that B&M must be rigged too

So take their money and move up to higher limits where you'll find better players

Full Tilt and Pokerstars are both much better than PP for SNG's

always missing the point... small little ego's

I agree with most of what you say, I guess belittling other people makes them feel better. But sometimes it needs to be pointed out if they made a mistake, even if the other player made a bigger mistake. But it should be done in a constructive way. Against better competition their mistakes will be magnified, and they need to realize that calling 2 all ins with JJ will often leave them with a slim chance of winning. But the flaming does get old -
Richard Brodie, "quiet lion" always refers to Greenstein as Spock. But Count Chocula is pretty funny too. Lets not get into X22

Yukon, what do you mean by 89% player beat? And for the original poster, don't play at a site where the blinds go up every 10 hands. Its too much of a crapshoot at the end, there are so many other sites to pick from. Full Tilt and Pokerstars seem to have the best structures I've seen. You can be much more selective and a preflop raise doesn't leave you almost pot commited.

$50 to $1000 on pstars day..um 11? i think...

I see you really dislike Ax offsuit, and I agree. But it seemed like you were shorthanded or maybe the hand history didn't show all the players. Is there any point at which Ax off becomes playable for you in late position? I like the hand a lot more 4 or 5 handed than 9. -
I don't know where you live EarWax but if not for online I'd have only one place to play. There is a casino in Tampa but its straight limit $2 per bet, tahts it. And I could only play hold em, stud or omaha h/l. Plus since I live on the opposite side of Tampa it takes an hour just to get there and the room is always full. It's also on an Indian reservation, so they are making almost all the money. Perosnally I feel I should be able to decide when and where I like to play, if i want to play at 3 am in my boxers I should be able to. It's a joke the way some things are regulated.

Try to find the weaker looking players at your table and try to take pots from them. Remember that alot of people in this tourney can be exactly like you, I'm sure there are more than a few who got in from the $4 sit n go's also. Other than that play your game, play tight preflop and play position. Survive for the first hour then you might have to start to mix it up and the blinds go up and they become worth stealing.

I hope you wrote his name down, follow him to every tourney. First he let you limp in when he had AT four handed, if he's an aggressive player why didn't he raise? Then he massively overbet the pot risking all his chips with an ace high when a pot size bet would have told him all the info he needed to know. God I love internet poker.

Sometimes a +EV play may not be the correct one in a tourney or sit n go. Your argument about making 216 per hand is fine for a cash game, but in sit n go's you can't rebuy.

I'm putting on my tin foil hat for protection, this thread is getting dangerous. But I can't see how you can make a "read" against someone you've never played before during the 2nd level of a sit n go. Bad players do get good cards too, AJ may look pretty but most of the time its not going to be good against 2 all ins. I'd have to say your read was more of an educated guess based on only a few hands. You weren't short stacked so why put half your chips in, you only have a 60% edge at best against any hand except Jx. If you like gambles go for it, otherwise outplay these weak players on the fl

Thanks Prince, great link.

i played 30-60 razz todoy...now that is a fun game
dms26 replied to liveactiononly's topic in General Poker Forum
Razz is a good change of pace, I'm surprised full tilt is the only site that has it. Its amazing what people will raise with, I love low draw games. But stud h/l is favorite game at the moment so I haven't been playing much razz lately. -
It is invitational, only 200 of the best players. WPT is having 6 I think, 1 has already been played during the Foxwoods WPT event a few months ago. So I'm guessing they will show these during season 3 instead of making us watch reruns for months.

i need help with my game...very desperately (please)
dms26 replied to ldudeus's topic in General Poker Forum
Play money can help a little, but its mainly maniacs who bet and call with anything so you will see some bad suckouts. If your only 16 then the only way you can play real money is to win a freeroll or place high enough to cash in one. And please dont call huge raises with low suited connectors, only limp from the blinds or maybe on the button if there has been another limper or two before you. Never check kings on the flop with all undercards, slowplaying usually gets you in trouble. And if your recent downswing is getting to you try limit games, its a much steadier way to manage your ban -
Fake, I think there was a hand with him against Matthias Anderson where he asked how much he had left, Anderson said something like 700K and Arieh raised to about 550K. I'm not positive but I do think I know what your talking about. I remember Norman Chad making a comment about why would be bet just a tiny bit less than what the other player had. I didn't really understand that either, because your not folding if he comes back overtop of you.

"When one player has a pocket pair, that TWO other players usually will ALSO have a pocket pair 50% of the time. (This rarely happens in real life.) " This has to be the most vague statement ever writeen about poker. C'mon it sounds like they got Yogi Berra to write this. 90% of baseball is half mental. If you actually believe this guy you fell right into his trap.

last night i got pocket aces on three hands in a row
dms26 replied to TheSandMan's topic in General Poker Forum
The best 3 hands in a row I've ever had is 9's. What was really funny was that it was heads up during the end of a sit n go so I didn't get much more than the blinds.
