  1. David Heyden (15k chips) has 5 WSOP cashes - 2nd in a Stud event in '92, and 4th in a Razz event in '88. Most recent was 14th in Razz in '05. No information on anyone else.
  2. Dammit baxter, you jinxed us all. I just bubbled in a tournament I've never failed to cash in before, and I've lost 1/3 of my (tiny) bankroll tonight
  3. More importantly, do you actually speak Swahili?
  4. This is an old scam. It originated as a school lesson:The teacher auctions off a $20 bill and tells students the bids must increment by a dollar, and he'll sell it for any price, even $1. The catch is, the top AND second bidder have to pay, even though the second bidder won't win the $20.Obviously people start bidding, and it gets close to $20. Everyone but the current top two drop out. The bid is at $19, and the second place person bids again, knowing he'll only break even, but it's better than paying $18 and getting nothing. The other student suddenly realizes they'll lose $19 and bids $21,
  5. http://cakepoker.com/en/HandHistory/Defaul...HwojCxsbEzcY%3dFatBurger: Good fold, I rivered a straight**Six hands later**schoondog: how did u river a straight when the second Jack hit the board
  6. Final payouts aren't showing up in a print-screen friendly way, but top 40 get paid, and 35th gets nothing.1st - $56.722nd - $12.283rd - $74.404th - 9.40I'm out in 82/124 with turned straight vs rivered flush. I think I'll pass next time I see one of these
  7. In 14 hands I've had AA twice, flopped two sets (10s and 7s), and hit trip jacks......yet I've had people hit way too many straights and flushes, and I'm at 1,090 (started at 1,500).Coincidence? Maybe the cards are crazy too.
  8. Basically, yeah. It looks like they're paying top 1/3 of the field with randomized payouts.
  9. It would be funny if the money was spread out across the field instead of the usual top 10-20%. Last place could be the most money, and everyone in the tournament would shove the first hand hoping to get knocked out.EDIT:I'm registered, wheee!!!EDIT2:Yeah, that confirms it - top x% get paid like normal, but the places are shuffled randomly each time someone registers. Right now 4th place is most money and 1st is second most.

  12. This may be my only post in this thread ever, so enjoy it bitches!FatBurger- Cake / $5R / PLO8 / 124 / 22nd / 23.64
  13. I've just run into aces the past 6 times in a row I've had kings. I believe the odds of that are 1 in 174,565,250. So yeah, losing a race and having people hit two outers isn't as bad as it could be.
  14. In a dollar tourney I could see someone calling you with AJ, AT, KQ or something similar, but that also means they could be calling with AK. Even with that small possibility in mind, I think there's a much larger range that has you beat. I can easily see them having K9, A5, A4, 66, 77, 88, etc. You're putting in >50% of your stack in this hand up against far too wide a range. I'd raise to 5k preflop and c-bet against one villain or check behind against two.EDIT:To clarify my opening statement, even if one of them had something like AJ, they folded it on the flop, leaving the one that beats

  17. Picked up the blinds a couple of times, but nothing major. 33/69 at the first break.
  18. I don't think I've ever done it with HORSE, but I've joined an Omaha table thinking it was Hi/Lo. First hand couldn't figure out why my nut low didn't give me half the pot.
  19. I was worried about the luck when I was completely card dead for 3 levels (except for AA once with no action), but I just tripled up with jacks full, so I feel better :icon_dance:29/94 right now
  20. Finally registered in one - TID 159046502. Hopefully Mark didn't use up all the good luck.
