My good friends that I play poker with and are people that I am around all the time, of course I tell them, because I would want them to tell me, hell if I see something from the rail I call them over and tell them...Some guy I'm playing against, I'd probably tell him I spotted a tell on him, then say something else, like if I spotted a tell from his betting patterns, I'd say, "I just want you to knwo I picked up a tell on you, everytime you have __ you touch your wrist." Then, he is trying to not touch he wrist and still gives me the tell through betting. Or if it was a tell through motion o

is this as good a trap as everyone thought?
Snydz9 replied to The Ace of Jades's topic in General Strategy
I probably would have bet out a smallish size bet, hoping to fold out the other players and signal that you had the blank and two pair, hoping to get a call from someone either with also the blank of the ace and then trap them that way. Checking the turn after making the full house and a smallish size bet to signal having a blank, shows that you probably did have the blank and are now worried that someone could have paired the jack and be above you with their two pair, inviting a player after you to bet out, especially with an ace. -
Well I'm the youngest of everyone here it looks like, 15, been playing serious poker since 13, and other cards games (like Rumee) since I was 6-7. I actually started beating grown men out of money at a tournament that I was at when I got to the final two, the guy asked me to show some ID stating I was 18.... you know how well that went over...

You are influenced by TV poker, TV loves to show the bad beats Gus makes, but if the show an entire game you'll see why Gus is such a great player...

So the No Limit Hold Em is the same as SS1?

Well, The thing is that when the amount of people left gets lower, you need to play looser, generally. Check out this thread for more advice...http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...opic.php?t=3275

bad poker etiquette on his part?or bad no call by me
Snydz9 replied to NMiz4REAL's topic in General Poker Forum
That is a dead hand, unless you are playing with To Table Talk rule, where in that case in wuld fold his hand, and give up the pot. -
I would say no, with a set you need to lead into the guy, bet about the pot size and if you get raised, you know you are in trouble by either someone else made their trips, of they hit the jacks and with you carrying a 7 probably with a better kicker like a King. Lead into him and if you get raised, then you probably got to lay it down, which takes great courage obviously, but if you think he might have you beat you should probably lay it down.

Jayson, I love that post.Poker comes down to the ability to read your opponent, and when it counts for all your money, thorw everything out the window and recall everything against him. Previous betting patterns, style of play, etc... And it really shows the meaning of stupid aggressive.
-
Exactly why I don't like that, in a tough descision you nee to recall everything you have leading you to that choice, Player style, Read, etc...Playing a syle on purpose is just risky in and of itself.

legal age to gamble (in casino's) in canada?
Snydz9 replied to Snydz9's topic in General Poker Forum
Alberta.. is it 18 or 19? I guess I should ask, and to the person who asked about me posting my freeroll wins in my sigs, why the hell not? If you beat out 2500 players then another 1000, I consider it a good feat. But that's just me. -
while the last post is very accurate to my views, I think depending on your stack size calling with the ace on the flop is an ok play, but after you hit the four you really need to test out the water, like about 1/3-2/5 of your stack. Then if someone is calling that, then they probably also hit two pair that will beat out yours, or they have Ace -2. Depending on the read, it was quite a bad play, if you are in it that far with the best hand you could make, then you gotta call it in my opinion, at this point you need chips, not to worry about money and or placing.
