  1. I saw a Kansas hoops game once.
  2. The faces of my Copags have always seemed a little faded, and I just figured it was a mistake. If they're all like that, I guess I'll pony up for the Kems next time.
  3. Shipped back. Didn't know it was there until after the Neg. O. started. Do you really think a blues loving, poker player would try to steal from an FCP'er? This isn't Wall St., this is poker. There's some honor here.
  4. Living in Chicago, I feel it's important to educate people about the blues.
  5. According to the website of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (where he was inducted in 1989), Redding's name is "synonymous with the term soul, music that arose out of the black experience in America through the transmutation of gospel and rhythm & blues into a form of funky, secular testifying."[1]
  6. Otis Redding was a soul singer, not a "famous blues artist". Very misleading.
  7. Carnegie Deli at the Mirage. I can't get a good Reuben sandwich in Chicago, and I haven't been to NYC lately, so next week's Vegas trip is going to include a Reuben.
  8. "Mustang Sally", I've heard several great live versions, but I'll go w/ Buddy Guy.
  9. GSN, the whole NCAA Tournament, and NFL Sunday Ticket...I love DirecTV more and more every day.

  19. If you can scrape together a few extra bucks, try the $150 at the Venetian. It's a very nice room, plus I think they still serve top-shelf drinks (unlike Caesar's), and it usually has a good number of rich but clueless tourists making donations. The 7,500 starting chips are a lot more than you'll get in any of the lower buy-in tournies. I've played the Planet Hollywood tourney, when it was still the Aladdin, and that wasn't bad. Nice dealers and friendly players. Avoid the Monte Carlo at all costs! A buddy of mine wanted to play there, and I can honestly say it was the worst tournament e
  20. After a so-so poker weekend, I jumped into this tourney because of this thread. I got lucky and finished 108th of 4106. Thanks for the incentive.
