what hand did teddy kgb have at the end of rounders?

I personally think that KGB was on a pure bluff but its the movies for gods sake. There are so many holes and such in the movie I don't think the writers put any time thinking into what KGB may be holding. I myself am a huge fan of rounders but I am also realistic about it. With regards to poker, its a very inaccurate movie. Here are some things I've found that are ridiculous:1. Mike walking in on the judges game halfway through the hand and putting a perfect read on all of them. Now he may be a great natural talent but nobody can do that. And everyone knows you can't bluff out novice pl -
60 minutes is one of the best shows on TV. TV is usually packed back to back with crap shows. but 60 minutes is one that stands out as quality programming. can't wait to see daniel on there.

all those guys are shady. dutch and all that nonsense with his online cardroom and him supposedly pocketing all the money that never was refunded to the customers and never was. something like 1000 users were never able to cash out their money.and i just haven't been able to figure out fischman. i see that he's really up high on the list for player of the year with a lot of final tables last year, but i play with him all the time online in the 3/6 Omaha 8 tables on ultimatebet. that is just weird to me. he's obivously good enough to play higher.and now with this brett jungblut ebay aucti

i remember that episdoe. at the time, i was thinking the same thing as freddy was (and kaseem and freddy are the same person). it seemed like just a horrible call. but, after seeing gus play much more since then, i'm fine with his play. gus plays so well after the flop that he can play any two cards and win. his post flop play is right up there with daniels in my opinion. both can put exceptional reads on players and play each hand as close to correctly as possible.and i'm not bashing freddy either. i like freddy. he's a great player. makes many final tables and plays high stakes game

great idea. i don't mean the time but a stoner tournament. is there any possbility of that happening?

I think I remember hearing something about that too. But it definitely was a high limit for a young girl to play in. It wasn't $10,000 no limit which is what she was playing. What a freakin' joke this show was.

what's even more unlikely are these people you say that make a living at 10/20 or 15/30. there is no way anyone is making a living in these games. i'd be willing to bet that these people have been playing for 6 months and have done well in those six months and think they can sustain that month after month and year after year. no chance.

myself and 3 of my friends are looking to get a weekly game going. we're in northern california. santa rosa specifically. so, we need at least 4 other people to play. all of us play poker regularly live and online. but we also like playing other games besides hold'em that are hard to find in live games. occasionally they get an omaha game in the cardroom hear us but its so rare. we were thinking of a few different formats: HORSE - just like the tournament at the WSOP.....30 minutes of each hold'em/omaha/razz/stud/stud 8/b H2O - has become popular at the higher limits but almost impossible to f

And how about the old guy, the ringleader for the three of them, telling that one young guy that he is the 'best natural card player since Stu "the Kid" Ungar'. i mean, get freakin serious.the acting was in the crapper. i'm really disappointed in michael madsen because he is a very good actor. but even if he is acting well, the written dialogue and the whole atmosphere of the show is just completely off the wall. if he wipes his ass with $9000 why is he only buying into the table with one $10000 chips. so, according the the Matador, has the whole table set up so he can win the amount of

I am a regular pot smoker as well as a regular poker player so more often than not, the two meet. Sometimes they get along but sometimes they don't. I find it to be dependant on the degree of highness.Sometimes I'll get so freakin' high that its impossible for me to think about the game. This results in me playing only my cards and not even trying to make a read on what someone else may have which obviously means more losing. But other times, when I'm a good boy, I'll take a hit here and there (if i'm online its easy but in a B&M i'll sneak out like i'm going for a cigarette) and it will

If he has twelve outs out of the 44 remaining cards in the deck how is it a coinflip? he's about 28% to hit one of his outs in the two cards to come which is like 3.7/1...hardly a coinflip. and the turn brought Bonnetti two pair which took outs away from daniel.

One word: VARIANCEI find that most of the people that complain that they get an inordinate amount of bad beats. More than the average players. And there are many factors for this attitude.1. misunderstanding of probability and statistics. probability theory is an essential part of games of chance. one of the key parts of this is variance which basically says that you will experience the highs and lows of all the possibilities and they will happen in random order. we've all experienced this. there are days where it seems like you can't win a hand to save your life and then there are da -
I didn't catch the post-game interview where Daniel said that because after that hand I ran right upstairs to tell my roommate about it. I have it on TiVO though so I'll check that out tonight. If he genuinely thought he was being outplayed than I can understand that. I just didn't think that he felt he was getting outplayed. I mean, watching Bonnetti I could see that he is a tricky and fearless player but Daniel always came across as so confident I just assumed he thought he could win the tourament with solid play. I guess my read was off on that one.Something similar to this happened to m

Last night on ESPN classic they showed the US Poker Championship that Daniel won. I think it was the 1999 but I don't recall right now. Not important. I saw something that I find quite questionable and wanted to get your guys reaction to it.They get down to heads up and its Daniel on John Bonnetti who is always a delight to watch. Quite a character. So they are playing heads up for what seems like a short amount of time but it could have been edited down a bunch. I don't think it was too drastic. I just think it went quickly especially because of this hand I'm about the describe.Bonnett

There is another Hellmuth moment in this tourney that I love. It wasn't as noticeable as the other in this tourney but still equally entertaining. A little bit after Howard caught his gutshot against Phil, Phil picks up J2 in the small blind and calls Howard in the BB. I forgot what Howard had but they were rags I believe. Howard checks. Flop was pretty plain with a 2 in it. Phil bets and Howard thinks for a little bit. As Howard is thinking, Phil goes 'I mean its unbelievable. This guy won't fold!'. This was just great because it was in the middle of Howards thought process and in th

If you are called on the end you must show both of your cards. If you are playing anywhere where the dealer with push you the pot without showing both of your cards then they haven't been trained properly. That being said, I've played all over the country and cash games and in tournaments and never once haven't they required to show both cards. With the amazing growth of poker recently there are tons of inexperienced dealers that may let you get away with this. Take control, the dealer is there to control the game and make sure everything is on the up and up. But, it is your game. Make s
