  1. I think these are all pretty realistic reasons. I know I stopped coming here awhile ago because like many other large forums there's too much garbage that gets posted and flaming that goes on. Perhaps forums should have more moderators who actively remove negative posts and comments in strategy threads that have nothing to do with providing value to the thread. You wouldn't have to sift through so much garbage and it would be more enjoyable for those that actually wanted to work on their game.
  2. I got to the table just in time to see them both go all in AJs vs TT and BOOM! TTx flop. The guy did have runner runner for the royal flush. What a sweat.

  6. Wonder what worse hand he thought would raise all-in? Be sure to ask him before he's busto.
  7. Reading that instantly made me think of Bob Saget's lines in Half Baked where he stands up and yells at Dave Chappelle's charcter for being at a rehab meeting for weed. "You ever suck dick for weed?!" So it's good to hear you had coke mixed in there too. I say that in jest. That sh*t is no good.Seriously though, it's good to hear of a teenager getting a grasp back on his youth before you hit a point where you look back with the regret of letting it pass by after it has been wasted. You're right, you have plenty of time and you're still young.Getting into the gym is a great way to spend your t
  8. Yeah, I created a log file an sent it on to support. They are extemely helpful. I guess they really want my rake. :)I know nothing about proxy settings so hopefully they can figure it out. And yes, I've tried restarting my computer, doing an unistall and reinstall, detached my router connection, closed my firewall momentarily and nothing has worked.I know it's no secret but Stars support has been on top of it replying within minutes each time I reply to a request of theirs. Very helpful.More booty shots would be welcome too if anybody wants to post them while I'm not grinding. Thanks much.
  9. Your avatar makes it better for the moment. Thank you.
  10. Is anyone else having trouble connecting to Stars? I removed and reinstalled but it's still having problems connecting. I see there are 150k plus playing right now so that sucks for me.A box pops up that says, "Error code -2/-83". I've contacted Stars but who knows how long it will take.
  11. Thanks. So now the dumb question. What was the triple crown? Obviously three wins in something.
  12. I haven't found it. What was the total?
  13. I work in a department at work that issues thousands of checks each day. I'm amazed at how hard it is for people to understand that once a paper check leaves the hands of the issuer they no longer can do anything to help other than stop pay and reissue the check. If they said it was mailed and it's been that long I would request that they stop pay and reissue it.The first part wasn't a jab at you by the way. Just venting about work at the expense of your thread. Hijack over.
  14. Results aside, having a good read on somebody is worth so much in NLHE (duh, yeah, I know). Sometimes it goes against what you would do 99% of the time and I would feel pretty happy about the results. Honestly I would have never posted this hand myself just because there's no way you can communicate a read this solid and justify playing the hand the way you did. NH either way.
  15. There are plenty of companies who refuse to promote people past a certain level if they don't have a four year degree. So having even a business degree will help in that regard. However, the only people who come out of a four year college and start making decent money off the bat are those in a specialized field, like the ones mentioned. If somebody comes out with a Business Management degree then they need to be prepared to start out at the bottom making next to nothing. I think I first realized this when a friend of mine who went to Iowa State for their Supply Chain and Logistics program c
  16. No Limit Hold'em Theory and Practice has been a good read although it's geared more towards live play at $5/$10 and up. I've found it to be helpful for my lower stakes online play though. It's a 2+2 published book by Skalansky and Miller.
  17. I believe "absolute" position refers to being on the button or the last to act in the rounds of betting after the flop. "Relative" position is attained when you're the closest to the right of a player who has taken the role of aggressor, usually preflop, by putting out a bet or raise.Relative position is an interesting idea. An example between the two if applied to a multi-way pot would be something like having four opponents in the hand.Button - HEROSBUTGMP2UTG limps and let's say MP2 raises preflop, you call and so does the SB and UTG. Your position is absolute in the fact that you're last t
  18. Since you folded I interpret the turn decision to be a probing bet trying to find out if he has the straight, but all you did was put yourself into a tough spot. Due to the villian's stack size I would rather check call over bet fold. Checking may even get you a free river card if he has the straight and makes the mistake of not betting it.
  19. Nobody has mentioned only betting $100 into a pot of $180ish with two opponents in the hand. Does anybody else bump that up a bit more? I realize with the exception of the two suited flop it's otherwise dry, but shouldn't the flop bet be a bit larger?
  20. Had the villian checked behind on the river you'd be singing a different tune.Raise on the turn MD.
