  1. I'd like some opinions on tournament play where a very short stack is in desperation mode and as a result is going all in repeatedly AND the big stacks are refusing to call. Does this kind of play make you laugh or drive you nuts...or do you really not care?
  2. It would seem that picturing such things (wandering mind...remember) is what I'm trying to avoid.
  3. The dealer is actually involved in the game. He/she would deserve a tip. I fail to see how the convenience store clerk deserves a tip in this situation.
  4. I think it has a lot to do with the lack of physical tells. I constantly find my mind wandering or not paying close enough attention to the other players. I will take notice if someone is constantly raising preflop or bets big everytime an Ace hits the board, but most of the time I can't even remember what I folded.
  5. What did you do to warrant a tip? Did you bring him Big Gulps every 1/2 hour? Maybe if you had lent him the money he would've paid ya back double.
  6. I've only been playing online since August 2004 so I still have an enormous amount to learn. Despite my "poker virginity" I feel that I am ahead of where I thought I would be. There are aspects of my game that need improvement (isn't there always) and some that I have not even touched (odds for instance). My immediate goal is to improve my concentration. Anyone have any suggestions? Any good books out there?
  7. I think you played the hand well. You could have thrown a bet out on the river, but I think you're only getting called or raised with a hand that has you beat.I do think the other guy could have played the hand better. If he bets anywhere to see where he stands, I'm thinking you may have folded.
  8. I don't think the sites are rigged, but I do feel there is cheating going on. I'm sure there are bots playing and the scenario mentioned above about the college students all on laptops seems very likely.
  9. As a graphic design artist I would be willing to take on anything you wish to throw my way. You WILL need permission from Daniel and company before you go ahead with this plan. I'm fairly certain that Daniel (or his people) are already working on this.
  10. Competition is good. With so many players it has its share of fish and its share of great players. The software is awesome! I have yet to see better. The bonuses seem okay. They have a fair amount of freerolls also. Offer bonus dollars for referrals to both parties. Have not cashed out yet.

  12. There are a lot of pro players on UB. I downloaded the ultimate buddy thing to keep track of when they are online. Scott Fischman (emptyseat88) is always on there. He's been playing a lot of Omaha 8/b lately. Josh Arieh, Phil Helmuth, Annie Duke, Dave 'devilfish' Ulliot, Shaun Rice and Freddy Deeb are just some of the players you'll find.
  13. Poker Mountain already uses props (sfbob for instance). They sit on the $25 bellagio satellite waiting for others to shop up. I have yet to see a game played at that table though.
  14. Careful....others have been banned for less. LOL!
  15. I didn't think TECs were transferable!
  16. Hey Jayson, the real question is did the Queens have ya?
  17. How much does the top 6 pay? If making the money is your goal then you could only play top 10 hands. If you want to win, you should continue playing the same way; it's worked for you up to this point.
  18. What was the original question....the definition of a shorthanded table?
  19. It seems there is a group of individuals (49 members strong at last count) that claim 92 is a Texas Hold'em hand that has remarkable power. This group, or cult if you will, talk of how 92 has won them countless pots. This group, which seems to be spreading like gonorrhea, call themselves SIK. Some believe so strongly in "Sik" that they are willing to push all in preflop. God bless 'em. Unfortunately (for them), the majority of these individuals do not win with 92. Amazing I know, but true. Those that do win go on to preach of the powers of sik while those that lose automatically become
