I know I played this hand poorly, but I wanted to get people's opinions on whether it was mostly bad luck or if I really screwed the pooch here.Here's the situation:I was playing in a cash game ($10 buy in) with some friends, and everyone left except for me and my friend Gregg. Honestly, I don't think Gregg's a very good poker player. He has a lot of tells and he rarely varies his play.Anyhow, I get dealt J J in the small blind (.10) and smoothcall. Gregg raises to .75 and I call. The flop is A 2 3 . I bet $1, he raises to $2. At this point I think he has an ace but he'd been bluff

I'm a huge Philly fan, so maybe my judgment is a little couldy here, but I think we've got 5th seed at least. I mean, let's be honest, the Islanders suck and the Flyers are gonna be hungry for the win. New York and Ottawa will be a close game, but I think Ottawa will win because they're pretty close in points to Carolina and they're gonna want to pull ahead at the end.My only worry is that the Devils will beat Montreal, which I hate to admit is pretty likely. That would suck. Then we'd have to play Buffalo in the playoffs, and no offense, but I'd rather play Jersey.Gonna be a competitive f

Anyone hear of this game? It's a poker game you can download onto your cell phone. This morning I got bored and downloaded it, and started playing the solo version heads up against the computer's Phil Hellmuth bot.Let me say this: Phil Hellmuth would throw his phone into the wall after playing this game for 5 minutes. The Hellmuth bot draws you out almost every hand, no matter what. I played for like an hour, and I never managed to win more than a hand or two every ten minutes. And if you go all in, Phil will call with virtually anything and draw you out. What a waste of $5...

Well guys, I don't mean to brag, but last night poker winnings got me this:If you play poker sucessfully, maybe someday you too will be able to buy nachos.

I mostly play No Limit home games and tournaments, but I've played online some too. Every time I deposit to a site, my bankroll goes way up at first, and then I get a really cold run of cards and sort of piss away everything.Anyhow, a friend of mine told me that playing limit games online is a lot better because it's fairly consistent. I was hoping to try that, but I really have no experience with limit poker. I've played a little bit with mixed sucess.Any suggestions on how to be sucessful at limit poker online?
