  1. Alex, I am from Auburn, living in WA now but go back a few times a year to visit family. Last time I was in town I was looking for a game but no one I know around there knew of any. The last day in town I found a card room in Auburn right off the freeway near the bowling alley. Is this where you are talking about? What games do they have there? I would appreciate any info you may have for my next visit in May. Thanks, Rick
  2. My first was a NL Tourney at one of the card rooms here in Spokane. I went to watch a friend since I"d never played anything other than home games (and not many of those). Well he kept on me to play and since it was only a $22 buy in I figured WTF. First real pot I was in I limped with A4 off and the flop comes AA4...I was jumping for joy inside so much because of having "trip aces" I didn't even realize until the hand was over and I dragged a huge pot that I had flopped a full house! These are 5 table tourneys that get an average of 55-65 players with alternates and I went out with two tab
  3. Damn, your signature does say it all!!
  4. UNC, I'm from Spokane also. Wondering if we've played against each otherand didnt' know it? I usually play the daily tourney at Ringo's once a week or so and the weekends at Lilac, tourney's and the 2-10 game occasionally. Let me know where u play... Rick
  5. New site, may of heard of it.....www.google.com Lazy S.O.B.
  6. good god man' date=' where are the bars you go to? Sierra Leon?[/[/b']quote] ShakeZuma....author of the funniest replies....ever. Roflmao
  7. Finally someone makes sense around here!
  8. Turn Pro/Make Millions It's ok, it took me a while to get the slang here too.
  9. I'm also new to online play and was wondering if you, or someone else, could explain rakeback. How does it work, how much can you get back etc... I've only played on FullTilt, which I like but was wondering other's thoughts on this site.
  10. So early in a SNG, a $5 sng at that, you have to bet here....I think seriously of going all in. Early in these low buy - in sng's you could easily be up against a flush draw or straight draw and you've got to price them out of catching. My experience is that checking these kind of flops get's me sucked out on more times than not. Just my two cents worth

  12. Zach...Thank you, thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for and, after reading your reply, I'm understanding why I'm getting my ass kicked at 3/6. While there are a bunch of daily tourneys and limit games at my local B&M's, I have yet to find a NL game which is why I started playing limit in the first place. I've taken your (and some other's) advice and bought the above mentioned books and will put to use your suggestions. I'll start posting some hands and asking for advice when I get to that point. Thanks again,
  13. I am the first to admit that this is a weakness to my game that is magnified in limit play possibly. I've been reading everything I can get my hands on and posts here but the mathematics of the game is something that I still have to really think about rather than just knowing the odds automatically at the flop as some people seem to be able to do.Good point. Thanks for the reply.
  14. Thanks Jimmy....very helpful reply.cool avatar too!
  15. lmao.... That's kind of what I was thiking as I left the casino...broke.I also play a $2-$10 spread game at another casino where the players are, in general, better players and I have much more success. The funny thing is, I'm considered a "good" player in NL tournaments....maybe that just shows the level of competition To the first reply, flame on I guess but I'm really asking about the philisofical differences between NL and Limit, I think this reply answers that pretty well.thanks for the reply
  16. I am a long time reader/first time poster here and appreciate the advice and strategies posted by everyone. My frustration is this; I play mostly at local B&M's, very little online in the micro games. While I do very well in NoLimit MTT's (live) and cash games (live and on-line), I can not seem to beat limit games. One of the local indian casinos has a 3/6 limit game with 3/3/6/6 structured betting. Horible game IMO. I can't count the number of times I've had legitimate hands cracked by some old fart calling raises all the way down with 76o. Is the idea in these games to just by in lar
