  1. Okay my raise wasn't that big pre-flop because I wanted action on the flop. Okay I thought my bet on the flop was big enough that he would possibly have some sort of pocket pair or maybe a drawAs I type this and re-evaluate at the same time that I look at this hand I didn't make a big enough bet on the turn but I got check raised. Was this enough information for me topossibly fold this hand here? Maybe I should have re-raised but I think that would have comitted me to calling the river so (imo) it's either push here or fold at this point.Thoughts?? Am I a Wussy if I decided to fold here?? My
  2. I call hoping for Jacks...if you kept track of his stats and you say he hasn't really played out of line then to call a 2 dollar raise on a .10/.25 nl game pre-flop I doubt he would make a call with 9's and lower. He has to have put you on pocket pair since not many people put in a 2 dollars pre-flop raise with Ak or(s). It's not uncommon based on the amount of your pre-flop raise for him to smooth call and get you comitted on the flop. I play at these stakes and a 2 dollar raise depending on how many limpers is a lot.He also wouldn't put all his chips in on a race based on the flop either. He
  3. That's the thing about it that made me question my fold...if you put the guy on QJ then it's a call on the river because it's a split pot. That's what had me thinking so much about the hand. If you look at the betting pattern it didn't look like he was betting a flush draw which hit on the river. But I can see him limping in SB with QJ and playing as if he hit the flush. So the only problem here is that I'm either even with villian or severly behind. I guess I should be fortunate the scare card hit on the river or else I would be paying him off.
  4. Thanks for the insight. I folded my hand here. I figured at that point why risk my entire stack on what could possibly be at best a split pot best case and worse case snapped off and have to reload. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't too weak of a fold on my part. It's just strange since if you had a monster or a strong hand like that why not value bet. In any case I snapped him off 2 hands later when he called my all-in flop with AK and I had AA. So patience paid off this time.
  5. Hey gang...been a-while since I've posted a hand. What do you think about this?? Totally threw me off. You call or fold the river?? Maybe I should have re-raised or gone all-in on the turn.Full Tilt PokerNo Limit Holdem Ring gameBlinds: $0.10/$0.259 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: $25UTG+1: $25.25MP1: $9.20MP2: $9.20MP3: $10.60CO: $35.10Button: $11.45SB: $27.65Hero: $25.25Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with 7 folds, SB calls, Hero checks.Flop: :D ($0.5, 2 players)SB bets $0.25, Hero raises to $0.75, SB calls.Turn: ($2, 2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $1.25, SB raises to $5.75, Hero calls
  6. You should be careful of the boat although the way he played it doesn't look like he has one. I call down here too with the feeling that it's a split pot. Would be surprised if he had a boat.
  7. I think a bankroll is any roll that you keep strictly for poker play and that can be any amount. Just cuz someone thinks 20 dollars is chump change doesn't change the fact that someone out there is grinding out a micro limit table. Now if someone had 20 dollars and jump on a 5/10 limit game hoping to double up I wouldn't consider that a bankroll.
  8. nice work...i'm almost to 170
  9. Ultimate bet gave me 25. I've been playing .10 cent black jack with lmao. Also played .10 nl poker. I tried to cash it out but it was a no go.
  10. Zach,In these stakes I agree too because I've seen them call raises with just overs hoping to hit. I was luckily enough to get a free showdown on the turn with him showing jj's. I should have bet out on the turn. There's really no such thing as blocker bet in these stakes. These guys don't understand that and don't think it works to well at these stakes.I don't normally check the turn after i check raise a flop. It's really inconsistent especially out of position. I was thinking about the hand too much and just ended up checking it.I like the responses. Its some good insight for future play
  11. I like what everyone's saying. The reason I choose not to raise pre-flop here is because I am utg and 10's isn't that great of a raising hand with more than half the table to play. I prefer to keep the pot small and call a raise with such hands hoping for a set or drawing hand. I mix it up once in a-while and will raise. As played though I probably should have led out on the turn or check/folded to a bet. I think my mistake here was I check raised for a reason which was to get information. I got the information I needed and probably should have let the hand go on the turn.I could lead out here
  12. Was this a proper move on the flop and turn??? I lost the hand but not because of the river card so I'm unsure if my play on the turn was correct. I know there are various ways to play this hand.I figure when I check and he bet the turn he had overcards of some sort. I wanted to lay down on the turn but I couldn't get myself to do it. Figure I might be playing too soft if I did.
  13. I think it was a good laydown and you didn't really have a choice. You probably should have bet on the flop 1.75-2.00 but your turn bet makes up for it. Villian's hand was a good enough to show that he wasn't scared with the Ace on the board.
  14. I'm been having trouble with these scenarios and I'd like advice on how what you guys normally do. I find myself not being as profitable in these scenarios and playing these hands incorrectly.I am multi-tabling so I don't really have a read on players. I think I run into too many overcards higher than mine in these situations.Do you lead out the turn or check fold to a bet.Full Tilt PokerNo Limit Holdem Ring gameBlinds: $0.10/$0.258 playersConverterStack sizes:Hero: $23.05UTG+1: $30.05MP1: $81.90MP2: $13.40CO: $14Button: $15.55SB: $24.60BB: $30.70Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is UTG with Hero c
  15. I agree if you are going to do any check raising it's gotta be on the flop. (imo) I think making this play on the turn is questionable. I prefer to lead out on the flop here 3-4 dollars. If he makes a move on me on the turn after I lead out I can either call or fold. With heavy draws such as those I like to take the pot down early. No need to slow play/check raise yourself into a disaster.
  16. I ended up pushing...the guy behind me thanked the other guy for pushing all-in as he had QQ and decided to fold pre-flop. Guy that pushed all-in had AK. thanks for the insight
  17. Do you pull a stop and go here or would you push all your chips in after MP1 move? There is someone still to act after me?Full Tilt PokerNo Limit Holdem Ring gameBlinds: $0.10/$0.259 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: $39.35UTG+1: $6.05MP1: $14.05MP2: $17.20Hero: $26.25CO: $35Button: $16.80SB: $48.80BB: $27.95Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP3 with 2 folds, MP1 raises to $0.75, MP2 folds, Hero raises to $2, CO calls, 3 folds, MP1 raises all-in $14.05,
  18. Totally agree that I shouldn't have slow played this but I wanted to gamble a little bit here. I like to limp with pocket pairs as opposed to raising only for set value. That's probably a preference to the type of players people areYah maybe I should have just put him all-in here.He had 10,10 so if I would have check raised the flop and could have probably put him all in on the turn or river.thx
  19. Okay i like to mix up my game and limp in early position with AK or AQ but this river move by villian confuses me. With the turn making a flush and him betting into me why make this move on the river? Why not value bet and get paid. Haven't seem him play enough hands to see if he is capable of making this bluff or not? I probably should have re-raised the turn here to see where I was at.Full Tilt PokerNo Limit Holdem Ring gameBlinds: $0.10/$0.259 playersConverterStack sizes:Hero: $31.20UTG+1: $8.40MP1: $19.50MP2: $22.85MP3: $10.45CO: $7.55Button: $30.45SB: $20.65BB: $28.40Pre-flop: (9 players
  20. I chose to play this passive although there was possible straights and flushes that could hit. On the river is this a good value bet here based on his stack or should I have just put him all-in and hope for a call? Also to be honest I wasn't quite sure where he was at although when I check raised the turn i figure if he had any hand he would be pushing.Full Tilt PokerNo Limit Holdem Ring gameBlinds: $0.10/$0.258 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: $12.05UTG+1: $20.60MP1: $4.40MP2: $31CO: $30.75Button: $24.10Hero: $22.95BB: $10Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is SB with 2 folds, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Her

  23. Hey thanks for pointing that out. I think if you have a read on your player that definitley that is the way to maximize your hand and would play that way.Let's say we make a pot size bet and he calls and a danger card comes on the river and he bets into us or goes all-in. Would you make the call here? The only reason I choose to push on the turn here is to avoid having to make that difficult decision on the river if a scared card does take place. If I'm beat then in reality it's the cards that beat me and not my play.I'd like to have my oppenent be the one making difficult decisions and not I,
  24. I probably would have called. Check folded the turn depending on what card hits. I hate pushing all-in with a draw especially the small action that took place pre-flop(imho) I don't think I would be disappointed here if I folded on the flop. But I would at least probably called the turn and take it from there.Oh yah and I think playing AJ makes a huge difference. If an Ace falls on the turn you may have kicker problems and it would be harder to get away from the hand.
  25. I don't see anything wrong with this play. I probably would have folded to the raise on the flop though. You turned Aces up on a 6 handed table. Only two things you have to worry about is a set or A10. Any drawing hands aren't made yet gonig into the river.
