  1. I've never heard of any "all in" rules in a limit game, and the casino we were at still has a raising cap, even when it's heads up. The guy was obviously trying to shove his chips in because that's what he has seen on TV far too many times. That is what made the situation so funny. For all the people who were asking what happened next, our Hero was still confused as to what he could do, so after careful explination of his options, he made the raise to $16 and the BB called. He proudly turned over Aces Up, and the BB mucked. I recieved this information second hand, as I was making a mad dash to
  2. A few weeks ago I was at my local B&M, sitting in the 4/8 game while waiting for the NL game to open.A gentleman who looked to be in his early 40's takes the empty seat next to me, and puts his rack on the table, which only contains $40. He then pulls out a pair of mirrored Oakley sunglasses (yes...Moneymaker style) and puts them on. Then comes the headphones, which are not attatched your average, everyday iPod, but to some sweet CD Walkman. Just for good measure, the hood from his sweatshirt comes up onto his head, and he is definitely ready for this high stakes 4/8 action. Now this is not
  3. "Most poker players know to watch out for card counters, bottom dealers and deck stacking." I love it when the first line of a news story completely ruins the writer's credibility.
  4. Thats what I thought at first, but even after Hansen left, he continued to do it.
  5. I really have no idea. I was wondering the same thing. He did countless times, one right after another.
  6. Buying in for $100 in a $200/$400 PL game just makes no sense. I don't care what the circumstances are. I've sat here and watched him blow through at least $5k. And now he's buying for $1k at a time.
  7. I logged on to Full Tilt and noticed Gus Hansen and Mark Vos sitting heads up in a $200/$400 PLO table. I open up the table to watch, and Vos is just continuously buying in for $100 and moving in until he busts it, then rebuying for $100 again. The highest I've seen him get is around $900. It started with him and Hansen heads up, and now it's Vos, Bloch, and Qwert987. People in the chat say he's been doing this for over and hour. What's he trying to accomplish?
  8. I was definitely expecting some sort of witty pottery-based comment.I am disappointed.
  9. There is no read on the Villian. It was the first hand of the night, and I had never played with him before.I did indeed shove, and he turned over Ac4c for a flopped wheel.I just don't see how I can put him on A4 when he cold calls a $40 SB raise with two people to act behind him.Oh well, just didnt turn out to be a good night overall.
  10. $5/$5 NL game at local B&M. In this game, the blinds are $5/$5, but it is $10 to bring it in, and can be opened for $15 minimum.Full table. FIRST hand of the night. Average buy in is $300.Hero is in BB ($300). UTG, MP and SB all limp. $35 pot.Hero is dealt Qh Qd. Raise to $40. Only UTG ($300) calls.Flop: 2 3 5, two spades.Hero bets $70. Villian min. raises to $140.What's our next move?
  11. A question for the OP:Isn't your avatar the painting from Goodfellas?
  12. My favorite quote of the interview:"I did some goofy things, and right now I'm just working on myself, and taking everything inward."Skalansky is definitely getting a little more than penis-on-the-back action.
  13. What's crazy is that the WWE is playing a 3 hour long tribute show for him tonight.I was as big of a Chris Benoit fan as anyone, but this is going to look horrible for the WWE if what they are saying about the deaths is true.
  14. If you have a link, that would be wonderful.I couldn't find it for some reason.
  15. I searched to see if anyone had posted about this, but couldn't find anything.I'm watching the World Series of Golf on NBC right now. Phil Ivey and Rhett Butler are on this episode, and they said that Blair Rodman had been previously eliminated. This may be old news, but this is the first time I've seen it. Has anyone else been watching this?
  16. I'm not going to lie. The movie looks terrible. But then again, so did "Lucky You".Of course I went to see it anyway, which will probably be the case with this one.Why do I do it to myself?
  17. I am definitely curious. You would think there would be an update by now?
