What? really? his mom's name isnt Fuz Zee? shocking, truly shocking.birth certificate is fake, he was not born in 78, i believe he is only 20.... -
im on emotional tilt from showing up today for my exam tommorow (and cramming all nite of course).Blaze... you tried way too hard.Because nothing he said makes any sense whatsoever in any world that I know of. So really, it probably didn't require that much effort to disprove what he said. Because his post was so irrelevant, that it almost made your responses not make sense either, lol. Know what I mean? It's like you're arguing with a retarded kid. It's just nonsensical. -
do you really think amazon.com encounters the same level of fraud and attempted fraud as an online poker room? There is verification, and over-verification........Just a thought, can you imagine Online stores like Best Buy orAmazon.com wanting this kind of verification before youcould purchase????? -
i wouldnt enter any 'humor identification' tournaments if i were you.i looked at the title of this thread and rolled my eyes, stupid thread but could have been a lot worse -
The internet, is not the most honest place and I don’t feel comfortable sending hard copies of my personal information of to some unknown person who Daniel, personally may not have hired. maybe they dont feel comfortable sending $300 to some unknown person who may or may not be the owner of that credit card. you people astound me.

i agree. i was simply trying to defraud the site, and they had the nerve to ask for information related to my financial transaction! What a complete disappointment...I deposited yesterday, and after playing my first session i cashed out. I get an email just now saying i need to copy various forms of identification, fill out a form and then fax them all the information in order for the cashout to be processed. Are they kidding? I am withdrawing into my firepay account, which obviously has already been verified; why on earth would I need to send them all this information? Do they expect everyone to do this when they cashout? The phone # provided in the email doesn't even work.-The deposit system is more complicated than any other site I have tried BY FAR. After i made my deposit, it wouldn't let me "transfer" to my poker account.-The stupid "0" at the end of names shouldn't even be an issue; they shouldn't have allowed someone to sign up with a name already taken.-When I clicked tournament info to see the payouts, it takes me to the wrong webpage(Takes me to the "forgot password" page)...why wouldnt they just have this info in the tourney lobby?-Why do you have to sit out in order to reload?-The interface layout is horrible (I realize this one is subjective)-Summary of your account (total $$, $$ in play, bonus status) should be available immediately through the main lobby; you shouldn't have to go to a webpage, login, then go to your account.-Customer support doesn't seem to have a clue what is going on; each person tells me something different. It seems apparant to me that they didn't do nearly enough testing. If they want to complete with the major sites they have a lot of work to do. Disaster if you ask me...Antony -
The thing is, live poker is live poker. If one wants to simulate the live poker environment accurately then one should simulate all that is possible. If the burn card is not important then why not play seven stud with the first two cards up, the middle 3 down, and the last two up? fundamentally each player gets 3 cards down and four up. It is the same game. Isnt it?contrived argument. changing the structure of the game changes the information players receive. not burning a card has no such effect. But back to the point. Each card is about 1.9231 percent. Meaning at the flop there is a 1.0231 differance. On the turn a 3.8462 differance, On the river a 5.7692 differance. X out of 39 is differant than X out of 40X out of 36 is differant than X out of 37X out of 34 is differant than X out of 36X out of 32 is differant than X out of 351.9 percent of what. you have no idea what you are talking about, do you?Run a hundred hands yourself and tell me that the same person that would win in brick and mortar would win online without the burn cards? Tell me the hands would play the same? completely irrelevant. all that matters is that the distribution of outcomes on those 100 hands do not change. which they dont. You cannot tell me those things and be honest. There are fundamental differances. If you are playing online to learn then don't you want to learn in the closest environment that you can to the real thing? Or would you rather adapt a feel for a differant game?you have not provided a fundamental difference in the distribution of outcomes. you have provided anecdotal (and completely incorrect) arguments about a subject you obviously know very little about. Do you know about the House Edge and the fact that is what casinos running? Wether it be a 2%, .2%, or .02% percent edge per trial, the more trials the further off you are the further you go away from origin. that made no sense, whatsoever. and its whether. and house edge is not a proper noun. Look at slot advertisements that say 98% payback. Simply put that is 49% for you with the house having 1% edge on trial one. Then take .5% off from 49% for trial 2 leaving a 48.5 edge for you. Roll that down and eventually you hit 0%. Sure one will win some here and there but most likely, according to reality, one will gamble those winnings away unless it is a large sum. BUT given the intrinsic nature of irregular rewards that person will be hooked on gambling chasing that big score and in the end give back more money than they won. But enough of psychology. the house edge in poker comes from rake. even you, in your inane mumblings, cannot begin to tell me removing burn cards increases rake. Seriously, try it out for yourself. See for yourself how the hands play out differantly. Did any of you try out the experiment for yourself before you snapped off a response? Or did you read an article somewhere about statistically there is no differance? Try the experiment and see for yourself how the hands play out differantly. IT DOES NOT MATTER THAT THE INDIVIDUAL HANDS PLAY DIFFERENTLY.It is like mucking out of turn. It can effect how someone ahead of you calls, bets, raises, or mucks. There are fundamentals to the game that make it what it is. It is like why not talk about what you folded? Those cards are out of play what effect would they have on how others played? The two examples you give affect the game by giving information to players they should not have. your burn card theory involves no gain or loss of information. stay on topic, shooter. I do know why you don't do those things. They give an advantage to those still in the hand because it affects the way the hand is played out. Am I the only one that considers pot odds versus odds of improving or odds against my opponent(s) improving off of hands that I put them on?If I am not then you would apprecaite how much of a differance 2%,4% or 6% has on those calculations. Those that can shape a deck to whatever they desire are not foiled by a burn card or three burn cards. The truly skilled can make a deck produce whatever card they want when they want and to who they want.burn cards are not designed to prevent mechanics from setting decks. they are designed to prevent players from reading marked cards. One is going to be in on several hey hands and a small percentage here or there is important. Ya, position play is not important either, what does it matter where you have what. Everything should be played the same in every position.so, in conclusion, you have no clue about the purpose of a burn card, dont know anything about cheating, have listed percentages that dont correspond to anything, have cited 'house edge' as a factor when it clearly has no bearing, and realistically have absolutely no idea what you are arguing about. good post.

fold, and fold. next question. still dont understand? heres why. think about the range of hands villain moves in with here. If hes extremely stupid, he might move in with AK-AJ, AA-99, and the minute amount of time this is a stone cold bluff is so small its useless to consider (i would say less than 2%). this range is ludicrously wide for this scenario, and most likely his range is exactly two hands, but we will ignore that. with JJ, your equity against this range is 52%, with QQ its 60%. This means that against the best-case scenario hand range, you are basically flipping coins. if we remove the AJ and 99 from villains range, you now have 46% and 53% equity, respectively. of course, in reality villains hand range is likely AA, KK, and for some reckless players AK, and you can guess the obvious equity implications of that range. I agree with wanting to accumulate chips, but you need to find spots where flipping coins is the worst case scenario, not the best case.My friend sent me this question in an e-mail, and we disagree on the response. Any thoughts would be much appreciated... Ok - first hand of a tournament in Vegas (100 Entrants at $100 each, start with 1000 chips, blinds 10-20). You have JJ in the big blind. Guy who is fifth to act goes all in at a ten-person table. Everyone else folds to you. Do you call? Also, does your decision change if you have QQ?Thanks again! -
is this really daniel? You can chat in the lobby which works out great actually. By the way guys, checkout the 4:00pm stickied thread. -
so, essentially, you dont like that theres no rakeback. meanwhile, 30 seconds of research would reveal that the affiliate program is currently being set up.

do you understand what a bonus is? its extra. beyond what you should receive. i honestly cannot comprehend how you idiots can sit here and COMPLAIN ABOUT FREE MONEY. dont like how the free money is awarded? deal with it. its fucking free. Why doesn't the new ite just use the bonus clearing system that pokerroom already uses, why invent a new one that is far worse for players and have everyone complain about it. The amount of frusturation caused by the bonus is pretty apparent based on the forums. -
most casinos will not spread shorthanded games per se (as in they will never limit the table to 6 seats). also, most low limit live players (in my experience up to 10-20) dont like playing short since they have no idea how to. many mid to high limit games are shorthanded by nature, though. (mid-limit poker starts at 30-60).Question: Where can you pick up a Short handed live game?I like playing full games online as I just multi table and play a fairly str8forward brand of poker that gets paid off fairly well.If I could find short handed live games I would likely prefer those over full games as I would find them much more interesting. I get antsy playing full games waiting for hands. -
not everyone plays poker purely for money. some people play for excitement, others for the social aspect, others enjoy the mental challenge. none of these reasons is the 'right' reason. as long as you know why you are playing, you are fine. the nature of short games means that they can be much more stressful. running bad in a short game is much much worse than running bad in a full game. someone who enjoys the social aspect of poker probably wouldnt enjoy a short game.Understood, blaze. I have come to find shorthanded games far more profitable as well; I'm not afraid of being exposed as a poor player at a shorter table. I just simply prefer the dynamic of a rotating full ring game. -

if this was NL, this swing means you had a bad hour. if this was limit, you are likely -EV in that game.I like both...but based on my style of play I tend to feed short handed games too much money...I usually stick to full ring, especially after I had a -400BB swing in the 6max I was playing... -
shorthanded games benefit the skilled player. this seems counter-intuitive since the variance of a short game is much higher, therefore allowing poor players to have much larger short term gains than would seem befitting of their play, but the reality is that short games allow for more hands to be played correctly, giving a skilled player more opportunities to outplay his opponent, and therefore a higher sustainable winrate. personally, i played full ring for a long time, and abhorred short games. I have been playing 6 handed or less exclusively for 3 months now, and let me tell you from personal experience short games are much more profitable. the learning curve on short games is much steeper.
