So does this mean the PokerStars rumour is bogus?
-
Not only has he not made a post recently, he has not even logged in the last week. Feels like the eye of storm. All so calm, waiting for the big announcement. When will it come?
-
Umm, again, DN's blog was written before the last day's play. He was referring to the session on the second day when the blinds were the standard 300/600.

David Benyamine Up $3 Million So Far In 2007
stevel999 replied to Craigdog's topic in General Poker Forum
Interesting to see who tops the NL Holdem losers on FullTilt for April!http://www.highstakesdb.com/poker-results/...&GameType=2Guess his opponents must have lied about how good they were. -
Since November 2006, DN succeeded in getting the record for most consecutive WPT cashes and has won over $1 million. Not bad for someone who apparently keeps imploding in tournaments.

Couldn't agree more. I had formed this opinion already, but he always comes up with something else to make me dislike him more. Anyone seen this clip? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrmX1pd7IhEAt the end he makes comments about how he likes to play female poker players with low-cut shirts.

Paul Wasicka - Is He Really That Good Or Just Lucky?
stevel999 replied to trohsc's topic in General Poker Forum
Absolutely agree. By the end of the last episode of HSP, he was playing very loose. Of course it helped that he hit the cards but I thought he was very impressive. Now he has won almost $1 million in the last week. -
Not So Much Racist As Painfully Unfunny.
stevel999 replied to BigDMcGee's topic in Politics, Economics and News
The skit was funny, it was not racist, and it is very clear that people waste way too much energy on being overly sensitive with PC. -
I was wondering whether he was doing this with the end of the world, wer are going to die, sell my cars, climate change blog.

For me, reading this blog was like calling a big raise when you know you are beaten. It would be a physical impossibility for Eric to put on that much weight, not to mention that he doen't appear to be the type of guy who would make that type of bet (maybe Ted Forrest). I have watched JJ on FullTilt in the last couple of days and he has done well. Ivey wouldnt have a chance against Tiger. I knew the Jamie Gold thing was settled. YET, I still believed it all until the last sentence. Remind me never to play poker with you DN.

Is Daniel Really That Easily Influenced
stevel999 replied to Jam-Fly's topic in Politics, Economics and News
I am afraid I have to agree with the OP's sentiment on this. Whilst I admire the passion that you have for certain issues, Daniel, it does appear as though you have been sucked in deep in this one. Whilst the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change meeting in Paris released much stronger language than ever before, the role of human intervention in global warming is still a controversial one. Comments such as "but it seems pretty clear that at the current rate, if no changes are made to the amount of CO2 we pump into the air each day, this Earth can't survive another 50 years.", but es -
W.p.t Tunica Final Table - Discussion/update Thread
stevel999 replied to xmykro's topic in General Poker Forum
Take it down Daniel. Can't wait to see this final table when it is televised. -
Did I miss something? : "Just before the whistle blew, Erik Seidel made a run for the door with David “Devilfish” Ulliott on his heels. Don Mullis chipped up when his pocket kings held up against an opponent’s “big slick,” and Daniel Negreanu (in the 1 seat) was blindsided by an opponent (in the 9 seat) who took put a dent in Negreanu’s stack."This is in the report on day 2 on cardplayer.com, but there chip count still has Daniel at 16th with $120, 700. Anyone know what happened?

Does anyone elso get forwarded onto a weird porn site when they go to thepokerbay now? Looks like they have been hacked.

Gus Hansen is the winner!!!! $1.5 million. Congratulations Gus. Btw, did any of you see the realtime reporting on pokernews.com. You could watch the hands virtually live as they were played. Very nice. Gus hit AA just at the time that Jimmy went all in with an open ended straight, which did not hit.

I think this particular blog entry by Daniel has markedly upped the level of this blog, which was already well above anything that is out there in the poker world. The 'opening the soul' aspect of his entries is the reason I keep reading.

Entirely agree. You cannot underestimate the effects of the long travel and change in timezones that the Eastern USA to Eastern Australia journey has on your body and mind. Having done a trip from Sydney to Florida and return in the space of 7 days recently (I am 37), I can say that it had a much greated negative impact on me than I expected. So when Daniel says "was a little groggy for some reason and didn't feel like I was all there coming into the Aussie Millions event", I am sure that is the reason. Either that or he was hungover!

High Stakes Poker: Season 3 Starts Jan. 15th
stevel999 replied to djnumb's topic in General Poker Forum
HSP, 24, Poker After Dark, Lost. Having not watched much on the box in 2006, 2007 looks the year of the potato couch for me. -
Welcome back to Australia Daniel. I am in Sydney and won't be able to make it down this year, but will be going for you and my Aussie boy Hachem.
