Its getting close to the end of the year, and this was my first year playing online.I've been quite successful in just over 2 months of play. But i cringe at the thought of giving half of it to Uncle Sam.What do you guys do?

IF the WPT championship is a 25k buy-in, then i don't see why the main event cannot be.

I have a question. I have heard that online gaming such as the poker rooms online is not legal in Missouri and Wisconsin (?) Is this true? I had assumed this because when i tried to make a deposit at CD poker, they said that they could not allow it because i am a resident of Missouri and that there was a law regulating that.

I'm in the same situation you have posted about. I took a $20 no deposit nec. bonus and worked it up to about $450 in about 90 hours of play. Its not alot to some, but its alot for me, and it will put me closer to the black this year for poker in general. (I'm in the red about 400 or so from live poker this year). Last night, playing a cash NL game, this guy who was having a rough night, had KK and raised, this guy called with 97 and flop was 997. the KK guy kept betting and finally lost 30 bucks after the 97 was done slowplaying. Then, he had KK again shortly later and raised 10x the BB, and i accidentally hit the call button with 5,4 off since i was mulitabling. The flop was 3, 2, J KK went all in and i had to call, and i hit my straight on the turn. Good times.

I don't think it is a matter of "running good". I think that i take a very wise approach to grinding it out on the cash tables. I play very TAG, and the only times i lose my buy in is when it is a huge suck out by my opponent (AA vs KK and lose) In general, I make good decisions and am willing to lay down top pair, great kicker when strength is shown. Why are you so touchy if i find that statement to be funny? Regardless of how much time you've spent grinding away at the play money tables, the fact of the matter is that it is play money that is being used, and there is nothing "challenging" to maintaining or protecting a stack that doesnt exist anyways.

I don't mess with low limit poker. Too many suckouts. I've found that i can do just as well with NL (even when i have a session when im not getting any cards) because there is always one donk that will bluff his stack to me.
