  1. Not gonna happen. You would need 1200 players @ $10 each to pay for one seat w/travel without any money added by site. FCP just doesn't have that kind of flow yet. I wish it did though, I miss it!!
  2. Then the blame is on the players association for not having the "negotiated solid package" that they claim they have for the job decription you just described. Today's players should be adressing this issue due to the fact there is a good chance they will be facing the same issues themselves years down the road. This arguement has nothing to do with feeling bad for them. No one likes to see anyone suffer, but it has to do with facts and contracts.
  3. http://www.nflpa.org/RulesAndRegs/PlayerBenefits.aspxI have read this and no where can I see where a non-active player is to receive anything for a disability that occurs years after play (12 or more years), even though the diability may stem from active play. Maybe I have over-looked it. Hey, if I smoke, I quit and 20 years later I can hardly move without oxygen and can't work. Can I hold the tobacco companies responsible? I think not, even though cases may be successful in court. I think cases like this are unreasonable. Anything that is obviously destructive to the human body, how could you

  5. the best advice is to read books and implement it on the internet.
  6. DN is in here all the time. The poker room has hit a major speed bump but not the forum. As for the relationship with FCP poker, it is my belief that it is more personal rather than business. I would think that anyone who had a major holding in an internet gaming site that resided in the United States would be playing poker for cigarettes in the Fed Penn. Go check out Fossilman's site, he hasn't done anything with it since 2005. Last year, I was playing FCP everynight and the major reason I preferred that room was because of customer service. Bob rocks!! You didn't have to email or call
  7. yeah, I had always heard that they float between the red and black. I never thought they made a ton of cash. Here is another question, why would they put 2 WPT touneys so close together so that one has to rent a jet to get to the next? Granted, a jet was absolutely needed but it seemed like it was pretty close to it.
  8. Its not a complaint by viewers, but rather in response to DN's comments in his blog. It is a question of whether or not it is poker or luck when the blind structure is so intense at the final table of a WPT event.
  9. I do not know enough about the commercial aspect of this. I want to see good poker and not an all in fest. When you have entertaining players like Kido, I would want to see a lot more of his creativity played out. This years WSOP final table was long and ends up on the cutting room floor reducing it to highlights of a series of Gold's monster hands. Why can't the blind structure of the WPT be more reasonable and maybe final tables be shown over 2 weeks on television. I think this would create an even higher interest in the programming. What is the point of having X amount of weeks televi
  10. Strong, Confident and Patient. It seems Daniel will prevail. Cardplayer carries such excellent coverage, I couldn't hit refresh enough last night for the chip and hand updates. One side feeling I have though is that if it cannot be Daniel, may it be Kido. What a story this guy has. 20% donated back home to the poor, has a child with autism with hopes of starting his own charity. These are the stories I like to hear and not the ones like Greedy F#%K Gold who ends up in a law battle over a promise. May he lose all his cash on HSP. BoDog got smart and dropped his arrogant ***. I was che
  11. absurd!! my kids have wireless in their tree house. what a joke, so bad that you have the tournament director send out a sandwich order for you. sounds like the tour needs to find a new location.
  12. I would say yes he can either call at that point or leave the money in the pot.
  13. Are you the proprietor of the bar? Or just a patron? Either way I wish you luck. If you are the proprietor, how does the Liquor Control Commission feel about this. I would assume that that would be the biggest threat of the establishment losing their liquor license. In any case, next time, have a free Texas hold-em tournament and donate the prize fund under the amount allowed by law (most places around $500). The hold-em tournament will be free with the purchase of a $15.00 snack buffet (wings, tacos, etc.) that you lay out for your guests. This way you are collecting a fair retail price
  14. Heads up who cares who shows who what. Makes no sense, like it was stated, the opposition can look away. It worked in your favor against the doc in the heads up tourney. Congrats on the record!!
  15. Ok, I am not agreeing or disagreeing with your reply. In fact, everything I wrote was my own approach on life and not meant to debate you. Where one finds their comfort zone is totally up to them. This is my point. You seem like a good person with an excellent upbringing. You are popular because of your unique personality and talent in your field. You seem to be genuine, take time with and care for others. My suggestion was maybe you already know where your problem lyes. You mentioned that you missed your family and to me that is a key thought. Between books, blogs, travel, tournamen
  16. This is the first time I have ever noticed a mention of your wife and family in your blog in the sense that you mentioned them today. It is my belief that your relationship with God be your top priority in life but rather your family. Neither my wife nor I are church goers, but our life together is golden. We own a business together and we are together most of every day. We both pride ourselves in our work life and strive to do the best we can, but we have limits. The limits are there to protect our family life. Our business is very successful! Could it be better? Yes, most definitely,
  17. I bought several signed copies as stocking stuffers. Inexpensive enough to even leave at every seat at your next home game. This book is not a bible. It is basically common knowledge that can be easily forgotten when under final table pressure. I find this book to be an excellent post game reference. Every time I am put out of a game, the reason that did it haunts me and sometimes I am not sure if I made the correct decision or not. I immediately grab that book, look in the table of contents and there lies the answer. Each chapter is only 2-3 pages in length and is concise and to the po

  19. I am suprised spell check didn't pick this up but...In his most recent poker journal Daniel wrote, "We all know that Bill Frist doesn't like poker right? "3 weeks ago he vowed from here on out that Frist will be known as "The Weasel".So please post the correct sentence : "We all know that the Weasel doesn't like poker right? "
  20. I agree I mis-read the question... are you yelling at me....relax dude, chill out, it was a simple mistake. You can tell by my answer I am answering a question that I mis-read. The sarcism in these forums is incredible.
  21. Ok maybe I am not understanding the question...I have visibly seen his cards before making the call? OK then, I would call 100% of the time, if this is the case.
  22. It was not Phil Ivey or Gus Hansen putting you all in. You just sit down and know jack about everybody except the 2 you see on tv. What kind of knowledge have you picked up from the table. On the very first hand I would need a solid BIG pair to call an all-in. For all you know, the guy putting you all in is so tight he only plays aces and the rest of the table would gain that knowledge from your stupidity. In my opinion, this is not the time you would want to get all you chips in the middle.
  23. If his reason was bizarre for going all in, then I would be even more bizarre for calling with Ace high!! Simple as that.
  24. Negreanu = The Amazing Kreskin!! It is just spooky. Almost like there is a pocket cam in his head. What better entertainment for the feature table than someone who can tell what someone else is holding. He did the same thing as well on GSN's HSP the other night, but unfortunately he paid everyone off to find that his instincts were correct. The following weeks previews looks like it gets even worse. When mild mannered DN shows frustration, it must be bad.
  25. This is the supposed final season of HBO's Soprano's, even though seasons run with 1-2 year gaps. How can that be? This show makes way too much money for that to happen. I am still not convinced that David Chase or HBO will let this series die, especially with movie potentials. For a long time I have thought that the combination of the Soprano's and poker would be perfect. This story line provides endless opportunities for a writer to combine organized crime and gambling. I believe that a movie with this content combined with the Soprano's and the talents of today's poker world would fa
