  1. So just shove? I'm a MTT donk, especially late in tourney.
IMO, yes. It would have sucked that you ran into Kings there but you just allow the chip leaders in this tourney to see a cheap flop for them. You had less than 8 BB's, 10s is either a shove, or a fold from that position if you really want to play like a rock.Like I said, just my opinion.
  2. I hate bad beat stories..... I hate making new threads, but I need to share this. I realize I overplayed my hands alot, but the outcomes are crazy. 3. Although Z looks the worst in this situation, the people who stood up for him and ridiculed us who began crying foul should be embarassed too. Would it even pay to contact Stars about this? Obviously all the money went there. Or like someone else said, does FCP Info have any "ins" at Stars to investigate this. The worst part about this is that I doubt I will ship money going forward for tourney's or LL's or anything anymore. Anyone here can say other people are trustworthy but evidently, we can't trust that anymore.

  4. Okay I figured since I had a good day I should pass on my luck to some of yall. I am offering two stakes to PCA-Step 1 tournies. Okay here are the rules. 1. No Stakeback required. 2. You must have 300 post3. You must have cashed in a previous stake paste link.3. If you make it to Step 6 you will do Step 6A. 4. 50-50 on whatever you win in Step 6A or if you make it to the PCA 25% of you in that tourney. 5. You Must send me a message via AIM that says what tournament you are playing in each time or post in this thread before the tourney starts and your results of that tourney. So leave ur AIM and I will contact you.
I'm sure that everyone appreciates your generousity but let me get this straight. You're willing to spend $7 on someone and you expect them to give you a 25% piece in a multi million dollar tourney. I understand it's a long shot but that is quite the request.
  5. When he surfaces on IRC again we will be sure to direct him to this thread. I am sure there is no 'scam' or anything involved here - so just try to be patient. He has been holding money for many months trying to get this thing going - now that it isn't gonna work out, you can't expect the money back instantly either.
I think we are past the point of "instant return". He hasn't posted here in a month. There are so many people who get upset when we question if we're going to get our money back. A person that posted daily, who is "holding" our money, has suddenly disappeared for a month. I don't think our doubts should be questioned. If you look on thepokerdb.com, zsta2k6 cashed in a tournament on October 1st. Unless this is some sort of coincidence of a name, he evidently is around. If some serious issue has happened, I will be the first to say that it's no big deal. Something smells pretty bad though...
  6. This paragraph gave me an LOL:"This tournament is a crapshoot, however, I believe there is alot of skill in this tournament. It is not the same skill as a deepstack tourney or a satellite, it's a game of it's own. It's all about finding spots that are favorable. I made huge folds at times to end up with a good situation with people that needed to move in on the blinds. I'm 4 for 4 on cashing in this tourney so I'm not ready to say that's all luck and a crapshoot."You say it's a crapshoot, then there is a lot of skill, then that you're not ready to say it's all luck and a crapshoot. teh LOL.
What I'm saying is there is alot of luck involved in these tourneys, however, there are ways to lower the "crapshoot factor" in certain situations. If you play in this tourney, know the structure, and then complain that it's a crapshoot, that gets you no where. Take advantage of situations whenever possible.
  7. Alright, I'm back from the bar after that beat/situation.First of all, thanks to all of you who railed, especially Cappy and Kevin who were with me for a LONG time. In a tournament like this, it helps alot. The situation was completely sick. Why support could not have paused the tourney is beyond me. In addition, for Support to not be at this tourney's final table is beyond me. It's a weekly tourney that they feature for all players, run satellites for, and therefore, make a ton of money on. I think they should be able to be there without an e-mail. The fact that this AA<KK beat happened during this chop debacle was actually good luck for me that I ended up with that situation, however.... it didn't work out, obv.As for not chopping with 8 people left, to a point, I agree with you, however, I'm still ok with my decision to ask for it. The advantage of a chop is to try to take out the hand variance that will take place during a period that the difference in payouts is huge. For me, the difference from $1200 to $19,000 is huge. We had battled 8 handed for about a half out with the blinds at a massive scale. I had just come off being the short stack to be in the middle of the pack. After looking at each players previous results, I noticed that no matter what happened, this would be there largest cash. I felt that I would rather take $5,500 - $6, 500 than take wild chance with huge blinds to get extremely unlucky (which is exactly what happened)This tournament is a crapshoot, however, I believe there is alot of skill in this tournament. It is not the same skill as a deepstack tourney or a satellite, it's a game of it's own. It's all about finding spots that are favorable. I made huge folds at times to end up with a good situation with people that needed to move in on the blinds. I'm 4 for 4 on cashing in this tourney so I'm not ready to say that's all luck and a crapshoot. One more comment, xxEddie, thanks again for showing your true colors with just rude comments to me after my aces were cracked. For those of you that don't know, Eddie and I have a history from the FCP Nightly tourney. He has acted like an immature 12 year old (if you can imagine that) on multiple occasions and I'm glad that you chose to do that again tonight. I'm a big believer in Karma and you have done nothing in my eyes to deserve anything. Good luck to you in life. Thanks again everyone and I wish I could have taken it down for everyone.
