  1. I was just sitting here thinking, what do other people look for when choosing a game? For ex: I usually play $100NL short handed. If I see a table with one seat open, and everyone has $50 (half of the full buy-in) then I prefer to sit at these tables. They either play way too tight, or way too loose for the most part. Lots of players to the flop, high pot sizes, and recognizing easy players are all other factors. Is there anything you guys look for specifically?
the search function works wonders.... other than that...A high percentage of players to the flop and the largest pots.
  2. Well I have an urge to get into Johnny Cash, so let see some lists of his all time best tracks so I can get started.
I would try maybe anything off of the greatist hits CD...just a hunch, or maybe Amazon.com and not a poker forum.
  3. I am in the same boat as you...I have been out of school for 2 years, I am 24 and work in an accounting firm, I hate it. I decided not too long ago that it really isnt all about the money..except when it comes to poker...so I am going back to school to get "qualified" to do what I love, which is make/record/produce music...I suggest that if you really don't like it truely pursue what you love and are interested in...you only have so much time here, might as well make the best of it.

  4. Hachem isn't a full time pro, or at least he wasn't before he won the ME. The fact that he lives an 18-hour plane ride away from the US means he doesn't tour the circuit as much as some of the others as well. The last thing I know he participated in was Poker Superstars, but I think all of that was filmed in a fairly short amount of time. I like Hachem, but I'm much more impressed by Raymer's abilities. He's an extremely solid player.
Me too...I think Hachem showed some talent at the table, but Raymer is a damn solid player
  5. I can't believe noone has mentioned a "Bar Tender's Armpit"Ingredients:the dishtowel he uses to wipe all the spilled liquor and beer with.Preparation: Wipe the bar down, squeeze contents into shot glass. :club:

  6. Party Poker.Softest LHE games, IMO.Biggest pool of fish. More tables, etc.- Zach
That's what I figured the general consensus would be... I actually moved from party to FT to take advantage of that 100% deposit bonus...I guess I will just go back! So as for the other sites...Pokerroom, UB, Stars, Bodog? No good?
  7. Didn't want to start a new topic but I did so we could get some more clarity on the overall selection for great LHE games.Right now I play exclusively on FT 2-4 - 5-10 LHE and after reading alot of the reviews of FT I agree that it is probably not a very good site for soft LHE games, I always sit in line, 40% of the time I am probably playing with the same people. So I was hoping I could get some others opinions on other sites that they have played on for awhile. Especially for LHE...Thanks!

  8. Saying they play like 0.5/1 online players gives them far too much credit.I played $1/$2 Limit live once. Once...
Me too...I was in a dog racing park in some hick town in Florida called Ebro...my god...I nearly shot myself after a couple of rounds...it was more comical to me than anything though..
  9. Did you say 4/8 live plays like 3/6 online? :club: Find a new B and M. 4/8 live should play like .05/.10 online.- Zach
no...lol...I think you read it wrong, I said that 4-8 live is horrible compared to the 3-6 I see online...so yeah, it plays more like .50-1.00....ridicudonks there.
