yeah this is such BS. the other day after making a nice cash I had my account up a nice amount. the next day I go to log in, and bodog has to for some reason have new software it had to download. what is this the bad luck software. went from running well enough that atleast my big hands didnt get cracked more than usual, to the sickest kind of beats. and I know BBFIDTS so I will save the details, but its funny that Ive been running bad for 3 days, and bodog hasnt had any new software to download. must only have to do that when running good....aka the switch of doom. I assumed he made the play to mix it up because he and doyle def played enough to know each others style, but personally I raise the flop if Im chan, he just made it way to easy for Doyle to suck out. I mean what if the river is an 8, and doyle makes the same bet...and if chan moves in hes busted

HEy I was watching Poker after dark and the hand where chan limp with aces, then calls doyles raise, then just calls his bets on flop and turn. then on the river doyle bets again and chan moves in. I really dont like this play because I think hes only going to get called by a better hand in this spot. I Mean hes made very easy for doyle to outdraw him, and unless he puts doyle on TPTK at this point, what hand does he really think Doyle will call with here unless hes ahead. I guess I could see chan making this play with a busted draw or making the straight on the river, but not with aces.

hey just started playing at bodog, gone past 3500 hands. my stats show that I have seen 46% of the hands, and won %40 of those. I have won 27%, and 57% of showdowns. any tips, like playing too many hands or whatever

right after 2nd break in 2k guaranteed on BODOG. sitting at 4k, average is 8400. blinds 200-400. 2 limpers, I move all in with 44 from the button. everyone folds to the UTG limper who has 7k in chips who calls with k10. obv a 10 hits or there would be no post and Im out. Im wondering if I should fold 44 or raise 3X the BB or if what I did was right I just got unlucky to lose a race. anyways what would you knowledgable players do in my spot.....btw since I had gone from 10k at first break to 4k from the coldest deck I have seen, 44 was looking like AA. oh and I was playing tighter than

hey guys Im trying to figure out how much I have won/lost since I started playing online poker. I can see my stats at FCP through sharkscope, but the other 2 sites I have played at regularly (Doyles Room and Bodog) are not on there. I was hoping that someone could help me out with my tournament play. It seems that in most mtts I enter, which range from $10-$50 buy-ins, I am able to build my chip stack quite steadily in the early stages. I feel like I play a similar type of poker as DN(just not as well as he does it) as I play many flops, keep most pots small with just tptk, and seem to only get involved in huge pots when I have the nuts or close to it. The weakness in my game seems to be not changing gears when the blinds go up. It seems like the higher the blinds get, to where I only have around 20X the BB, I fall ap

poker is all luck and chance, even though knowing how to maximize bets and knowing pot odds and those such things will allow to win in the long run. if it was more skill than luck than I could never beat phil ivey, even though it is realistic that I could beat him every once in a while. take for instance a game of skill like basketball where never in a million years will I ever beat LeBron James, or any basketball player for that matter.

yeah Florida poker rooms suck. the daytona beach dog track has the same $45 buy in where $13 goes to the house. But here you get 2000 in starting chips, blinds starts at 100/200 (yeah seriously) and go up every 10 hands. no way anyone could ever beat these games over a period of time except the house. THe only moves in these sngs are all in pre flop with a decent starting hand. occasionally people limp and since they are so used to playing the stupid $1/2 limit games, they are prepared to take a stand with any kind of pair. so all in all, Im sticking to online poker.

So Im beginning to think that poker sites have a little switch that they can hit anytime to make you run good or bad. I mean one day you win most of your races, when the guy reraises you all in he has QQ to your KK instead of AA, and his KJ goes down to your A10. Now on these "other" days, you lose everytime with AK to 55, when you ger reraised today he has AA, and those damn Js keep hitting on the river to win an all in pot. Ok now just a quick thought, Party Poker has a scam against U.S. players. Now I know it sounds unreasonable, hell it did to me the first time I thought it could be possible. Just think about it....I would say around %70 of Party Poker players are from the U.S. Now when they will no longer take any wagers after the bill gets passed on friday, they stand to lose a lot of money. but wait, what if somehow they could manipulate their own system to make a higher amount of bad beats US players take.
