the way you have to look at it is just like the poker superstars... the 1st round is just a satellite to get into the super 16. as lederer point out in a hand w/ 'jesus' where he pushed w/ AQo in his last match, there was 25% that he coulda been knocked out with that hand. note these are two different hands, obv. but still its the same situation. KK looks like a very strong hand but indeed is not in this spot. if your opp. holds ANY ACE, 30% of the time you are going to be knocked out. the best situation is is your opp. holds a KQo< or the underpair or non connected cards. even though you are still a 4 to 4.5:1 favorite, you are still going to lose the hand 1 outta 5 times. sure thats only 20% but, 20% of the time you aren't going to receive $$ or your goal, the ticket. the goal is to finish 7th (for $)/6 (seat). the only way you should exactly push there is is you are severly short. if you feel someone else may go broke b4 u, wait.

if u lean towards not playin the 215, and play mostly tournies, just keep the t$ and dont bother selling them. that way u keep an extra 30$ or so... edit, jus realized it was W$ whoops

ft. laudy has a pretty decent cardroom for tournies..seminole casino (not hardrock) sat-630p- 100+30 (entry fee)+20 (bounties) tourny 4000 chips 5$ dealer addon for 500 chips, blinds start 25/50 raise every 20 minutessunday 12p- cant think of what tourny there is, also 6 or 630 a 55+10+10 start 2k in chipsbasically a tourny every nite at 630, tuesday nite is omaha h/l cash game = 1/2 limit or 2/2 limit

blah i busted in the damn shiet....im in the BB w/ like a lil less the 3K blinds 100/200 button raises jus a lil less then 3X i move w/ Q9d tryin to pick up the raise, he shows AQ, flop a 9, dub up.next hand in the SB i have TT, folds to me, i raise 3x, bb reraises me, i push for 4500 total, he calls w/ KK, no T.well i dunno much about any casinos over there, best i'd suggest over here is seminole hollywood casino (not hardrock). their tournaments are pretty well structured. players are kinda soft, i've played 4 mtt's there so far, 2st = win, 2nd = 6th, 3rd = 8th, 4th = turned 3rd nut flush, only for the guy w/ AhJx to hit the river. but for the 55+10 and 55+10+(10 <-- bounties)$mtt's, start w/ 2K plus optional 5$ dealer add on for 500, 100+30+20 start w/ 4K + 5$ for 500. blinds go as25/5050/10075/150 not sure if this is there still100/200150/300200/400300/6004/86/128/161K/2K (100 ante) and pretty much doubles the rest of the waypretty nice

not many people in it today?? jus had a nice couple pots one w/ AQ on the button where like 3 others limped, i limped, flopped top two got two calls on a raise off the flop, then a 750$ bet on the turn, both players folded to my all in on the river, basically dubbed up w/o showdown, then AA few hands later v.the button, flop Q99, i bet it out he raised me, i reraised him and folded w/ 1100 chips left5400 on break

im in, so far donk raised utg w/ ATo i reraised him w/ TT flop comes JJA, i bet the flop he calls turn check check, river, he bets like 1/4 of the pot i curiously call to see if he played his AK/ AQ soft, showed the ATim apparently a donk for raising w/ TT in mid/late pos.he doesnt know what a 'db' is either.... sigh

definately w/ a big chip stack you wanna put your opponents to the test. they are going to be the ones trying to make the $$, esp. if they are short. but you gotta look at it this way, are you there to just make the $$ or or you there to win?? i've played 4 tournies at this same casino (55+10+10, 10 for bounties, 100+30+20 bounties x2, and a rebuy event in that order). the first tourny i ended up just playing TAG mostly cuz people were going in right and left and i wasn't givin much of a chance to play w/ my nice stack, top 14 paid, made it to the FT 2nd in chips only like 5K behind the CL (3rd was bout a 50K drop off) and managed to have AJ suckout v. my QQ with an ace exposed, then suckout KK w/ QJ =D, managed to win the tourny.2nd tourny i had about 60K (top 3 stack) w/ blinds at 1/2K i'd been playing aggressive w/ that like raising in mid/late pos. w T3d and turning a flush =D, then had a donk push all his chips in in the CO w/ J4sp and i wake up w/ KK on the button, i push the blinds out and figure imma add about 30K more to my stack, unfortunately he rivered 2 pair and now i changed to the TAG style from the LAG style i had. point being if the action is playing tight on the bubble play LAG if you got the stack definately. if you are on a short stack, and have prolly > 7 BB's or so you look for a spot to dub up w/ 2 live cards so you can put yourself in a spot to win, unless you are fortunate enough to pick up a huge hand

I beg to differ with starting Gado. Justin Fargas is going against an overrated San Diego defense the past few weeks, plus Mr. Merriman is on his 4th game of his suspension. Here's the stats for the #1 HB's v. SD's defense@ oak jordan 10/20 yds, fargas 5/35 ydsv. tenn lendale white 8/22 yds@ balt j. lewis 15/34 ydsv. pitt parker 14/57 yds TD@ sf gore 10/55 yds@ kc l.j. 28/132 2TDv. StL jackson 18/84 TDv. Cleve droughns 19/36@ cincy rudi j. 18/85 TD@ den m.bell 20/90 TD, d. nash 10/52SD is 7th in the league in run defense, but the past two weeks w/ the suspension of Merriman looks like it may have taking some role.One other way to look at it is if you are betting OAK +13.5, you figure Fargas will equal 20+ carries so OAK keeps it close. I only like Gado for the fact that HOU is playing NYJ. Last equation, what type of league is it? TD's only, do you get a point for every 10 yards like in my league or every 20-25 yards? If yardage is more important, then Fargas is your man. TD's though and Gado looks like the better canidate.
