Hey guysI am currently putting together a Ball hockey team, however we are having trouble coming up with a name. Now i play poker in my home game with these guys and gambling or playing poker we do regularly so we were thininking of coming up with a name poker or gambling related. We came up with aces or the gamblers, but personally both those names are plain, so i was looking to FCP for some creative ideas. Hopefully i can find some help, or get flamed for asking

hey guysok my home for the past 7 months of my poker career, has been titan poker. however with the recent ban of US players games have dried up considerably there. Especially for me being Canadian, games at 11 pm are so hard to come by, and the games the do have are becoming tougher to make money in, and i play micro limits.im looking for a new website to call home, so im looking for advice. well im located in canada so cashing out wont be a problem, but i might move my roll to another site, seeing as how i mostly play at nite when alot of european players are sleeping, meaning the lack of US players will dry up my games significantly

heyso i wanna cash out 300 from my account, but i have never withdrawn anything. i was wondering whats the easiest route to cashing out. i heard that neteller is ahving hacking problems so i dont want to put the money directly into my account. OK i just recently deposited 50 bucks online 5 months ago, have built it to 400 playing micro limits. my original goal was to reach 400 which covers the cost for my books next year for school. however i have enough saved up to buy the books without my online money. my question is should i just keep building my roll, or withdraw it for books. I will be honest im a decent player but i do make huge mistakes, im still learning. any advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks for the replies, the tournmant is like apoker leauge 2 tournemants a week. final table all get points, and the winner of the tournaments plus top 10 in pts go to the tournament of champions where a WPT event mostly the niagara falls one (we are in toronto). SO making the final is important in acculimating points, but im the kinda person that really just wants to win. ive come in 2nd but still ahvent found a win there, so im kinda really searching for it.

Playing in a live tournment.I have 6000 in chips, the blinds are 300-600. theres 13 ppl left, and i had just successfully stolen 2 rounds of blinds. Despite having 6000 in chips in the middle of the pack in terms of chip count, the blinds got really high.I pick AKoffsuit one from the button. UTG (chip leader about 15000) limps, player to his left short stack moves all (2500). folds around to me i decide to re raise all in to isolate myself and the short stack, (i put him on a small pair and was willing to take and coin flip) fold back to UTG and he thinks about it for awhile and finally calls.

it funny, all the regulars who play in thos tournament, happens once a week, i play occasionaly, said it was a big move, and that i ahd plenty of chips to make the final table. the regulars are also the same people, who say Pocket jacks are just slight underdogs to aces cause of the straight possiblities. Its funny how for ppl who play almost every week, and do well in the tournament on a consistant basis, make the most absurd comments. i really hope these ppl set up a cash game i can play them in.

im not sure if this is the place to post this but heres the handim in the SB every folds to the button, who limps in. I pick KQ offsuit. Now i have 6500 in front of me with the blinds being 300 600. there also 14 ppl left in the tourny. Live setting. i raise it to 2000 total, the BB calls which put in all in, and the button folded. the BB had pocket 3s and hit his set to win. They host hold em tournaments in toronto, is various bars. Mostly Chalkers sun and tues nites. 10 dollar buy in.

UPDATE: Im down to my last 10 bucks. i faced some really bat beats. since the last post i lost with kings 4 more times, 3 ace kings and i couldnt hit a flop. It was crazy. Im playing in a 5 SNG hopefully my luck will change. it sucks but i guess it happens, it just sucks when ur kings are cracked after u go all in and a guy was chasing his flush.

UPDATE: played for 2 hrs, and im down 8 dollars, i was up 20, but i had my pocket kings cracked twice on the river, and aces cracked on the turn. Im having fun and learning to pay more attention but losing those three pots really hurt.

Tnx for the advice. I think for now ill grind it out at .5 .10 NL to gain experience.

just to update u guys, in half an hr of playing .5/.10 NL on party im up 10 bucks. i tried multi tabling buts its too confusing for me at the moment.

I read doyles book but its too aggressive for my liking, and i read hellmuth's book which was alittle too tight. im currently reading harrington on hold em V1 which is a good mix more on the conservative side, but it deals more with tournemtn play. anyways thanks for the advice, and im off to play lol

i have a job, its a part time job, so i dont make alot. With costs for school, books, etc. i dont necessarily have alot to spend. I deposited 50 bucks and i just wanna have some fun, gain experience while building my bankroll. I have played poker before for money, but never online. Ive played a few tournaments done pretty well, turned up a profit, but i havent played in much cash games. I tried playing once at casino niagara (i live in toronto) but i was in experienced and did not do to well. And i am a broke student. so i need this 50 to last. if i play micro limit cash games, what would be considered a productive day. i just dont know what to aim for, should i play until i double my buy in? im not too sure as what i can expect, but im going to give it a shot
