build and do this:http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...ne=true&s=xinstall snow leopard, win7, and some form of linux, and then use whichever you want for whatever you want.as a matter of personal opinion:i use windows for poker.i prefer (but cannot use--stolen macbook ) the mac os for web browsing, email, and chatting (adium is omg awesome for all IM clients).i use kubuntu for anything that requires security (and also email, currently, but i'd prefer to use a mac for that).

gotcha, ty. can you give an example of a set of numbers with a non-1 cardinality? would this only mean anything with respect to a comparison with a cardinality 1 infinite set?
-
dear LLY,i just read over the last couple pages, and i has a question.furthering the relative size of infinities question, is there any way of quantifying the cardinalities of various infinite sets? for instance, you said that convention holds the cardinality of the set of natural numbers to be 1. can i assume that the cardinality of the set of integers is 2, then? what about real numbers? irrational numbers? etc.?and just to make sure that i'm understanding this correctly so far...if i have a set of natural numbers {1,2,3,....}and a set of square numbers {1,4,9,....}these both have a cardinal

i just bought a used 1998 mazda mpv 4x4 suv/minivan thing for the harsh winters on gravel roads (way) up north.i'm pleased with the purchase--it has a 3l v6, roof rack, 208k km, no rust, full (basically non-existent) maintenance records, etc., and seems to get decent mileage so far for something so ginormous (about 20mpg hwy), and i talked a dealer down to just over book value. it runs quiet and smooth, has basically new off road tires, and everything under the hood is clean to boot.i have a couple questions, though:i can't really find too many good reviews of this thing online. how long shoul

BG is right. i was busy with wcoop and then i was out of town all weekend. i'll respond to most of your points directly sometime soon, but for now, i should say that i still don't think that you're addressing the main point of krugman's article, which isn't that humans are always rational, but rather that most free-marketeers are forced, eventually, to make the assumption that markets act rationally, and that market downswings must thus be seen as either desirable or in his words, "rational." you're pigeonholing him when you say that he's mistaking short-term events for long-term ones, too. hi

i probably raise/call the river at those stakes. raising the turn isn't bad, though, by any means.

the hp laptops that have altec lansing speakers (they may only be in the 17"+s, i'm not sure) have pretty good sound for a laptop. a lot of those go on ubid.com as refurbs--i got a 2GHz 17" HP on there with pretty good-sounding AL speakers for 600 a year ago, when the laptop was going for over 1k new. if you're new to ubid, basically only bid on things that have multiple bids already, bc some of their stuff is crap, but it won't get any bids. alternatively, they probably make wireless speakers these days that would work just fine in a small place from anywhere.as to the hd, have you thought ab

i love that you guys are still both insisting that you don't need to read the article to know what it says, even though it would be plainly obvious to anyone in possession of a half-college education and a reading of the article that you're not addressing the primary thrust of what krugman is trying to say. like, love. it. you know, in the sense that it makes me want to give up on the american public completely.it's sadly hilarious to me that anti-intellectualism in america has gotten so horrific that (apparently) your average internet ideologue can't be bothered to read four. ****ing. pages.
