people found it amusing 6 months ago, when it was plastered all over every message board. thanks for the tip though. -
methinks you have imbibed this evening.
-
probably because theres way less luck involved in razz, which makes it a lot harder for people like you to win?

3 to a wheel to start in a full ring game, and no slowplaying. be wary of rough 7s and 8s, those are the hands that get you killed. if you cant bet, you should probably fold.

I kinda do.My point is, for the three $20 cold-calls and the 20+8+1+2, a mere $55 more won't make him fold hands QQ is beating. Calling's bad too, because if you call the 20, the pot's big, and your out of position with a vulnerable hand against a field. And you don't know he's got you beat already. If you raise 55 more, he either pushes (and you KNOW you're beat and HAVE to light the $75 on fire) or he calls (and possibly makes the cold-callers call, and you have the same problems, only worse). That's why I'm thinking raise all in if you think you're ahead or fold.BTW... You comin down to B

you are a moron.

i dont think the 55$ raise is that bad at all. the kid had made a FEW loose calls, went bust, rebought, and i think this was the last of his cash because he was playing conservatively with it. I was pretty sure he had a monster, but i doubt he'd push with a hand im ahead of, so the 55$ raise allowed me to see his action without committing my whole stack. The texture of this particular game is such that many players will call 20$ raises with what they think are pot odds, but few of them are going to call off half their stack PF without a real hand. PS: i folded, he showed AA, they ran the board

hard hand to get away from..dont think its possible?

you stink at the internet, ibuddy. go get an i-poker book and realize you got pwned. -
QQ UTG+1, 1-2 NL. i have 175 in front of me, up to 7$. UTG+2 makes it 20$, called in 3 spots. im not worried about any of the cold-callers waking up with real hands, theyre all morons. it comes back to me and i pop it 55$ more. UTG+2 debates, then pushes. he has me covered. he made a few loose calls an hour ago, but busted and rebought. since hes rebought he hasnt really been involved in too many hands. call off my last $100?
-
No, it is possible. You just have to make sure that you don't play the hand poorly. And post in the bad beat forum if you lose the hand.people post hands they played poorly without getting flame. they usually dont say the other guy sucked though.
-
6$ SNG players suck... pretty much always.

could i...should i have folded?

POST OF THE YEAR. -
To be honest, bad beats hardly bother me anymore. I guess playing for a min of 8 hrs per day for months on end will do that to you. The only thing that upsets me now is when I maek a poor play. Making a bad decision or a stupid play gets me on tilt, not a bad beat.I never thought I would be like this. Bad beats used to bother me to no end, but I can just shrug them off now.you know why this is? bankroll management. im the same way, and have been ever since i started playing with a super-large roll relative to the stakes. the money shouldnt matter, its a way of keeping score.

here is my two cents: the forum needs the splits. i used to enjoy coming here and conversing with people i had a reportoire with. now, i cant post in a thread without 38 morons who have no clue what they are talking about going off on tangents, pirates hijacking with multiple 'yarr matey's and other such nonsense. not to mention every thread is a lightyear long within minutes.

i can just imagine the UTG player posting here saying "haha some idiot thought he won when he made broadway and i made jacks full and smoked him LOLZ"
