  1. I guess anythings possible. Hell if this lady can do a situp I'm sure someone could build a decent bankroll by playing strictly SnGsLOL!! LOL!! Gotta love that.
  2. so you're saying that you are sacrificing profit by switching over to ultimate? why would you do that?Because poker is still just a hobby. I wasn't getting any better playing those games. I was killing it (at least what I considered was killing it). I play the $1/$2 tables now at Party and hope to finish the year at $2/$4. I want to be able to utilize my BR better, i.e., play higher limits and earn a high per hour profit. Sure I wouldn't mind making a few hundred dollar a week playing poker, but that's going to a take much longer time investment from me. I have a good paying day job, am
  3. It's defnitely possible. I started in January 2004 with a totally free $50 from Party. That was when Party had only 15,000 people during peak times. I kept track VERY extensively of my earnings, 4-tabling $10 SNGs. I found that as long as I fnished around 40%+ (ITM) and had roughly the same %ages of 1-3 finishes, they were very profitable sessions. Some days I would play 2-3 hours a day. I know that's not a lot relative to some of the people here. Then I got bore. Party SNGs became boring for me. There was relatively little skill when it got down to 3 handed. I considered moving up t
  4. Doesn't matter. You would have just lost half your bankroll in 96 hours instead of 24.
  5. Lots of accusatons of one sort of another. Let's just work through this problem together. One shouldn't think of the 300XBB rule as a 1 table 300XBB rule. 300XBB just means that you one needs 300XBB to withstand the variance.Think of it this way.If one played 40 hands on multi-tabling 4 tables, that's 4 circuits on a 10 player table. There is absolutely no difference than play one 10 player table through 4 circuits. Its EXACTLY the same. One just does it much faster. 4 times faster to be exact. Therefore, one does NOT need $12,000 to play 5/10 multi-tabling 4 tables.Does that make sense?Multi-
  6. What do people find is the best way to earn EXTRA money from the poker sites? PSO for sign-ups.Anything else? Other ideas?
  7. I used to play exclusively on PP SNGs at the $10+$1 and 4 table everytime I played. I tracked my results pretty religuously for a while. Nevertheless, all this to say, is that I found that a winning % above 45% is VERY good. By 4 tabling and having a pretty equal distribution between 1-3, that will make you $20+ per hour. Though, I never had lower than 39% cash rate for any one month, I would gather that 35% would be minimum EV+ endeavor.Between February and July of 2004, I played over 2,000 SNGs at PP. These stats are pretty much based on that. Before I get flamed for posting my own stats

  9. Thanks for the head's up. I guess it's time to sign-up for Bodog.
  10. I've been searching for this for a while. I don't think it exists. I posted about this a long time ago as well and didn't get that good of a response. Most sites make money on rakes and not on that much on the tournaments. I bonus whore by playing the low limits and use that to cushion my tournament play.
  11. You know, I have never used Poker Tracker. I'm pretty technologically inept. I guess I should invest in it. How do I get/use it?I've read through a handful of Sklansky books. That's about it. What else would you recommend and what are your main take-aways from those books. Everything else has been experience. My play is not very creative as I've never had to be. Just Tight Aggressive. But it's worked.
  12. Hey folks,I don't post very much, but have been here almost from the beginning.I have a little dilemma. I'm trying to muster the courage to move up limits and make my poker a little more worthwhile rather than grinding it out on the low limits.I've done all right in poker since I've started playing 18 months ago. Started with a very small BR. Basically, just went for the deposit bonus on Party Poker. Won my bonus, went up a few hundred bucks playing $10 SNGs. Proceeded to move up limit and lost my BR. A few months later PP gave me a free $50 to play again. I decided to stick to what I w
  13. With all new businesses, it will take time to extract customers from their loyalties. I'm sure that's why they hired Daniel to be their poker ambassador in the first place. Wynn understands the "Big" players' loyalties to the Bellagio. That's not to say that just because Daniel is playing at the Wynn that everyone will flock over to the Wynn. Other than trying to beat players' Head's Up, Wynn and Daniel are capitalizing on the exposure that his Head's Up challenge is going to have on the overall reputation of its poker room. All of this make great business sense. As for all the new ameniti
  14. I concur about the AK vs AA. Made hand vs unmade hand. But assume that your AK flopped an Ace or a K. Same aggessive scenario applies. No flush or straight draw on the table. What does one do?In the AA or KK scenario, I was bust last night in satellite tournament. I had AA, opponent had JJ. I had position. He raise pre-flop. I re-raised. He smooth calls. Flop come KJx. He raises. I reraise. He goes all in. I call. Am I just doomed in a situation like that?
  15. Question for you folks that play NL either cash or tournaments. How does one lay down what they regard as a premium hands? AK that flops a K or A on the flop. AA or KK that flop all junk cards.Simple example. You hold AK or AA and KK. Oppoent raises pre-flop. You re-raise. Flop comes. Opponents raises after the flop. You reraise. He goes all-in. Do you call or do you assume that he caught a set or two pairs?I usually play in the low (not micro) limits in both cash and tournaments and I'm struggling laying down my hand. I can't seem to read when my opponent catches his two outer. I k
