When he raised and then called your re-raise, a proceed with caution alarm should have went off. If this guy is a horrible player than he may be calling with a lesser hand like a straight. However, he had a big stack too so you have to assume he knows what he's doing. On the end when he bet 4800, you should have called rather than going all in. In my opinion, the only call you're getting here is from a better hand. You would have been crippled but you still would have had some chips to work with. The trapper never thinks he's being trapped. -

The winner of a $1.00 buy-in should not receive as many points as the winner of a $20.00 buy-in in my opinion. That is why!Dust off that scientific calculator.Good luck!I am assuming everyone buys in for a fixed amount and starts witth the same amount of chips. -

Actually, it's a Neil Young quote!

2:05 ESTChip counts (estimates):Daniel Negreanu - 265,000Chris Ball - 320,000Michael Mizrachi - 90,000Scotty Nguyen - 180,000Mark Napolitano - 110,000Jeff Shulman - 90,000Stan Goldstein - 350,000Chao Giang - 320,0002:15 ESTDaniel is miffed that we are playing 5,000-10,000 already. The table sentiments are with him.2:20ESTReraises are never getting called. Players are pushing and no one is gambling. Negreanu is now raising a few pots and winning the blinds, still a little upset over the structure.
-
1:38 ESTDaniel opens for 15,000. Chris calls from the big blind. Chris bets 20,000 on a KT2 rainbow. Daniel calls. Chris checks the T on the turn and Danny bets 30,000. Chris checks the 9 on the river and Danny moves all-in and is called. Danny makes a king high straight, Chris shows kings up. Danny doubles up.

I agree...it depends on how big the blinds are. I would definitely raise, but going all in is in all liklihood only going to get a call from a better hand or just win you the blinds. I would throw out a good sized raise and hope for a bite. When the flop comes down 3, 7, 10, rainbow and CrazyJoe pushes all in with A-T (that's what they do) then you can move in.The buy-in must also be taken into consideration. There seems to be a lot more sheriffs as the buy-in gets lower. If it only cost you $1.10 (UB) go ahead and push all in. You'll probably get a call from AJs and 99.
