  1. I don't know of any sites that still offer $10 for 1 million play chips. Best I've seen lately is $4-$5/mil.

  7. OP is mad because he didn't get any value from his boat. And, what is with the preflop min-raise? (edit: oh, missed the misclick note in op)Open folding is not reserved for donks only. I've seen some very successful on-line players do the same on the river.
  8. Should we adjust our bet size based on the number of people in the hand. For instance, we are 5 handed to the flop and the flop is draw heavy. A pot sized bet would offer correct drawing odds for most draws to the 4th and 5th players to act after our bet if everyone calls. So, should we assume everyone will call and over bet the pot based on that assumption, or do you adjust it down a bit assuming some will fold?I'm not a fan of just pushing the flop in most situations. There are of course times when a push is correct. But for this example let's assume everyone is deep stacked.Thoughts/ideas/o
  9. The only players who don't deserve a pot are the ones who fold the winning hand. This is what poker is all about as far as I'm concerned.
  10. That's poker, baby!Nice move on the river, IMO.
  11. Paradox indeed. But, I've caught more than one player trying to pull this move on me before when they tried to represent the made flush draw on the river. However, I've been caught paying off a flush draw as well.I'm not sure there is a straightforward decision in this situation. If there is, I'm missing it.
  12. Agreed.I can understand Gus' play against the shortstacks. The poker gods were watching over Gus, for the most part.
  13. Yeah, I guess I'm too much of a tight nit. Completing in the SB is ok, but once it's raised I have a hard time calling.
  14. I never play this hand preflop from the SB.On the river, I would re-raise at least 3x my opponents bet, to about 750. We are only getting called by the Kc here, maybe the Jc, I don't think anything else will continue or raise your river bet.Min-raising in this spot on the river can be a tricky way to get our opponent to push though. But I still prefer to play it with a bigger re-raise.
  15. Slow plays are dangerous when the board texture is unfavorable. In your case, there are a couple draws there that beat you if they get there. Therefore, imo, this is not a good spot for a slow play.Pay very close attention to the texture of the flop.
  16. Then the odds you need to consider in this hand is with one card to come, therefore, you need 4:1 pot odds to call as Merby explained. The 37% (2:1) you stated is with two cards to come, you are actually 20% (4:1).
  17. I agree with you about implied odds, that's why I bolded and changed the text size of the IF in my reply. Takes a really good read for it to work.
  18. I'm fairly certain Merby is correct. An all-in situation is the only time to use odds with more than one card to come. All other situations you only use the odds with one card to come. But, there is that little concept called "implied odds", or as I like to call it, "the excuse we use to chase a draw". It's a good concept IF you have a really good read that your opponent will pay you off on the end.
  19. I fail to see how knocking multiple players out of a tournament by sucking out is "running over the table".Getting your chips in when behind is not good poker. I tend to think "running over the table" is out playing your opponents, not being out played.Just my $0.02.Karma sucks, Gus got some handed to him on the last hand.
  20. You will likely not get a serious answer to your question here. How long have you been playing poker? How many SnG's have you played? Have you really "studied" the game? In your opinion, how good of a poker player do you think you are, and why?
  21. Hi folks, it's me, the "New Years I'm gonna loose most of my BR to constant bad beats/coolers" playa!!! LOLI don't know what it is about the new year that completely tags me for all the bad luck, the same dang thing happened last year. I had a great Dec and followed it up with a horrible Jan. Just a terrible run of bad luck. Oh well, c'est la vie!!Anyway, I'm glad to report things are once again headed in the right direction. I was down to about $80 (from a high of just over $800). I fired up a sunday mil sat Last Thurs Night and won. I was up to a comfortable $290 after unregistering from the
