  7. May be a dumb question, but I don't care: will players have any problems actually withdrawing from their accoutn on a site that suddenly decides to bar US-based players from playingon real money accounts? I'm thinking of Stars, where I transferred most of my online funds when they decided to stay the course.
  8. I have no idea of the percentage, but I imagine a significant number of the players in the last few years have gained entry through satellites. Increasing the buy-in will likely just result in more supersatellites. How many players did Party and PS send this year? Any statistics on how many entrants actually paid their way in?
  9. "People do stupid things. Woo hoo, woo hoo hoo, woo hoo, woo hoo hoo..."
  10. If the slow roller wants to see your cards, he can anyway. In most casinos I've played in, any player that was dealt in can ask to see any hand that makes it to the river. Yes, it's not polite to do it, but in this case, the slow roller is a obviously a jackass anyway. If he really wanted to, he could ask to see your mucked hand anyway.
  11. Varkonyi Wins Battle of BlindsAction is folded around to Robert Varkonyi in the small blind, and he limps, the big blind raises to $1,000 and Varkonyi calls. The flop is 6c5h4c, Varkonyi checks, the big blind bets $2,000, and Varkonyi calls. The turn is the 10h, Varkonyi checks, the big blind bets $3,000, and Varkonyi calls. The river is the Kc, Varkkonyi bets $5,000, the big blind raises to $10,000, Varkonyi then re-raises his last $1,400 all-in, and the big blind folds. Varkonyi now has $33,400.The blinds were 100-200, so there was around 36k in the pot when the original raiser folded to
  12. How'sthis for a donkey play? A player has just been disqualified from the main event. He was putting chips into his pocket when he was caught by a floorman. The player claimed that he heard it was ok to hide chips in his pocket, but that stuff doesn't fly in the World Series. He has been disqualified, and the floorman went on to say that this was the first DQ of it's kind for the entire WSOP. His chips were confiscated and removed from play. Ratholing? What exactly was he planning to do with these chips anyway? Even transferring some to another player makes no sense because a single player's
