I played there all summer and did pretty well, very loose games. The game I played was spread limit 1-1-2. In this game you could buy in from like 60-200$ and blinds were 1-1-2, but it was 4$ to play a hand (very unusual). The game basically played like a no limit game except for the most you could bet was 200$ at a time, but then you could raise another 200$ and so on. They also had a larger game I think it was 2-2-5 spread limit, with no max buyin but still can only bet max 200$. hope that helps

"In any case, I made a bad play. I mean, this guy was going to give me all of his chips sooner or later, probably over two or three pots, and why make a move on a crazy player? Patience, patience, patience, and he would have found himself staring down the barrel of the big PH rifle." hah!

Dealt Kk 1st Hand At New Table
hoeferm replied to hoeferm's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Ok, so after thinking for a bit I did push all in (rather hesitantly) and bb called with 107o and a flopped straight. Obviously this isn't the worst flop ever for KK, but I'm pretty surprised that with four callers and a bet up front very few people seemed worried that they were beat in this situation. I really like the bb leading out in this situation with the flopped straight as there are 4 people to act behind him and his move can be viewed as a steal, betting on the come (i.e. with a 10 is opened ended), has a jack, or has a really good hand. If instead the bb had checkraised on the flop I -
Scenario: You just sit down at a full live 2-4NL cash game with buyin of 200$ and are dealt KhKd in early position (2 away from the bb). You raise to 20$ and several people at the table give you "who the hell does this guy think he is" look and you get three immediate callers (each with between 250-300$). Finally, it reaches the BB and he asks who raised and you announce that it was in fact you who had raised. He gives you a look and then calls (he has about 600$). Flop comes J98 rainbow and big blind quickly fires out 40$ so the pot is now about 140$. You are next to act and you have 180$ in

I actually messed up the order and was last to act in this hand. So once the action was to me I pushed all in hoping to get them both to fold (pretty unlikely due to size of pot and I only had 100$ over original reraiser) or both to call so I could crazy good odds on my draw. Alas, only one player called and took down the pot with Q10o when my draw didn't come. I know mathematically I was getting pretty good odds (186$ to win 286$ with 1 caller and 426$ with two callers) and ended up as a 52% favorite against the Q10o. Against more likely callers (i.e. not morons with Q10o) like an overpair I

OK, I was playing a fairly loose 2-4NL cash game last night with a buyin from 100-200$. I have been at the table for twenty minutes, I have 194$, and no real reads on anyone.Action:1. I am in midposition and two people limp in front of me (4$ each) and I call with 8c9c2. Player behind me raises to 16$ (has about 400$)3. The two limpers call (each with a little over 200$) and I call 16$ bet: pot is now 64$4. Flop comes Qh6c7c and I flop the top half of a straightflush draw5. Everybody checks to the raiser in last position and he bets 40$, 1st limper folds, and second limper raises to 80$, there

Just kidding...But did anyone see that monte carlo millions final table where ivey was heads up with some euro with like 4.6milllions against euro's 800,000. Ivey had Q8 of hearts and euro had 56 off and flop came JJ7.Ivey put out feeler bet for 80k, euro reraised with nothing to like 175k, and Ivey reraised to 300k also with nothing, euro raised again to 470k, and Ivey put him all in for his final 360k (all numbers are approximated) with absolutely nothing!!!!Easily one of the ballsiest moves I've seen on TV, I almost had a seizure
