    . . . never heard Christians were "all about slurring jews". I'm a Christian . . . never personally slurred a jew. That happens a lot here . . .

    meh . . . christians are not perfect . . . just forgiven . . .
  3. OK . . . enough on this hand.I actually was in a lot better shape than I thought. I expected a set or some wild 2 pair like 7 2 (lol), but I called his all-in (immediately) and he had a pair of jacks. I ended up hitting my flush although it didn't matter anyway.Other than the smallish feeler re-raise I think I played the hand OK overall. I really wanted to see what others thought though because I started thinking about the odds on the turn. If I really thought he had a set I should have atleast considered folding. I would have only had 20% chance to win if that were the case. It was one
  4. OK . . . hand #2 . . . if I called the raise (and I did) the turn was a 2, then he checked to me??? . . . now what??
  5. 2 hands that came up this weekend. Both had similar flops and my opponents had me guessing both times.400 NL (2/4)Hand 1:My stack = $1,100 +/-Villian's stack = $750 +/-Villian is a maniac. Very, very aggressive. UTG with A A I limp (yes I do this occasionally at uber aggressive tables UTG)4 limpers then BB (villain) raises to $50I re-raise (C/R) to $225All others fold, he callsFlop: 7 7 :heart Q Villian pushes on flopCall? Fold? What can you put him on? Would he really call C/R of that much with QQ or A7? On a steal? What's your thoughts?Hand 2:My stack $850 +/-Villian's stack $92
  6. Yeah, I knew someone would say something about that . I would definately play it different against anyone but this guy. My goal with the weak check-raise was to see if he already had the flush (which I doubted). I play with this guy a lot and he is very aggressive with made hands, so my thought process was if he immediately went all-in on me after my (weak) C/R there was a good chance he already had the flush which took away some of my outs if I decided to call. He is very loose aggressive but he's a good player too. He plays very well after the flop. Since he just called my C/R I knew
  7. Ummm . . . . OK . . . . thanks Ebert . . . give Roeper my best.
  8. Oh yeah . . . don't ever say that again . . . I'm only serious.
  9. I was going to welcome you the FCP way and flame . . . but . . . I won't!Welcome!
  10. Good Question . . . easy answer. If you feel yourself slipping away from GOD as a direct result of your poker . . . You need to quit poker now! This is a serious answer from a Christian poker player. I am a Christian and I play poker virtually every day. However, if I ever felt that poker was pulling me away from my relationship with GOD I would quit cold turkey . . . period. I play poker to support my family (wife and 3 kids). It IS possible for a Christian to play poker and remain true to GOD . . . But you have to remember that as a Christian GOD comes before poker and not the other wa
  11. I had the following hand come up last night and I wanted to see how most would play this hand. I will tell you how I played it until the turn . . . then let me know how you would play it out . . . I'm just curious to different thought processes. There are only two decisions . . . call or fold. But let me know your thoughts either way.Table is a 400NL (2/4) 10 person table. I have $612 and I'm in the big blind. Third position has a stack of $396 and raises to $20 which has been a standard raise at this particular table. AVG pot at this table is $119 per the stats on front page with 30% s
  12. Another intelligent topic in the religion forum.
  13. OP . . . great topic. We should have this moved to the Religion Forum for further discussion.Anyway, to answer your question, this is what I do.I keep my entire bankroll online. When I cash out to Firepay (then my bank account). I have a simple spreadsheet that I plug the amount into. It takes the total amount I cashed out and takes 10% off the top. I set this aside for my tithe. It also calculates taxes, but that is irrelevant to this conversation. Then I tithe every Sunday at church depending on how much I have cashed out that week. This has worked great because it keeps track of all
  14. ditto . . . it was on this weekend!
  15. Old news but . . . I love Firepay. Once your set up you get immediate access to your deposit. On withdrawals it takes them 1 day to process and then they put it in your account. Never any problems.
  16. I wish I had a dollar for everytime this exact same question has been asked . . . I would have one huge bankroll.50NL . . . almost every site on the internet is soft at this level. My advice is find the site you like the best in terms of look, bonus, rakeback, etc. and play there. Not much difference honestly.
  17. I laughed at this . . . it was wrong and I feel bad . . . but it was funny .
  18. Harry . . . you are a true gentleman. I have great respect for your skills at the table . . . and even more respect for your attitude away from the table.
  19. I agree with Donkslayer . . . it sounds more like a philosophy than a religion. I'm not sure what I think about a "philosophy" where there is no absolute. It sounds like it basically tells you to believe what you want . . . so in essence . . . what is the point of it?
  20. Obviously I am being purposely overdramatic. But maybe you are coming off in a way your not meaning to. Personal attacks are not really intended. I was just trying to get my point across. Sorry if I came across wrong as well.
  21. . . . that was pretty funny!
