  1. It allows me to use the check boxes to choose my action but if I haven't checked a box and it is my turn to act the buttons dissapear and I time-out.Anyone else have this problem or know what to do?
  2. I deffinately see the merit in the check/call on the river and will play the same situation that way if it comes around again. He had KQos and obviously called.
  3. Definately %100 he bets if I check. That is why I did not want to check because I did not want to talk myself into folding the best hand. Is this backwards thinking? I make a bet that only gets called if I am a HUGE underdog because I don't want to loose the pot to a worse hand by folding or a river suck-out. So the line you suggest is that check/calling is better than all-in because of the chance of getting Villans stack in the pot when I am winning is greatly increased. Are we resigning to the fact that I am seeing show-down no matter what? C/F is not an option?
  4. $1-$2 NLHE 8-HandedHero: $89Villan: $90Villan loves to raise in position at this loose passive table. Recently called down for his whole stack continually betting his 7 high flush draw on each street[it didn't hit]. He bought back in. I know him better that any other at the table and have played a good 20 hours against him in the last two months. He is trying to play TAG but can't resist the "any two card" urge every once in a while(becoming more rare). I have never seen him show a weak Ace(A2-AT)If he is in a pot, he is in position and was the preflop raiser( > %80).Pre Flop:Hero(SB):
  5. So the fact that he was raising into 5 players is a sign of strength? Makes sense.I called as I was thinking more along the lines of NoSup4U.He had KK.
  6. $0.15-$0.30 NLHE 9-Handed Ring-Game[NOT A TOURNAMENT]Table is extremely loose/passiveHero: $3.50Villan: $1.95Hero in SB dealt: J T Pre-Flop:4 limpers, Hero completes, Villan(BB) raises $1.95(All-In), 4 folds, Hero...???Pot:$3.45 facing $1.65...just over 2 to 1 right?I put his range as AA-22, Ax, KQ. Oh and don't ask about the small stack sizes, the game is wierd and hard to explain. I just want to know if based on the range I put him on, should I call this?
  7. Makes sense. What I actually did was check-raise all-in on the turn after much thought.He then thought for a long time and called.I asked him "do you have a spade?"He said no.Villan: J 8 River($36.80): K Board: T 8 6 A K I win with 7 high flush
  8. $0.10BB NLHE home game. Everyone has gone home except myself and villan(actually a good friend)Villan: $18.70Hero: $18.40I had clawed up to even from starting heads up down ~$25 to ~$10. I had done this by playing tight aggressive preflop and folding in the SB a few times when he would groan with obviously a good hand. I would re-raise his PF raise when ever I thought he had no ace/pair and this had been working. My continuation bets were aggrivating him and he would show down 4th pair to my TP/TK. I would say he was playing loose aggressive but turned a bit passive when I bet post flop.D
  9. One thing I was thinking was at my home game we get 100 chips. All chips are 1 except greens are 10. With multiple small chips(40 to start) and the "knowledge" that as the evening goes on I will have more chips what if I subtley made stacks with different chips representing different actions.eg. Say in a particular orbit I go preflop:Button: foldCO: raiseMP+2: foldMP+1: callMP: foldUTG+1: foldUTG: foldBB: foldSB: callthen I could have a nine chip stack with the bottom chip white(w) and the following chips, red® w blue(B) w w w w and the top chip blue for a stack ofbwwwwbwrwso out of nine I
  10. OP: good question. I have wondered the same. nomad_monad: good post. This really clears things up for me.
  11. now that you mention it I think you are totaly right. With my friends, keeping stats would be -EV
  12. Has anyone heard of players keeping stats at a home game?Which stats would you recomend keeping? How would you record these stats?Would the usefull information gained be worth the effort?
