This is only if I'm sucked out on, If I'm playing bad I quit.you should try it.
-
I used to tilt, I started to slam the table, throw things. I was getting worse rather than better. Now, I type in the chatbox and reload. It makes me feel better and has reduced the tilt alot. Find something like that, something not violent, that you can do.
-
seems standard I guess. For Comparison I'm at 21/15.75/2.8+, at 1c/2c and 2c/5cMaybe try and get more aggressive?
-
May results, since april, have turned ~$30 into $170 playing 1c/2c and have just started to play 2c/5c as well.June goals;move up to at least 5c/10c end of the month and be close to moving to 10c/25c so a profit of $200 would be good. Whats your vpip and agression, cos that is a little low for the micro levels.

So any advice for going back the other way. Whenever I play a tourney, I feel I play too tight and when it becomes time to steal, I'm risking practically my whole stack, ie, a raise will either commit me to this hand or commit me to pushing the next hand I play. And I don't like playing like that, I like to see some flops with postion and nice cards.Tourneys frustrate me.

So Howd You Come Up With Your Nickname?
mln_falcon replied to MyPlayIsRAB's topic in General Poker Forum
I've had my name since i was 12 and made my first yahoo email acct. I was really into Star Wars and tried to make up a name. Skywalker was too long or too stupid, can't remember anymore, Solo seemed lame, ooh all aloneness, so I went with the Millenium Falcon, which was too long. It got shortened to mln_falcon, and that or some variant on that has been my nickname online for everything except for 1 email address and 2 forums where people knew me live before online so I just put my actual name.Avatar is recent, decided I needed one if I was going to post regularly. I run linux so I went looking -
I've heard this alot. From someone who finds cash so much more fun, I agree, but what are some of the big differences you've found?

after following this thread since it was 12 pages till now, i realised it was time finally post in here. I think finally getting an avatar is going to make me a more active poster :fingers crossed:Love following the adventures of Mark, you are an inspiration. To babylondonks, stick with it, I know it can be done. I've been grinding the 1c/2c game for two months now, and have gone from ~$30 to $125 and have started to mix in some 2c/5c. Although it seems like I shouldn't move up as i run ridiculously good at 1c/2c hitting three straight flushes since i started and such.

Micro Limit, River Value Bets
mln_falcon replied to mln_falcon's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Thanks for discussion everybody, and I think its fairly obvious from the replys, if I'm going to just call pf, I must raise on the flop. Its a little odd for me because I have been a little bit more passive with my overpairs lately, but this isn't one of those situations(normally raise pf in position and am lead into). Also, I probably discounted my oppenent having an ace too much. While I still think it is more likely for my opponent to have a pp than an ace, its still a possibility. As bad as my line was, it probably made me the most money this hand,I intented to raise but had second thought -
Micro Limit, River Value Bets
mln_falcon replied to mln_falcon's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Just to make it clear, if I'm raising the river it's for the same reasons i should've raised pf, to be called by a lower pp, I'm not looking to fold anything I beat, as I said, I don't put him on the ace a large enough time to warrant worrying about it, unless he has a set of aces. No I'm not looking to find aces everytime i have kings, I'm just saying a huge amount of the times I have been three-bet pf, I have been up against a large pp.Reasons I didn't re-raise pf, I haven't been 4betting pf ever, so I kind of telegraph my hand. I know this doesn't matter so much here, but its important for -
