Anyone here have one or getting one? Im kinda confused on how it works and where you can use it. It looks like it is for automatic use as well becuase there is a 5 dollar charge everymonth if there is money on it (thats how I read it). I was thinkin about gettin one just cause of the whole debate about taxes and online poker. Thanks

Yeah your def right about not showing a profit because of the number of calls in low-limit. Thanks.

Yeah It hink she says that in the book but in general I think the theory applies to any limit.

Ok so I just finished up reading the limit section in SS/2 by J.Harman. Its awsome and for the amount thats in there, under 100 pages, I think I learned more than I have from reading some full books. It really gave me a full understanding of some of the concepts I didnt fully grasp, such as isolating by 3-betting and some other random concepts. Anyways, in the starting hands part she reccomends raising in mid position if no one has just to pick up the blinds with JT (no specification on suited or not). Is there any argument that calling with JTs would be more profitable than raising with it an

Its on cardplayer.com, anyone heard anything about it?

I pretty much second everything everyone has said. Bad interface, terrible software, slow cashouts, and outages (getting better). With all that said....the players are terrible.....easiest site on the internet. You can search any forum (RGP, 2+2) and they will same the exact same thing. Its a tradeoff im willing to take for all the little fish swimming around on there.

I definately agree that if you dont like the rules then dont play in the tournament. There is a bar up from my house that hosts a tournament every wensday, 5 dollar buy in, 100 player cap. The winner gets a whopping 50 bucks and I think 2nd may get 25.....and thats about it for payouts. Now I understand that you cant "officially" win money becuase of the gambling laws....but that means they are making $425 for hosting the tournament even though they dont provide food or drinks. I def have a prob with that...so therefore I dont play in it.

The Harrington book is def next on my list. I have a bad bad habit of buying and starting a new book before I finish one im already working on. Everything Ive heard so far about it though seems to be positive. Plan on finally getting into SS/2 today so ill post some thoughts later tongiht.

Am I the only one the is surprised by the lack of advertising for this book. I figured every store in the US was gonna open at midnight or something the night it came out. lol. But seriously, it seems like no one knew it was coming out this week.....and considering the demand for it, just seems weird that no one knew.

Havent got into it yet, im sure I will tonight though and let you know. Every thing Ive heard about it though makes it sound like its the most amazing thing since sliced bread.

Picked up SS/2 at Barnes and Noble here today. I was randomly looking at their website last night and checked the release date for it. They said on there they could ship it to me Wensday, which I thought was odd becuase last I heard it wasnt supposed to be out till some time in February. Well it wasnt on the shelves when I went in there and I figured they would have it displayed out like the holy grail or something becuase on every other end-cap were poker books. Asked one of the employees and low and behold they had just got in 10 mins before I got there.....sweet. Its a pretty steep 34.95 bu

I recommend the Capelletti book as well. Extremely helpful and easy to understand if you wanna learn O/8.

I think the most "legendary" online player is probably 'neverwin' on pokerstars.......always at the highest spread limit table with a bankroll well over 100k in play. There are a bunch of posts on RGP about how he might be a bot....or that 'neverlose' is a bot.....or even better that 'neverlose' is his dad. Whatever the truth is its funny.
