  2. Yahoo is a big flaming pile of shit. I hate it. I have spent all morning dealing with finalizing keepers and trying to set up the draft but the system is stupid and looks like I have to manually add keepers to teams which makes no effing sense to me at all. Then it will add a keeper cost and then I have to use that against what each player has to spend, which I haven't finished doing either, and people need to confirm those numbers as well which no one has all weekend. This is way more work than I planned on. I leaving for the rest of the day. Hopefully I can get back to it and figure it out tonight or tomorrow. Has anyone decided who is taking over the yahoo part of this deal in case people forgot that I said I would not do any admin work during the season?

We all could make excuses. But we committed to the league and found the time within our busy lives. I have no doubt that if one of us found out that we could not find 30 minutes in 34 days to do this we would step down. But you don't care do you? Maybe you do, hard to tell. Doesn't look like it. I for some odd reason am now starting to take it personal. I am the one waiting on you. I have things to do in my life just like you. I have RL obligations. And I have fantasy obligations. Then we gave you another day and now if we give you another 2 that will be alright and I will just have to sit back and waste more of my time waiting on you like I did last night and tonight. Everything was all set by the other GM's but Nell kept coming around saying, "sorry guys, I will get to it soon" and we all were waiting till one day he just ignored us then a couple days later quit the league. Seems kind of familiar. I can go back in this topic and find you saying Sorry at least 4 or 5 times. And here you are tonight, leaving the league. Again, how is that not a fair comparison. Sure you aren't a dick or a douchebag but you still inconvenienced the league. Everyone but you followed the deadline. Everyone but you took part in the weeks of discussion over new rules to make the league better. You haven't logged into the website since 8/25. Are you trying to tell me/us that you are interested at all in this league? I don't see it. So I pointed it out. Do you want to be in the league. Then be in the league. You can be in the league and not have to deal with me. I am not a commish, I have no power. I will leave you completely alone if that will make you feel better. I don't give a shit. I just don't want to spend next Thursday night spending the first 90 minutes of the FA draft filling in your roster because you didn't do what everyone else was able to do in 34 days. That is all I care about. I have extended the Keepers till Saturday at midnight. Decide what you want to do, let danny or whomever know. I personally don't think you are interested and correct me if I am wrong but this isn't the first time you have "quit" this league. Sorry again, I no longer buy your act. If you want to be in the league then participate. If you don't then just say you don't. No harm no foul. It's not a big deal. You don't have to post 1000 posts. You don't have to do scores, but sign up, meet the deadlines, and post a lineup on gamedays. That is simply all anyone is expected to do. If you can;'t do that then well, don't.

  5. Yeah not like he hasn't had weeks to do it before leaving town but whatever. I set mine way back around 2/11. I canceled the deadline for keepers. It's set again for tomorrow at midnight. Not out of kindness but out of my desire to not have to sit there next Thursday night building a team that didn't set their keepers like everyone else did.

I know this is a big hassle for some of you but it is the best that can be done unless someone has the means financially and/or professionally to create a site like the old FCHL site or something similar.This is a link to the 2012 Farm RosterOn auction night have this page up in your browser and you can search before you make your nomination. I could take the time and search all 166 players to see if they are in the yahoo database and then create fake teams in the league for them but that will jut be a big waste of time and make the long process of the auction draft longer because those other teams would need to be participants of the auction draft and since they will not be present it will create a clusterfuck of a situation. It takes 30 seconds to search if you are unsure. You can do at anytime, preferably before your actual turn but either way, this is just how it is going to be. Sorry.Starting tomorrow I will create the same type of sheet for roster players. If we all did our keepers correctly the yahoo database should be correct for the FA draft but I will do it nonetheless so we have it.I will also post up a sheet on what pitching is available tomorrow as well one I see which RFA pitching teams remain unsigned.

    The complete lack of super tecmo bowl is killing me right now. Not Tecmo Bowl. Super Tecmo Bowl which was 100000000x better than the original as it had real teams and real licensed players and kept full stats. I think that is all I did at college. All 28 teams were taken by 28 of us on our floor and we played full season after full season against each other. I resent Wayne's and JP's because they didn't hide their email like John and Serge did. This needs to be sooner rather than later so that you can set your keepers from last season and I can get the yahoo league set up for the auction. There is also a lot of talk going on the last week at the fcbl forum about possible rule changes. If you haven't been there then I suggest taking part or letting us know you are not interested if that is the case so we can find a replacement.Thanks.

  12. Sorry about the lateness of this. Hopefully I will have time to get it all down before my replacement comes back and I have to go back to training. So Wednesday afternoon this gentleman shows up at my office and tells me that he is the power of attorney for the my serial killer. He is also his I guess, health advocate. Seems serial killer has some mental issues. Bi Polar, dangerous to himself and sometimes others, has been committed a few times in his life, most recently 6 months ago. Well that I guess sheds some light on how creepy I found him to be. He states that he had dinner with SK on Friday evening and no one has seen or heard from him since. He hasn't shown up to his job, won't answer his phone, and he just buzzed him and got no response. So I knew where this was going. He wanted me to give him access to the apartment to check on him. I had no idea if anything this guy is telling me was true. He said he could get paperwork but it would take a couple hours to drive home and get it. All this talk about him being dangerous just bothered me. I felt like Murtaw in Lethal Weapon. I told the guy I have 2 days left and I don't want to get into a dangerous situation by opening this guys apartment for you since you claim he is dangerous. He begged and pleaded and asked if we could at least enter the building and pound on the door. Fine. Gah.So the minute we entered the building it was obvious the outcome. How these not picky pieces of shit in that building never once called us about the horrid smell is beyond me. The crazy lady next door who complained about people taking showers never once felt the need to call and say "hey, it smells like a dead person in our apartment building?" Some tenant had piled his 5 newspapers at the foot of this apartment door. Hello! He hasn't picked up his papers in 5 days, his car is sitting right outside and IT SMELLS LIKE DEATH IN THE BUILDING, didn't tip anyone off to maybe give someone a call? It still irks me. So we make a game of it I guess and pound on the door as if we had any reason to believe he would come sauntering down the hall and open it and say, Hey guys! We opened the door and found him collapsed on his bed. Bloated, skin was all a odd black/blue color, and well, it still smelled. So I called 911 and got police out. We both had to go through questioning since we entered the apartment and were the ones who found him. ME stated that it looks like he died middle of the night Saturday morning. Suicide or heart. I doubt I will ever find out which. If murder than crap, my name is all over the report. Ha!Spent a couple hours in my office with the advocate guy. Guess he has always been off and when he doesn't take his medicine he can get easily angry. I talked to him pretty much about all the incidents that I had with him and he said that was common for him when he wasn't medicated right. A few of the things he said were outright lies like when SK told me that he knew the priest that lived in the apartment before him and used to pray with him. Guess that was not even close to the truth. Kinda sad though. I know these people make for entertaining stories from time to time and his story is by far my favorite one to tell when people want to know what my job is like, but it is unfortunate that he was sick and that he did die. At least now his story will live on, as the serial killer who wanted to anal rape me before killing me. Too soon?Eeeya possibly. Oh well.

  14. Yesterday was quite the day. I have no idea how I got though it all dealing with people angry about money they owe.I will make this short as possible but we have two sisters who live her in separate apartments. The mother lives with one of them. They received a letter stating that the one in C owed $560 and the one in K owed $710. Since their lease is up they need to renew but you cannot renew unless you have a zero balance. The mother called me Monday night and said that they didn't owe any money. I said, ok, call the number on the letter (my boss' number) and talk to him. I don't handle the accounting. So she kept telling me that she didn't owe anything. After 10 minutes of this BS I told her to tell her daughter to come in Tuesday night and I will get a statement from my boss and I will show why they owe the money. Cool.So I have him send statements for both girls because I didn;t know what one she was actually referring to at the time.I as I perusing it I see the issues. First issue is that K never paid July rent. So there is their issue. The issue with C was that she overpaid and her Feb rent was actually $560. Talking to the mother they were coming in Tuesday to pay Feb rent but thought they still owed $560 on top of that. It was actually they only owed $560 and that was that. So I just was going to wait till Tuesday and deal with it.I get in Tuesday and my coworker is on the phone. It's the mother. She called and wanted to know how much money to bring. I looked at the sheets and said $560 + $25 late fee now so $585 for C and $735 for K. She wanted to argue about late fees but after the 5th it's late. So deal with it.She hangs up and then I look at it and realize. Shit. The numbers are messed up. Their lease ended, so their $50 off a month ended. But his accounting program kept them at the same $50 off rent price. So now they owe $50 more for rent and another $50 for the security deposit increase. So now actually C owes $685 and K owes $835. Oops. I figured this out late and then the mother calls. I explain the issue and she starts yelling at me that I said she owed $560 yesterday a each time she calls it gets higher. I told her $560 yesterday and that is that. Nothing we can do about changing that. I laughed a bit and told her it doesn't matter what I say. The simple fact is that yesterday I went by the paperwork that was sent. I had not seen it. Once I did see the paperwork I found that the accounting system messed up. They can look through their lease paperwork and they will find a signed copy of an addendum to the lease that states as of 2/1/12 their rent will increase b $50. I explained that earlier that day they called me as I walked in the door. I didn't have my coat off and you are demanding numbers. I agreed I should have called them back once settled but they were adamant on getting numbers then. But the fact remains, if yo want to sign a lease, then pay this amount. If not, then move on out. There was some screaming and yelling but eventually she gave in.She and her one daughter came last night. She asked me to do something next week for her and I said I would not be here next week, that Friday is my last day and when she found out the reason she kept trying to talk me out of it. Get day care. Bring the kid and leave him in the office. Fu ck NO! Not a chance. She kept saying it was not right to not make money for my child. What a bitch. I just rolled my eyes and waited for them to leave. That reminds me of the guy in A who saw the picture I have of Jin on my desk and asked me who that was. I told him my son.Him: That is your son? Is your wife Chinese?Me: No. He is Korean and we are adopting him?Him: You;re adopting him?     Even with late fees his rent is actually 640. If he just paid on time his rent is $590. People are just stupid. That is all there is to it. Alright, 2nd story.So last month a woman comes in. She is the daughter of one of our older tenants and she tells us that there is mold on a couple walls in her parents apartment. She is not happy about this and tells me herself at that time "Mold is not something to mess around with, we need to get this taken care of right away!" Yuppers! No question about that. So I call the maintenance man (referred to as MM from now on) and tell him to go take a look and see what is up. He does but between other things it takes him a couple weeks to find the source of the moisture because that needs to be taken care of first before repairing the walls. I am sure I don't have to explain why to any of you but I have spent today repeating that about 6 times already. Anyway, in the middle of that the tenants leave for Florida like they have been doing every year for about 15 years. They will be back in April. So Tom got the roofers out to fix the roof which caused the issue with the water coming inbetween the walls and thus creating the mold. Then he started on the repair of the walls but got sidetracked last week because of 4 move ins. No biggie, they are in Florida so we have some leeway in time. Today a woman who I have never met comes in and says that she is the daughter of these tenants and she stopped by and noticed that someone has been in the apartment. Me: Yes, we are taking care of the wall that had the mold issue.Her: But no one has contacted us that this would be happening.Me: Umm, I guess your sister was the one who came and told us the issue and told us to repair it. So we are. Her: Must have been my sister-in-law. Who is repairing it.Me: The MM.Her: HE IS? Me: Umm, yeah, is is the MM here. Her: Well I was not made aware of this.Me: I am sorry but the tenants asked for this to be taken care of. I uh, I don't know you so I wouldn't think of, umm, calling you.Her: I just don't see how you can just do this.Me: It's mold. It's not something to sit on. It needs to be taken care of. We have every right to do so.Her: I don't like know MM is able to enter the apartment whenever he wishes.Me: How else are we to get it repaired if he can't enter the apartment. We were asked to make the repairs, that allows us to legally enter the apartment to make those repairs. Her: I don't like this. I am going to call my sister-in-law. Me: Sure. Bye.So then just a bit ago the sister-in-law calls.SIL: Hi Steve, I was the one who talked to you about the issue. Me:yes, hello.SIL: My sister called and said she was in the apartment this morning and saw someone had been entering it.Me: *sigh* yes, we are fixing the walls you requested us to fix.SIL: And it's the MM doing this.Me: YesSIL: Why are you entering an apartment without letting us know about it.Me: Hold on a sec. ( I go grab a lease off the other desk) Your parents signed the lease. The lease states that we are allowed to enter the apartment without a tenant present to make any reasonable repairs or inspections. You put a work-order in to take care of the mold. So until that is repaired that remains and open work order and we can enter the apartment to make those repairs and we are doing so. What exactly is the issue?SIL: We told you about this last month, why is it not repaired. My dad says that MM stopped by to look at it and try and figure out what the cause was but he has yet to be able to talk to the tenant above. Then they left for Florida. We have heard nothing since. I need exact dates when everything was going on with this issue.Me: I can't give you exact dates because I am not the MM. But yes, we need to find the cause of the issue and take care of that first. If we fix the walls and there is still the issue that caused the mold then well, you get the picture. Once MM figured out the issue your parents were in Florida. They still had mold on the walls so we have the right to enter still and repair that. If you want dates, talk to MM. But the fact remains. Your parents apartment is in need of reasonable repairs. You yourself told me to fix it. So we are. Again, what exactly is your issue here? I really want her to spit out what I think the issue is. They think MM is going to rob their parents. I see no reason to make this big of a deal about it. And I know for a fact that if I had access to their dad's number in Florida he would not have an issue. This is the kids overreacting. SIL: I don't understand why you are entering the apartment and not telling anyone.Me: Simply because we don't have to. You asked us to repair it. We are. We can't help the fact that your parents are in Florida. I will tell the MM to stop what he is doing and notify the property manager and tell him you don't want us in there until April. My guess is he will tell MM to get back in there and fix it. Mold can spread. No reason not to fix it. Better they are not there anyway for this kind of job. (This mold effects 3 large walls in two different rooms).SIL: No I don't want you to stop. (What? THEN WHAT THE F IS THE PROBLEM)Me: Ok.SIL: I will call MM and see what is going on.Me: OkI haven't heard back yet. My guess is MM probably wont even answer the phone.
  16. Only 3 days left in my wonderful job. Figured I would scrape the barrell of any semi interesting stupid tenant stories I get this week. I got a couple. They probably suck but it does show that the human race is either bad at math or just annoying.First story was from yesterday. Since I am leaving the boss decided he should probably do some work and see if anyone owes us large sums of money. There was a lot. One in particular owed us $2145. He moved in 6/1/11. I guess he got the letter about it and called my boss and they got into a circular argument. The guy I guess just kept telling my boss that he didn't owe it. My boss said he did and if he believes he doesn't owe it, show us some cashed checks or money orders that we are unaware of. So my boss said he would email me his full rent statement that shows each payment he has made along with check and money order numbers and he can sit down and see where he thinks we messed up. So the guy calls me all angry asking me to take care of this and fix his account to show him with a $0 balance. I tell him that he already spoke to that guy and that I have nothing at all to do with accounting. He didn't seem to like that and kept telling me to fix it. I kept having to explain that the person he discussed this with earlier was the property manager and the accountant for the place. He is my boss so there is no chance of me telling him what to do. I told him I had the statement ready and he could come pick it up and he told me to just take care of it myself and figure out where we messed up. Umm, no. I don't have his checkbook or money order stubs to do that, he needs to come over, pick it up and do it himself. He said he couldn't and would stop by today. I told him I would leave it at his door. So I did. But before I did I perused it and I saw the glaring issue and why he indeed owes us $2145. I decided to be a nice guy and wrote out 3 pages of detailed notes going month by month to show him that he is basically an idiot. For 6/11 and 7/11 he paid his rent in full and on time.In 8/11 he paid but the check bounced. He submitted a replacement in early 9/11 but never ended up paying the 9/11 rent as well. So now he is a month behind. He stays one month behind till 12/11 when that check bounces. Again, he doesn't submit a replacement. So now he is 2 months behind + tons of late fees and he has yet to also pay Feb rent.Oh and look who just pulled up! More later!

I hate the thread structure and I just must be too stupid to get it. I like Felicia Day though. On Tosh, his show is awesome. I don't care if he allegedly rips people off at reddit. At least when he is doing that it makes sense to me and I laugh and I need laughter in my life.
