  1. Come to Holland. Poker all you want, coffeeshops, sexy women and... pretty damn central. 30 flight from London, Berlin, Paris, etc.
  2. That made my milk shoot out of my nose from laughing.God, love that movie.
  3. Are you all so bored that you suddenly decided "Hey, I'm gonna give a sh!t about this WPT lawsuit thing".So a bunch of over-the-top players sued a pokercompany. Who cares. There's only 1 winner: the lawfirm.
  4. Or get a job and stop attention wh0ring.
  5. If that is the message you got from it, then that's unfortunate. I tried to explain that you need to be cautious with certain hands/players. I'd never fold AQ with a board like that, but when I make a substantial raise and I suspect somebody is smooth calling me then I'll probably not press the All-In button. What I didn't mention is all the times I will go all-in with strong hands or the times I win pots after a good bet. These things aren't worth mentioning because they speak for themselves. What I did try to advocate is to stay fresh/alert at all times. Sometimes you hit TPTK and you bet, bet
  6. That's interesting. Could you explain? Certainly wasn't meant to be.
  7. Pokerpages has a 30k freeroll I think... got to qualify first.
  8. I was replying in a different thread about stealing when suddenly this post became too lengthy for that specific topic so I decided to put it in it's own topic.*DISCLAIMER*This is how I improved myself. This may be totally opposite of how you play the game. If this post sounds familiar, it may be of use to you, but it is by no means a strict guide. Just some observations.-----------The ProblemI build an above average stack till the first break. After the break off to a good start, usually in the top 20 and after that (towards break 2) things slow down and I get into trouble. The DiagnosisI play
  9. will make a different topic for my post.. got a little lengthy

  11. Take comfort in the fact that you'll eventually win those hands more then you'll lose them.I'm now at the point that little red flags pop up in my head after I raise pre-flop and somebody calls... and calls me again when I bet heavily on a AQ6 board. You could think they have AK, but wouldnt they re-raise you pre-flop more often then not? Also... pocket QQ doesn't seem too far fetched. Sure, I have a Q, but nothing is impossible. I'd rule out KJ, but I'd have to see the player in action.Always ask yourself why somebody would stay in the hand with such a tricky flop. Knowing from own experience
  12. Risk all your chips with KK pre-flop and who's gonna call you? pocket pairs or AK/AQ... too much heat for those cute little kings.Just raaaaiiiseee and see the texture of the flop before risking your tournament life. Stay away from those damn coinflips
  13. (view DN's blog)Sure, there are a lot of no-brainers in the massive field, but they won't be able to survive a field of 8000 people. The ones that do are decent / good players who may be the best in their area, but simply never gave up their dayjob to become a full-time pokerplayer. And isn't a tournament win the catalyst to becoming a professional? Look at Madsen... http://www.pokerlistings.com/poker-player_jeff-madsenSave to say he's now a professional. :)So you never know what hidden treasures may pop-up in these tournaments. The best player in the world could be an amateur. The WSOP is the
  14. You start off by saying "serves me right for donking it away", but at the end of the sentence you blame others for not playing 'right'. Sorry to hear you got broke (been there, done that). But it did serve you right... you wanted to build your BR quickly by playing limits you shouldnt be playing and you failed. That's not their fault, that's your fault.btw, there is NO right and wrong way to play poker. It's whatever works for people that is the correct way to play. You might not agree, but that doesn't make it wrong. People nowadays really believe that you are only allowed to play poker by th
