  1. I'm happy for Ben. Big weight loss, and huge getting back to the final table.
  2. Every single post in this thread, including OP, is a joke. Nobody, ever, ever, ever. Has EVER been good enough after a few months to become a pro. Keep your day job, stay in school, and play those $10 buyins until you have $2,000. Then play $20 buyins until you have $4,000. If you can't do that, you have no chance.
  3. Thanks Bob! Just finished it, and call me a sap but it drew a tear or two. Also, no caps needed, GWCGWC, but it definitely has to be one word.
  4. I guess I'm one of the animals then. I like when they interview some of the more obscure, "wacky" players. It kind of invites the everyman to sit down and play.
  5. It's probably been done before, but I like nothing better than watching Phil lose to "idiots". My thoughts, from the get-go: Wear a wife beater Have a mullet Constantly attempt to shuffle your chips, yet fumble them Pretend to wipe your face with a rag, but it's actually olive oil Wait around to look tight, wait for him to raise in late position, then overshove from the button and show J2o Laugh at him at every opportunity ...those are ideas to set him up, that you suck... but then what? I'm thinking DN has a good line with small-ball but for those of us without DN's
  6. I disagree with Daniel here (I mean in the relevant blog entry), and that's very rare. I believe, and think Doyle does too (he did say "ALL the criteria"), that players should be subject to rule #6 as well: "Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results." I don't say that to get rid of anybody, but players who satisfy the first five, PLUS the sixth? Well I think they deserve it more. And IMHO that includes Daniel. ETA: Why do I think rule #6 should apply? ETHICS. Pure and simple
  7. And it would teach them to play every hand and really suck! Genius!
  8. Slow poker news != dredge up nine year old zombie threads. This sucks, please don't do this.
  9. Congrats to Eli though I was rooting for DN all the way. Feed was 10x better after dinner break. Video still rough but at least the audio didn't stutter as much so I didn't miss any more hands.
  10. This wsop.com feed is driving me nuts with pisspoor framerate and constant freezes. They really need to get their crap together. UGH! ETA: I'm not normally one to look a gift horse in the mouth and it's better than nothing, but sheesh this feels like a seizure. if they can't keep up and it stutters this bad they could at least raise the compression a little. I'd be much happier with a more pixelated screen. I think they're going for too high HD and didn't expect the bandwidth usage.
  11. http://realmoney.durrrrchallenge.com/dwan-80to1-odds-2013-wsop-main-event-winner/ Wow. Ivey at 50-1
  12. I really hate to critique because I admire PS right now, but sheesh the quality of production there was bad. Commentators were rank amateurs at best. They missed half the hole cards, but couldn't comment because they were commentating on the same delayed feed we saw. I mean, I love it was free and available semi-live online, I just hope they can tweek it to be a little more professional. All that said, sometimes the deck just hits you in the face. Sincere grats to Scott Seiver.
  13. Maybe I'm just gullible and stupid, but to me, Howard's interview has an air of truth to it so far (episode 4). Though, I guess it also reminds me of the Iran/Contra scandal when Reagan just couldn't remember anything. Hmmph. I'm reserving judgement for now.
  14. For whatever reason, there seems to be a severe lack of reporting thus far of Daniel's progress through day 2ab... I've taken it upon myself to relay the hands from pokernews, and fill in the card details.Edit: Nope, can't copy paste shit. The links to Daniel's key hands from Poker News are below anyway.... Click the "Read More" links. Meh. Negreanu Snags One Early Posted 10 hours 6 minutes ago by joseph.hurless Daniel Negreanu. Chip Counts Daniel Negreanu CA 163,000 22,425 David Steicke IT 44,000 -22,6
  15. Do they buy you in automatically, or can you take the cash? Sounds like the cash might be better based on your apparent bankroll... $1.60 buyin, etc. No offense.
  16. Holy sheep shit!Just watched those two episodes on youtube and you're right. I almost felt sorry for Hellmouth too. Almost.S2E26 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BfdWOrt8WE...feature=relatedS2E27 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KkemlERZsU...feature=related
  17. Sorry to bump this but can anybody here answer my statistics questions?
  18. Hmm so yeah I sucked this year, scoring tied for 1,088th place with 22 correct out of 57 entries. The winners tied scoring 38 of 57.Random chance would say 28.5 correct, so I was 6.5 off, and he was 9.5 off random. So you statistics guys... I have a few questions:If we both picked at totally random (I kind of did pick random, who were those people?), my odds of sucking this bad were.... uhhhh.. wait OH yeah I suck at this kind of math too. Statistics and probabilities? I was absent that day.Anyway, maybe a math aficianado or two can chime in here... what are the odds, picking randomly, of doing
  19. Something interesting, huh?Well, I'm diseased. Yes, it sucks.I have psoriasis, and it manefests not only all up and down my legs with big thick coats of plaque dried skin, but also under my testes and behind my anus.It generally itches very badly, but when I scratch, I end up with blood on my balls, my fingers, and my ass.
