  1. I grant you that craps has better odds than the wheel of fortune or most of the other games in the casino. That being said I don't believe that there is a method to play the game that gives you an edge vs the casino. There's lots of other bets out there (like poker) where you're playing other players and the house is raking a comission thus you can get an edge with proper skills and game selection. In any case who I am to say that Ivey shouldn't go out and blow a few hundred K on the craps table just because he likes the rush.
  2. Yeah factor it all in. He started at the beginning of June with x and finished a couple of days ago with Y (assuming everyone who owes him some $$'s has paid now)(I must admit that it is funny how smart people who obviously know that craps games are tilted in favor of the casino will still play them. Surely a gambling junkie could get his fix with bets that aren't so one sided)
  3. I heard he tipped the dealers his prize money from one of his wins. Must be nice to be so good.

Doubled up on the first hand and decided to take it seriously.Sigh - one day I'll win one of these. At 4+ hours to get to the final table it's not really worth the effort unless you win.

  8. Been outside much in your life?
  9. Montreal is a great city. A bit of Europe in North America with some of the most stylish and beautiful women you will ever see.For dinner try Jacques Villeneuve's place on Crescent street called NewTown (Villeneuve - newtown. Nobody said Formula 1 drivers didn't have some creativity). Anyway the steak frites with foie gras is worth the money.Nightlife (if you're under 22 since 18 is the drinking age) is centered around Crescent near McGill University. If you're over 22 head to St Laurent. I like Club Rouge since it's basically 3 floors of dancing with bottles of Goose flowing freely all over t
  10. It was a serious BR management mistake. I'm primarily a live game player at the 2/5 table and I'm comfortably rolled for that. Lately though I was 6 tabling $100NL online and yesterday got stacked when my JJ was cracked by A2 on a JA2 , 2, 2 board. Somehow got the crazy notion that a winning hand or 2 at 3/6 would be a good way not to finish in the red for the day. In hindsight not the best plan in the world. Still lesson learned. Dropping back down to 50NL and do it again.
  11. Marketing f*&^kng geniuses at PokerStars! To play a 1c tourney yah gotta have real money in your account. The hardest thing to get new players to do is deposit - it's not a big stretch once you've put in $5 to rebuy fo r $50 and then get in the habit of depositing another $50 every Saturday night when your lame attempts to pick up the bar fly fail and you're feeling down. Not that I have that problem mind you. There's three moaning skanks going at it in the media room right now. I'm just worn out and jaded.
  12. LOL Somehow I finished 881/990 but busted on the first hand. Guess it's the late position!
  13. Out in the first hand when QQ<A7Funny I don't feel too bad at all about it.
  14. This is cool. They took out half the levels and cut the time in half too.Still I'll much prefer to getting blinded out in 3 orbits to bubbling after 6 hours of grinding the sunday million
  15. OK I'm in.Got to play within the BR yah know.
  16. I humbly stand corrected.Still.F*&*^*&K
  17. Thanks Man,It was a tough call and I was kicking myself for slowplaying the flop. I was really hoping he had an underset but geeze. Calling $50 into a $100 pot with a gutshot. Didn't see that one.

  19. Is there a trick? I opened an account and tried to register but it told me it was a private tournament and I couldn't play.
  20. So I entered a few satellites for the Sunday million on Stars and ended up winning seats. Being Mother's day and all this weekend I deregistered and ended up with $400+ in T$'s. As a cash game player mostly I didn't want the T$'s so I sold them for 97% of face value - great experience that took 5 minutes. My question - what does the buying company do with all the T$'s. They told me they would buy any amount I cared to sell.
  21. :angry2:HUGE overlays in the tourneys on Stars. $40K overlay on the nightly 70KAnd I can't log in
  22. Sex sells. An electronic certificate (showing a copy of your driver's license) that you can have sent to any potential partner's cell phone. The certificate certifies the date of your last STD test. After 6 months the certificate expires and you have to go get retested. Not a substitute for condoms but at least you would be better informed about the cleanliness of the skank you picked up in the alley behind the strip club.
