Mom of Protege

I want to say how very proud I am of Brian Fidler, Daniel's first protege. I saw first hand what a wonderful experience that Brian had under the leadership of such a great poker player and a really nice guy. He has so much memorabilia to pass on to his family and used some of his winnings in a very mature way. He fully paid off all of his college loans, including the parent plus loans that his Dad had taken out for him. Actually, the paid in full receipt arrived one week before his Dad died in August. Thank you...what an honor! I'm sure Brian wouldn't be in agreement with you telling me that I can do whatever I want. However, I do want to thank everyone associated with FCP for all the support and encouragement that you have given to your 1st Protege. It has surely been a thrill of a lifetime for us all. That's OK Brian... you did great! You can't fight a flush....Just think of the great experience you have had and all the cool people you have met. A few months ago, I'm sure you never would have dreamt to have been playing in the main event in Las Vegas. What a thrill for us all...You have made us pretty popular at home, too! It's been very exciting being parents of Danel's first protege. We are very proud of you and congratulate you again on your winnings during your months as protege. Now you need to get out there and root for Daniel.....I think your coach and mentor may win this one. W

Hi Daniel and Happy Birthday....it's Brian's Mom!!! Been thinking about you guys out in Las Vegas and wishing the best for you both. It sounds like a wild and crazy time. Brian is so thrilled and excited for this opportunity and you have been great with him. I want you to know that I did teach Brian the proper way to do laundry, so there should be no excuse as to why your clothes have turned colors! Organiizing your shoes and shirts, now that's another story!!! Have a wonderful birthday celebration today, and if Brian is joining in on the celebration, I hope I don't see you both drunk

Thanks, Daniel for the nice compliment about how good Brian listens. He was always a great student. He especially was good when he liked his teachers. You are surely #1 on his list. He is having the time of his life. Thanks for everything!!!

I'd be asleep if I drank wine...don't want to miss the ending now!!!! Besides, I am at my daughter's house watching this with her. She has landed on the couch and I am now in charge of the updates. I still have to go home tonight and be back here by 7:30 am to watch my 17 month old grandaughter. I hope she takes good naps during the day because I think I'll be napping right along with her.

I am so nervous I can hardly stand it!!! He has been in events that have made me a wreck before, but this has to beat all. I can't pry myself away even to get a soda.

We're supposed to be coming Friday evening....If Brian should, or should I say, when Brian wins this, he may not be around on Friday and we may have to change our plans. Can't wait to see your new apt. Hope you'll be around.
