  1. On the flop, I was pretty confident he had a T. On the turn I was nearly certain he had AT...Villain time banked for a little and commented "zzzz AA?", but then called. The shitty thing is that maybe this particular villain would have folded to a $15 bet on the river... who knows

  2. I probably flat on the button here I think we aren't really all that connected with AJ95.As played If villain is in on monkey tilt I can get it in on this flop but I don't think he's folding his hand when he leads out here very often so I'd probably flat and hope for a 7 on the turn obviously we lose some of our flush draws value by flatting but I'd rather play a small pot with this hand. Just my two cents. Something else to consider (if we dont think villain is folding) is how deep you and villain are here we don't really want to play a 300BB pot with just a nut flush draw and a gutter to a non nut straight.
Since the pot was 4bet preflop, I think most often playing a small pot is not even possible anymore. Even if we do flat the flop bet, there is over $15 in the pot on the turn.We think the villain has AAxx orr KKxx correct? What would you do with that hand if you get raised on the flop? It would seem like you were racing or crushed.
  3. Ok, I decided I have to become accountable for my results if I'm ever going to take this more serious than pure entertainment. It seems to me that there aren't a whole lot of PLO players on the site but I will be posting HHs and any insight or questioning of my play is welcome and encouraged. Very Short Meaningless Back Story: Started off playing Hold'em SNGs and MTT where I've notched a few 4 figure scores (still looking for that first 5 figure). Basically I've always played strictly for fun If I ever had a score in a tourney live or on line I'd just cash it out or take it out of my , and I'd never made any attempt to practice BRM or build a bankroll of any sorts. If I busted it I'd just be done until I had some more money for entertainment purposes. Over the last year or so I've gotten into PLO and I now consider it my best game I just feel that my brain is much more comfortable with the way Omaha plays as opposed to Hold 'em. I've since invested in a couple of Jeff Hwang's books on Short-Handed PLO which I found really easy to read. Before this gets to TL:DR level as far as this challenge gos I'm going to try and navigate my way up through small stakes PLO and make a concious effort to practice a BRM strategy and build a bankroll. - BR < 30 BI requires a move down- BR > 50 BI allowed to take 1 table shots at the next level (preferably short stacking)- Post atleast 1 interesting HH and with thought process from each session- 5 Buy in Stop Loss- Not sure how I should work MTTs and SNGs since I do plan to play them occasionally atleast probably just keep a seperate amount in my account alotted towards them Any additions or suggestions would be appreciated.

  6. Getting rediculous odds to call off at the end, but at the time I was calling I thought that if I did not have this little re-draw... maybe i should fold???feral_cow_icon.gifFeral Cow PokerPokerStars Pot Limit Omaha $0.10/$0.25 - 6 playersButton: $15.27 SB: $25.00 BB: $12.00 UTG: $11.18 UTG+1: $53.52 CO: $32.30 (Hero)Preflop: ($0.35) Hero is CO with :ts:5c:qh:4h (6 players)UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $1.10, Button calls $1.10, SB calls $1, BB calls $0.85, UTG calls $0.85Flop: ($5.50) :3h:club::jh (5 players)SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $2.25, Hero raises to $11.98, Button folds, SB raises to $23.90 and is all-in, BB calls $10.90 and is all-in, UTG calls $7.83 and is all-in, Hero calls $11.92

  7. So I don't really know what the weak flop donk says about his range... I believed that typically a strong hand would XR and squeeze the fish on the button. A weak bet is a great way to squeeze me and keep me playing straighforwardly with the fish to act behind me. Since I believed the fish would call a raise cold, and since I was ahead of the draws, pairs, and pairs+draws I thought the BB might be donking, I raised for value. When I got 3-bet on the flop it was decision time: fold or call with the intention of jamming a safe turn. I opted for decision #2 thinking of how wide his cold-calling from the blinds range really was. But his bet size on the turn was also weird to me... he was clearly committing himself. Strong draw? (If so I should follow through and jam.) Strong made hand? (If so I should fold.)I appreciate your thoughts!
Concerning the bolded, what is a safe turn when you consider the flop action? Is a villain really donk betting/3 betting small pre with a draw? I would say that Villain could put u on the draw once you only call the flop 3 bet.On the turn as played, why even jam at all? Just call and call river as well when he bets.**On another note, all these stats seem like information overload to me.
  8. His flop raise is terrible imo. JJ is really the only thing you should be calling a raise with there and if you have JJxx the money is going in 90% of the time anyway. Like... no flush draw and even calling with 89Tx would be bleh on the paired board.
After I do get raised on the flop, do you like the call? What about my Check / Call Turn, donk river line?

  11. Fold first time, fold second time. That is a hand that NLHE players think is pretty but has got so many holes in it that it could double for an episode of lost. Your flush draws are to the second nuts and third nuts. Out of the 6 possible combos in your hand, only KQ and 46 are playable. So you can never make any kind of wrap draws. You are also OOP to half the table. Then you get 3bet by a short stack at 25 PLO which is AA 97% of the time (the other 3% it is AAKK)
Great post. Thanks.I think single suited I am always dumping.
