If you don't play, then why are you playing poker to begin with.In the grand scheme of things, 200 dollars will not mean a lot to you. But you will never know what could have been. Good playing.On the last hand, it's important to push AI rather than call it b/c w/ 1200 you still have FE. You were late position anyway, you had time to wait until everyone folded to you to make a push.

Online poker may be in jeapordy, but not as much as you may think. It is extremely difficult to track down an "individual" who is playing cards online, so you are fine for now. In addition, there is no gurantee that this bill in congress will pass, just as the other ones didn't. Don't worry about it until you hear news of it being illegal; then you can worry.

Ok time for the update. Here is the recap of last night.Before I leave, my friend mike (the one's gf i kissed) bet me $100.00 that I couldn't have sex w/ her tonight. I take it greedily. I leave for the bar, ready to work the A game.Unfortunately, as many of you predicted, she wasn't anna K. Not close. In fact she wasn't even blonde. She had nice tits, but thats it (a classic butterface) But the problem was I had made a bet, and I hate losing, especially to mike. I had no choice but to proceed, and did so by immediately ordering 3 shots of JB.As the night progresses, we have this exchange.Anna: You ever play strip poker? I decide i was a moron for even considering not f-cking her, and proceed to take her home.Well today i have already received crap from people about the situation. i dont care, i just won $100.00. He had just gotten bluffed earlier, and was steaming a little bit.The hand completely shocked me.I think you might need to change your read on the SB...maybe, "sometimes doesn't put big money in w/o a solid hand but also quite possibly will put it all in with a hand that can't possibly be ahead". :)Good grief, what was he thinking here? -
I think I made two mistakes; one on the flop, but the bigger one on the turn. The flop bet (which was half the pot) was supposed to look like a probing bet, and the smaller raise was so I would get an overcall (with such nice pot odds). The mistake on the turn is inexcusable. On the river I don't see how I could fold. 2-1 against a LAG, he could have a worse 2-pair, AK (maybe), or a pure bluff. I end up calling, and he shows A-9 for 1 pair(??). He even said after the hand if I raised more on the flop he was out of there, so my sucker bet worked out.Well I'll live and learn for next time, when I'm not so lucky

Table is generally loose and aggressive.Blinds $2.00-$5.005 handed-Hero is in BB, dealt Ah-7c offsuit-Folded to Button-Button limps ($400.00) ( Button is LAG player who is also a calling station) -SB($700.00) Raises $5 to $10 (decent player, somewhat LAG, but doesn't usually put big money in w/o a solid hand) -HERO($400.00) calls $5.00, Villian 1 calls $5.00Pot: $32.00Flop: As 7d 3c (gin!)Sb checks, HERO bets $15.00, button raises to $30.00, sb calls $30.00,HERO reraises $75.00 more (do you like it or not), button folds (??), sb Calls $75.00Pot: ($240.00)Turn: As 7d 3c (6d)Sb bets $50.00, Hero Calls 50.00 (huge mistake by me IMO, as soon as I said call I slapped myself, literally. A cont. size bet on flop would be great, and if there is a call, then a c/r on turn.I'm not opposed to raising with it UTG, either, but I'm not opposed to raising with many hands from many positions. :)In any case, can we all agree that this was not the hand to slow play? -

For all who are bored and want a good story:Last saturday night, after recovering from a 24 hour hangover (racing someone with shots of bacardi 151 is a supremely bad idea), my friend Mike calls me up, asking if I want to get backed the local "Big one" ($350.00 buy in). I wasn't planning on playing in it this week, as last week did not go well for me, but I figured what the hell, if I'm getting backed I'll do it. So I show up at the place about 2 hours early by accident, and decide to start having a drink or 7. By the time the tourney has started, I'm yelling incoherent german words at the dealer b/c he looked like Tony G, and hugging everyone at my table. Start w/ 1,000 in chips, 44 players, blinds at 5-10 (sweet structure). After collapsing in my seat, I'm ready to play.First hand I'm facing a raise, and a reraise, and I look down at K-3 in the small blind. My first tough decision had arrived; actually, it wasn't that tough. I insta-pushed. when the second guy folded his QQ (he showed it), i proceeded to show my krablar and began to dance. Usually, I'm pegged as a TAG player who will pull a move every once and while. Not tonight. I'm raising almost every pot, putting people all in w/ massive overbets, and basicially being the guy at the table that everyone wants to bust but can't. When my backer stops by, i give his gf a big kiss and hug him. I couldn't be happier.Here are some highlights I wrote down as it went:9:12 I move tables. This one girl is increadibly good looking (think Anna kournikova in her prime)9: 30I pick up a sick tell on Anna. Whenever she is bluffing, she shows a little clevage. It's hot and profitable.9:55 I call one of anna's clevagebluffs OOP w/ 10-3 for bottom pair. 10:48I bust a guy w/ 3-2 offsuit, and he freaks out.10:58I bust his best friend w/ 7-2 10 minutes later. They hate me.11:30I bust the defending champion w/ 10-7. The table loves me.11:44I double up Anna w/ JJ on a shitty play. The table loves me more.12:45I begin trash talking the dealer, threatening his manhood and children if he doesn't give me a playable hand. I win a pot w/ AK and hug him.1:00: Final table time!1:14: I switch my drink from Coors light to bacardi 151. my table shivers in fear.2:00: I raise my 14th straight pot, and still win the blinds2:45: I end up heads up w/ Anna. She wants to split, but i tell her i will only split if she fellates me on command. She doesn't appreciate the humor.2:55 W/ a large chiplead I'm holding K-3, and raise on the button. She reraises the pot. I call. Flop is AK2. she checks, i bet, she calls. turn comes 8. she checks, i bet, she goes AI (about a potsize raise). I see no clevage and fold, and she shows an ace. 3:01 I began tilting a little after this hand, and was visibly upset about losing w. K-3. Now that we were even in chips, I pick up AA and shove all in, a huge overbet. she figures i'm tilting and calls w/ AQ. tourney over, ive won my first live MTT completely drunk. 3:20: I put a 1,000 dollar challenge to anyone who wants to play heads up. I find a taker. It's anna.3:25: I win another 1,000 from anna. I decide to try to work my mac game. I get a phone number3:45: I pass out in my apartment much richer, and about to be extremely hung over.I love poker and alcohol and the krablar. god bless fcp.

Alright Cobalt i gotchya. The sense I'm getting is that it isn't a move for people who aren't as adept at postflop play, but if your confident in playing deep in a hand then its a fine raise. Thanx.
