  1. How 'bout them Zags!? Can't remember what I told you all but I ended up not going into the hospital for chemo. Instead the Docs decided I would start radiation treatment on Monday. I'll have a treatment everyday Monday through Friday for 3 1/2 weeks. Not sure but I'm thinking I'll then go in for the 2nd round of chemo I would have had this weekend.
  2. Since I got out of the hospital I've been craving and drinking milk a lot. Mostly 2% but sometimes whole. I grew up on 2% and can't stand anything less and need all the fat intake I can get anyway. Speaking of the hospital, I'm going back tomorrow for the 2nd of these two higher octane chemo treatments. 1st seemed to work really good as the lump on my chest and cheek were both about 90% smaller within a few days. The one on my chest continue to shrink to where you can't tell where it was now but the one in my cheek came back so that's not good. Doc is debating targeted radiation and/or a d
  3. You think everybody is Wang. Except Napa cuz that would be weird.
  4. They will. I have a pair in brown that quickly became my favorite pair of shoes. They were a tad snug at first too.
  5. Reagan = 381 Bush 1 = 166 (only 1 term in office) Clinton = 364 Bush 2 = 291 Obama = 276 (Not updated for January 2017) http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/orders.php
  6. Table I tried to copy and past wont work. will try something else.
  7. Oh, brvy. I was trying out my new dilaudid prescription and totally made up the acid in the face answer based on a recent Blue Bloods episode I watched. Sorry.
  8. cc: RonMexico. Go to www.google.com type: How many executive orders did Obama sign. Read. Learn that Obama and Trump are on close to the same pace, with Obama having a slight edge. We (Republicans) bitched about all the Obama executive orders too so you guys doing so now is also normal. When you start looking at it it is amazing how many executive orders ALL Presidents sign. Personally, I'd like congress to look into regulating executive orders. The job of congress is to be a check valve on the President and executive orders just allow them to bypass congressional approval.
  9. Xhe really did. But without losing those prickly edges.
  10. My prescription for Dilaudid came in yesterday. Tried some last night. It works very well. Not quite as good as the IV version, even though these pills are 4 mg vs 1 mg for the shot, but good nonetheless.
  11. Acid. Thrown in her face by an animal loving zealot for wearing a mink stole given to her by her grandmothers estate upon her passing. Sad really.
  12. Speaking of pizza, my youngest works at a pizza place about 1/2 mile away. The owner is he worst marketer of her business I've ever seen. She has no website, no social media presence, doesn't do coupons etc... And the thing is, they are the only pizza place on this side of town so she should be owning the market. She's closing the store just about this time next month rather than renewing her lease. Actually I guess it sounds like she's selling the business so it sounds like it will stay open in some form. The point of this is I really wish I had the money to buy the place myself. I think it's
  13. Got my 2 meds that were being held up but also, somehow, got a script for oral Dilaudin to go along with my oral oxy. Not sure how I pulled that off except everyone assumes when you have cancer and/or are on chemo you must be in constant pain. Thankfully that's not close to true, at least for me, except for the first 3 or 4 days after chemo. If things start to look like they're not working out I figure I can sell enough oxy and dilaudin to keep my wife going for a while. I'm here. Just been sleeping a lot. I'm really wanting to play. If not this weekend next for sure.
  14. Got home last night. Considering I had 3 days of chemo it wasn't that bad. Dead ass tired today though. Lump on my cheek and chest almost completely gone already. Doc wrote a couple new prescriptions but for whatever reason Medical is holding up paying for them. Ready for my second nap of the day.
  15. Indeed sir. 1st day was fine, nothing real interesting to report. I did get my evening nurse to go straight to dalaudid before she was there an hour. Usually they want you to start small. Tylenol or some such nonsense. so that was nice. Another RN that I know pretty well got to rewrite the order so I can get it every 2 hours rather than 4. So I got that going for me too.
  16. Tre' Gay Even though I almost never leave the house I managed to pick up a nasty head/chest cold that started kicking my ass last night. Sucks. Further suckage is apparently these, what we thought were abscesses, may not be since the Doc wants me to come into the office to go over results of a biopsy I did this past Friday. At this point, not sure which is worse.
  17. The HS book for me was Old man and the sea. It will work its way around the toys just fine, even pushing them out of the way if they're light enough, but of course you'll have dirty spots under them. I can definitely see the kids thinking it's great fun to chase it around.
  18. I'm sorry I posted on the subject, didn't mean to get you all worked up. For the record, I'm also okay with the poor or disabled getting free health care on the backs of the "rich" to some extent. (IMO, should be, like welfare, a hand up not a hand out except for in extreme cases) I think I've mentioned before that I'm receiving Medical which pays 100% of all medical and prescriptions. I have also paid taxes for over 30 years. My daughters bought us an Irobot for Christmas. The thing does a remarkably good job. Only complaint if I had one is it's a little loud. If I were going to work eve
  19. I think you know a hell of a lot more about taxes than you do Obama care. 100% none of the people I'm talking about are paying a nickle more than they have to. They have done the research, used brokers in some cases and ultimately are paying FAR more than they used to for vastly worse coverage. Good on you that it apparently didn't affect you that way but you are wrong when it comes to the folks I'm talking about who are mostly single, or married with no dependents, and make a good living. They are the ones paying for the free plans the poor are getting.
  20. I get what you're saying Napa. All I was getting at is that tax deductions are great but they have to spend the money now/monthly and then get their deduction annually when they do their taxes. Really not trying to argue, you know a hell of a lot morabout this than I ever will, I'm just sharing conversations I've had with people affected by this. Shitty morning. Had to leave the house at 6:30 am for a doctors appt at 7 am to biopsy one of the 3 abscesses I have. This after having to fast, for no apparent reason, for 12 hours so no caffeine to get me going when I got up. #FirstWorldCan
  21. I'd blow all that off for $30 a month. Your time taking care of all that is worth more than that. And the best tax guy in the world can't change having to write the check for health care premiums every month.
