Daniel or anyone I guess, can you back this statement up with anything? There is mass chaos in several countries in the world (mostly in africa) and it doesn't make the rest of the world go into mass chaos. When did the US become the world police? it just makes me sad when I see how crappy our education system is, while we pour billions of dollars into a war that doesn't appear necessary.

That actually annoys me too. A funny story: At the CardPlayer/Bodog awards I ran into Phil early in the evening and he asked me what I've been up to. I said something like, "you know, just hanging out with some friends and stuff." I didn't tell him who they were, and I'm not going to repeat their names here, but he would have been impressed as they were high end celebrities. Anyway, Phil then goes into this routine: "Yeah I was just in Florida for a charity event. I charge $50,000 now for an evening with me. That's more than any other player. I ran into Michael Jordan there, he's a really big fan. I was supposed to golf with him but I told him I had to leave town, you know how it is. On my way here I stoppoed over at my good buddy Andy Roddick's house for a while...etc." He told the SAME story to EVERYONE he ran into that day, lol. It was funny comparing notes later.

This isn't just Phil having a big ego, I think he actually has very low self esteem and is trying to compensate, but goes wayyyy overboard. People who overly brag and try to always impress others are sad sad souls, trying to show everyone how "cool" they really are, because obviously they aren't cool enough on their own that people could figure it out.P.S. Daniel when I first read your blog I thought it was gonna be some april fools joke, then I thought you were on drugs, then when I saw that it was a parody I realized how absolutely hilarious the whole thing is. Phil's blog is very painful to read, and it's sad that anyone could take themselves so seriously. Bravo Daniel

Very true.. I bluffed a guy out of a big pot one time with 72os (it was my intention to bluff before the hand even started) and then showed, and he absolutely freaked out. The very next hand he pushed all his chips in with nothing and lost.

I don't think the real issue here is the money. I mean 25$ isn't really that big of a deal. The main problem is what a **** RaB was to Wandingo when he asked him about the money. If you need more time to pay back a loan, most people would be lenient and give you more time, but if you're a jerk to someone, who you already didn't keep your word to, then that's like a double slap in the face.

My point is why even bring it up. Why do you have to point out someone's race. Is it really an important fact in the story. This blog and forum used to be good, as a matter of fact very good. FCP used to be good and DN's participation made it even better. You never hear about FCP anymore in here or from DN. It was the fact that he had hands on participation within his own online poker community made it superior to other sites. I used to look on here everyday, but now the blog and forum focus has migrated from poker/sports to politics on a consistant basis. Now I look maybe once a week, and its the same (small) group of people posting and reposting all the time. Look back in the archives and you will see how the focus of this blog has changed. Politics and religion didn't bring people in here, poker did and so did one of the greatest players to ever play did. Topics such as global warming that people in here will spend countless hours aguing. Please, how does anyone in here know the truth. I don't know if global warming is effecting the ozone. Do I care about the possible end of civilization? No, I don't want to see civilization come to an end. Will people be responsible for the end of civilization? I don't think so. The forces of nature are a hell of alot more powerful than the little specks we are on the face of this earth. All its is, is 2 sets of scientific data, and each one has a lot of spin on it. One little hiccup from this planet and its all over. If anyone thinks that we here on earth are going to change the course of nature, your nuts. The natural course of nature brought this planet here and it will take it away.Jeez DN, go back to poker, golf and sports.
