  1. He clearly is a good player but it is very early in his career. Even in this tournament there is a long way to go. I don't think you can come close to comparing Justin's run to that of Jeff Madsen's WSOP run. But it will be interesting to see how he goes through 2007.
  2. Man I enjoy DNs posts when he is talking like this (ie passionate about poker). Although he didn't lose me, for a few months there when it seemed to be more about golf than poker I was losing some interest.
  3. Idiot post. He is talking about working out to get physically fit...nothing to do with physique. For me, getting and keeping fit is one of the most important aspects of my life. When I am fit, I feel so much better, can think better, sleep less and enjoy life a lot more.
  4. No..the level 2 hand going all in on a flush draw did it for me!
  5. From the first 5 minutes to the end, season 5 is the best series of what is my favourite TV show of all.
  6. I agree. Avoid the programs, however the video files are fine.
  7. Thanks for the details Daniel. Just out of interest, where does the Professional Poker League fit into all of this?
  8. I agree. And he has had some recent success in 45 player Sngs which has boosted his overall ROI. However, to be +ve at all levels is a good indication that he is someone I would rather avoid! I would rather play ROI -45% players, who seem to be numerous.
  9. Very impressive stats!I agree with you on the multitabling. I play max 2 tables at a time. Beyond that and I have difficulty learning about my opponents and how they play, which I think is extremely important in increasing ROI%. You play too many tables and you reach a point where you are only playing based on your cards and not your opponents. Btw, my ROI is ~50% having played about 50 5$ sngs (stevel999 on sharkscope PS). Only a small sample I know and still a long way off knowing whether I can sustain it.Cheers
  10. I cannot work Tony G out. I do think there are times when he does go over the top. But to his credit, he seems to always take bad beats very well. That is, he is a much better loser than winner.
  11. http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...0&p=1607742Complete with response from DN
  12. I have seen this and quite enjoyed it. But I didn't think Men quite fitted into this category!
  13. I bought Sennheiser noise cancelling headphones. Work very well and much cheaper.
  14. I will be looking forward to see how he performs in 2007, but he does need to take some of his recent winnings and buy a dose of modesty.
  15. This is a lot tougher. I consider all of these players to be good.
  16. I don't think Daniel did a bad job at all. Having not had an opinion about Phil Gordon only because I didn't have anything to go on, I can now say my opinion is very low. What a horrible host! I don't think he was joking about the 'not being my friend' thing at all. He started and finished the interview about this, and it was nothing but a passing comment in a blog which had no intention whatsoever. What a self-absorbed git.
  17. It is real. Here is the link for last years event:http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=16825Winner takes all. Second place is bubble....!
  18. I am still new to this forum, but I have to say that this is by far the best thread I have read here. Where else can you get indepth analysis of the final table of a major tournament and then get regular feedback from the Pro who just finished 3rd?
  19. Couldn't agree more. But while I am here, what about Lacey Jones?http://www.bankrollboost.com/lacey-jones.php
  20. Wow..the updates here are quicker than the updates I am getting at cardplayer.com
  21. Well, all the best tomorrow Daniel. I will be going for you tomorrow, followed by my compatriot Joe. Take it down!
  22. http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=181Just looked at DNs results on this link...had forgotten how sick a year 2004 was. Also I didn't realise that he won this event precisely 2 years ago.
