  1. haha the racist guy is challenging people to $5 (!) heads up matches. Awesome. Remember when he had to ask for money so he could play? "Give me $6 and I'll play you in a heads-up SNG," and then he proceeded to make fun of people for not loaning him the money. There should be more running on this... he shouldn't be allowed to post here if he loses. O wait, he shouldn't be allowed to post here anyway, because he collectively called the members of this forum a highly insensitive racial slur.
  2. You're welcome to stay, just don't feed the fish, don't tap the glass, and if you see a modified hello kitty avatar, don't try to argue.... haha
  3. I really really hope Mike Matusow wins it -- or at least makes the final table -- of course, if he makes it there, he probably won't be there often due to language infractions. How great would this be for TV? (or at least, for fans of TV shows such as South Park?)Actually, it'd be cool to have a pro win it, but I hope a semi-pro or amateur is sitting at the final table. We've got to keep the ball rolling. The more fish who throw some money at me online because of the guy they saw on the WSOP, the better. I hope ESPN reruns WSOP episodes from the last 3 years for the next couple months.
  4. just so you know phil doesnt play in big game and he said he never willFrom what I can tell, pokerguy or whatever his name is just likes to go around saying the complete opposite of what most people are saying to see what people will say about it. I'm guessing he means very little of what he says. If he does mean it, there is probably no need to try to respond. I don't think you'll get much results.
  5. phaze... sorry... can't help correcting... it's a disease...What I really wanted to say is: Admin (Who I call Chris for fun... not sure if that's his name or not, I can't recall) and/or JWeb, can we please get a sticky? Something simple:The forum generally recommends the following concerning management of your poker bankroll:No Limit Texas Hold 'Em-- At least 15 buy-ins; 1500x the big blind is also generally acceptable.Fixed Limit Texas Hold 'Em-- At least 300x the big blindOther games and recommendations could be added -- I would recommend 500x bb for lower limit Omaha games because it's s
  6. Yeah, a gentleman's game... haha... there are a ton of those that play professional poker...Please. Plenty of gentlemen curse. Gentlmanliness and cursing are two separate things, in my opinion. If you tell someone to fuck off, then yo'ure not being gentlemanly. If you say, "God I'm a fucking idiot," I think you're fine. You can be a gentleman and still be fucking pissed at yourself. Seriously, I think this rule is fucking ridiculous. The one time I ever really appreciated Hellmuth's actions was when he just blatantly disregarded the rule because he thought it was fucking stupid. O well
  7. Seriously I clicked that link and I can't believe he's still talking.Note to interviewer: Don't let subject take over the show.Seriously... he's still talking... dear god...Does this ever stop? Do they just let him talk for the rest of the night? I swear on my life I will never buy a single Phil Hellmuth product ever. No need to add to that ego... plus, I will feel like a dick lick.
  8. Lol, I thought that at first but I don't think a reraise deserves a "Oh censored!"It does when it's Dan Harrington. I'd say it every time he played a hand for the first 2 days, at least. Only I'd probably say it louder and I'd stand up and wave my hands to get ESPN's attention: "DAN IS PLAYING A HAND! DAN IS PLAYING A HAND! GET THE FUCK OVER HERE!!"
  9. Playing multiple tables at a lower (easier) limit is going to net you more money. You also are helping (in theory) to offset variance and bad beats across multiple tables. You are also battling boredom because you will see many more playable hands. Playing multiple tables is your friend.O, and by multi-tabling I mean more than 2... at least 3. If you're playing lower limits or micro limits, the decision aren't ever that difficult no matter what game you're playing. You're going to play straight-forward against the fish, so it's not like you have to make incredibly difficult and tricky pla
  10. extempor, what do you think of Paul?If I remember correctly, extempore said he thinks Paul is a pompous unintelligent jerk-off. I don't know if I'd take his word for it though.
  11. Paul Phillips is pretty damned hilarious, and seems like he'd be fun to hang out with. He says whatever he is thinking in his blog because he can. He doesn't get along with Hellmuth, so of course he's going to take shots at him -- they have had geniune differences in the past, so it's not like it's just 'sport' for him. Anyways... you asked for my opinion. Paul Phillips is entertaining, at the least.
  12. It's Hunter S. Thompson's 'insignia', if you will. "Gonzo Journalism", etc etc. It's basically a tribute to Hunter S. Thompson. Our country needs another Dr. Thompson desperately. It wasn't me -- I don't play at Bodog. Sorry, haha.
  13. Stop playing poker. Please.Wrong Answer.Continue playing poker, please. You'll get better. Choose either Party or PokerStars or Pokerroom. They're they best ones to play at. Ok, go have fun!
  14. For the record, I'm prepared to help in any capacity possible. If you just want me to sit around writing press releases and talking to the various online poker media outlets, fine. Done.I used to program, so I have the mind for it, but it's been a long while.
  15. this makes no sense. he bet on every street. should he have been sneaking double bets into the pot? :roll:Show me where he bets the flop instead of slow-playing it.
  16. limits from micro to highSeveral games, obviously. I'd really like to be able to play both NL and Fixed Limit versions of 2-7 Triple Draw, as well as all Omaha, Stud, and Hold 'Em varieties ... and I suppose Razz. I don't know that I'm all that interested in any other games, and I'm designing what I want right now, right? Propping and/or rakeback programs are always nice -- how to determine who is eligible and who is not is an issue worth discussing, but I'll avoid it at the moment.Simple yet aesthetically pleasing software is a must -- I like the vain variety of Full Tilt (emotions for near
  17. Full Tilt might be staking him.You understand it was a joke, right? You understand that he's been making fun of himself most of the WSOP on CardPlayer's video coverage, right? You realize you are taking the man much too seriously, right? You realize a TON of pros get staked, right?
  18. One of these days Suited. For me, it has to be a planned trip. I'm down in Lafayette/West Lafayette, IN. Driving up to Chicago is a trip, albeit a small one, that has to be planned first. Plus I'd rather not drive up there by myself, so I have to talk a friend or two into joining me.

  20. man... we're not flaming, we're just needling you for posting a site that has no hilariousness.I mean... putting my cigarette against my own arm and watching the skin burn was funnier (which I had to do to make sure I was still alive after reading that site). It's ok.
  21. The op needs to email them back and find out how we can get an FCP free roll going... or I guess one of us could email them and see about it. We've already got like 100 FCPers playing there and loving it, haha.Note to Owner of this Site (the one I'm talking to you on right now): Giving away $25 instantly, for free, and just to sign up is a GRAND way to get people to play at whatever room you want them to play at.By the way, I'm to $100 or so after a few hours of play. .25/.25 NL is fun.I really prefer other games, but the NL games there are just too ridiculous not to play, it seems.
  22. hahaha guy calls down and goes all-in with ... King high... that's right, on a paired board with an ace and me raising out of position every round, he goes over the top on the river with King high...I forgot how incredibly ridiculous NLHE could be.
