Yeah probably best in the worldHmmm, someone get Doc Brown and we'll hop in the time machine to 1989 to where the above is true again.I'll bet you $50 that he gets 2 bracelets this year. Not being a jerk but I'll take that bet. -
I ws a BJ dealer at The Sheraton casino in Tunica. My gf was 6 mo pregnant and I was out drinkng too much. I got off work and went next door to the Horseshoe to drnk. I played a little on the poker machine. I won 60 bucks and decided to play some BJ. I got up 300 there. A friend told me I should come with him to the Circus Circus casino(no Gold Strike). I turned that 300 into a little more than 10,000. I walked back through the Horseshoe and decided I was gonna win 30k that night. I put a WAD of 100's on 1 hand. I got a 10 and a 6. The dealer had a 7 so I had to hit it. I busted and the dealer

Unless they give it to you, which some times they do. But I was curious thought if they DO sasy they'll tell you then don't is that cool? -
I really think Antonio is pretty weird for that site. If he in fact is the one that's behind it. I havn't looked at it so I don't know much if anything about him. I think sometimes these jokes about famous people go a little far...... BUTAs I sit here watching "The Big Labowski"... Iswear Antonio reminds me of "The Jesus"

Ted Forrest victoriousJensen pushed in preflop for 741k with A8 and Forrest called with pocket eights. The board came 7546J with four clubs. Forrest heldthe only club.Randy Jensen will go home with $100k for 2nd place.Ted Forrest is our victor and will go home with $200k plus a $25k entry into Season Four's WPT Championship.

I agree.... Gavin won a WPT tourney the other day. I'm not sure if you think I have them confused. I realize Ted took 2nd in that tourney. I may be wrong but I went to www.pokerwire.com and I thought I saw Forrest won last night at the Mirage.

I appreciate your answer and no you didn't come across as mean. I don't think it's dorky but I look at it kinda like when several players, like DN, where they say I know I'm beat but I'm going to pay you off. There are many reasons why I ask.... One of them is hoping they show me for free hoping to gain info. -

NicksDad1970 replied to NicksDad1970's topic in General Poker Forum
First off no someone shouldn't show you just because you asked. But if you ask and then they say they will and then don't.I realize a big part of poker is to be deceptive. So that's why I asked the question. Some of you guys just sit there and pray to find something to be jerks about. Have you ever answered a question without being a smart a$$? Try it IMHO it really isn't that difficult....and why not ask in the first place? There's a rule saying you can't ask? Heck I've seen players say many things trying to get info... -
Have you ever played and asked someone if you folded would they show?Well I did today and the player on Party Poker named "devilqueen2" said "k". Then he/she mucked and said oh I'm just a stupid girl. Is that just poker or is it BS?

I'm playing at a multi table qualifer on PP and a .25/.50 nl table. I just got the exact same hand on both tables. 6c6h. Flopped a set on one and won the other one as well. Has that ever happened to anyone here?

He won a PPT tourney last night.

Are there certain hands you'll play for some dumb reason?I mean you won't play them no matter what but that you take a bigger risk on.At one of the 500$ entry tourneys at the WPO this year I was unfortunate enough to play against Robert Williamson III for a couple hours. I won't bore you with all the details. I played my AA to weak against his raise. He ended up having pot odds to call my raise. Then on the flop when I put him all-in he caught an inside straight against me with his 59. Since then I try to play my 59 soooooooted. Now I lose with that hand as well.

Ya, I remember that.

I knew I saw jdawgs on a final table before Turning Stone. So I went to the Hendon Mob and I found this:16-Dec-04 $ 25,000 Main Event FinalHeads Up Limit Hold'em Tournament, Las Vegas 3rd $ 48,500 06-Nov-04 $ 2,000 Limit Hold'em2004 World Poker Finals, Mashantucket 7th $ 8,875 05-Oct-04 $ 9,700 No Limit Hold'em - Main EventUnited States Poker Championship, Atlantic City 6th $ 63,486 29-Jul-04 $ 10,000 No Limit Hold'em Final Day2004 Mirage Poker Showdown, Las Vegas 14th $ 27,002 08-Jul-04 $ 10,000 No-Limit Hold'emChampionship Poker, Verona 2nd $ 250,000 30-A

Obviously I'm only guessing. I think at that time Hoyt had already said"let me double up again and I'll be coming after you". Anyway jdawgs had to have been thinking "he wouldn't push all-in w/o having a little something. So he wouldn't call an all inner w/o something himself. So Hoyt was just gambling on jdawg not having much. I mean jdawg isn't calling an all in with K-10, A-rag. So he's folding marginal hands IMHO.

i like how you insult someone because they have enough money to support themselves. thats a little odd.If I was young and single and had a decent bankroll, liked to travel, and not worry about bills I'd live with mommy too.I don't know how much money he has but I think he's doing it the right way.Now if he won 5 mil last year on tourneys and cash games then I'd venture out, call Lindgren ask em where he got all those plasmas and other bachelor stuff and get me a real estate agent.

I'm finally watching The Big Labowski again.....It's hilarious!
-
Agreed....Normally I'm proud to be a Tennessean but after a lot of our politicians getting arrested (FINALLY!) I don't know what to say.
-
Close, I guess what I was gonna just maybe add to your post is if it isn't your bankroll it's the limit at the table. Most tables that start at 5$ have a 5k max. The old stories about The Horseshoe in Vegas was your limit is what your first bet was. So if your first bet was 50k you could bet that all night long. But you couldn't do the double up catch up forever.

do you even know who mizrachi's " crew " is....??
NicksDad1970 replied to PokerDealer2005's topic in General Poker Forum
Were you there or did you hear that stuff from watching it on TV? I'm just curious because if you heard it on TV I'd like to go back and watch it again.
