  1. I'm not trying to pick apart your post but I was wondering if you would clarify something for me. Did MM have hundreds of thousands in front of him or were there hundreds of thousands on the table?
  2. Sorry I don't mean to offend you, but for a nonamer like you do you really actually think people will really stake you without any additional gain?I mean your offer is really bad. If I want to stake someone, why don't I stake some better known players instead (again this is not personal to you). Now if you give a condition such that if someone stake you say $100, you will be willing to give away 10% to 20% of your winning, then there will probably be a very slim chance of some risk-takers. But I still won't do it! Again this is not personal, it just seems like a very bad investment to me.It may
  3. Well, I knew he couldn't retire off it. I just was hoping he wouldn't blow it all this month. Who knows he may win a couple more bracelets this year and never have to worry about money.I just hear about so many pro's going broke and it would be nice if he didn't.
  4. Congrats on the win. What (to me) is awesome is the fact that at your young age you responded (to the jerks that gave you a hard time)in a mature way. I can say for sure that 13 years ago when I was your age I would have told everyone how great I was and blah blah blah. You are a man. I hope you do well and continue to act like the professional you appear to be.P.S. - I'm BEGGING you to sock some of that money away for the future. If you knew me you'd know I'm the last person to give financial advice. But I guess the people in the worst position might be able to give the best advice (that you m
  5. This may have already been stated and if so sorry but is "ggriffin" Gavin Griffin? If so weren't you the youngest last year? I guess with the internet players people are getting better and better faster.
  6. Speaking of that Carlos called Deeb's all in with 10-8 and caught the 8. I think Deeb had 55. Considering Carlos is about guaranteed to make the semi;s in the Inv 2 tourney he was looser than normal.
  7. I need 2 things :1) A flux capacitor2) A Delorean that will go 88 mph.
  8. According to www.cardplayer.com that is exactly what happened. That would have put Juanda up over 100k.I could see an all-in by the first guy with A-10 or maybe even less trying to steal. I could see Juanda going all in with A-J or higher and trying to scare anyone else away from calling. Knowing the first guy would go all in with a marginal hand. So I can see how Antonio felt his chances were decent in having the best hand at the time....... But knowing he'd more than likely be facing at least 4 overs wasn't the smartest move. Sometimes those wild moves are exactly what get you to the top. No
  9. The biggest tourney I played in was a 500 buy in at the WPO in Tunica this year. I don't remember if it was 10 or 11 handed. But in all the tourneys I've played in I never approached anything differently between the two. Unless you're talking about the difference in tummy and leg room. If that's the case then I'm with ya.....it SUCKS! Just hope they don't make you 11 handed at a table that's made for stud. Then you're screwed.
  10. I agree...except for the comb...He's great.

  12. I have no specifics but at the WPO this year there was an event where one guy was down like 250-1 and came back.
  13. My initial thought is that Daniel was not putting all that money in himself. But since then Daniel has said it was all his money in these heads up matches. As far as his bankroll....I could only guess like the rest. I'm not very smart so I won't guess.
  14. Tell that to a 4,6, and an 8 year old. Last March(before I got married and she has 2 kids) I took my son to Nashville for a NASCAR 3-D IMAX movie. Then the next day I took him to Six Flags in Atlanta, The next day was a NASCAR race, then the next was an NBA game, then the last day I took him to a NHL game. He LOVED all of it.I hope that when he's 25 he'll still look back at that as one of the best times of his life. He's my best friend and an awesome little boy.
  15. I would have never taken an equal chop when I had the chip lead. Honestly I would have waited until the 2 or 3 low stacks were out. But it was really nice. That will pay for the hotel and the Six Flags tickets. Those friggin 6 flags tickets were 225+/- for ONE DAY!
  16. Thanks all....and son yo9u shuld be in bed
  17. oh..... 9th would have paid 184...8th was like 230......I got 1023.88 with the chop..
  18. I havn't had a good run of cards lately. So I decided to go to the Grand Casino to play a lil NLHE tourney. 130 entry and 1 100 dollar rebuy.I bust a few out and get 77 with 50 - 100 blinds. I raised to 225. folds to a caller UTG. He reraises me to 700. I hoped he had 2 overs so I called. The flop was KJ7. He checked I bet 400 and he raised me to 1200. I had about 5k left and he had a lil less than that. I put him all in. He called instantly with AA. He got no help.I make a lil too big of a raise. 1 caller. I had AK. The flop was QJx. He checked and I bet 1500. I thought that's about all he ha
  19. If I hear " Boogity Boogity Boogity let's go racin boys" one more time I'll ..... umm ... well I guess I won't do anything. But I sure hate it when I hear that.
  20. IMO they aren't owed anything but a sincere apology. That was terrible that the Army made up a story. They may have been doing it for the right reasons but it was still terrible.I won't go to far trying to defend one politician from another. But there were people with Kerry that said he made up a lot of that purple hart stuff. But it is almost comical when someone who doesn't even go makes fun of the other for what he did while he was there. IMO Kerry would have done the same thing to Bush if he could.....It's all who can lie the best or what dirt can be dug the best.
  21. I had some friends that were very invloved with making that movie. One was Herb Wilmont. He said that movie was going to be the greatest. Then it went almost straight to video. I never saw it....any g00d?Anyway a couple others were :The Hustler and The Color of MoneyThey were hboth good but The Color of Money was awesome to me because at the time I was really into pool and there were many players that helped out with that movie that I knew or just really looked up to as players.Graty Seasons in that movie was a guy named Keith McCready. I had not met him at that point and I asked a friend what
  22. After his 2 WPT final tables he also had at least one WSOP final table last year. A NL one where he busted "The Mouth". Wait there was at least one more last year where he had a big stack and got some bad beats. I think Ram Vaswani and Miami John were also at that table.I don't have a list of the tourneys nor do I have Paul's results but he sure seems to make it to many final tables. Especially since he doesn't play all of the big tourneys.
  23. Odds aren't near as high but in the WSOP last year two of the guys on 7 stud had AAx.... Yesterday I split a pot with a guy when we both had 77.
  24. I've been playing online for about a month. I've played in about 20 tourneys.I barely came in the money 3 times.I came in 5th or 7th in one where there were about 1800 players. (575.00)I came in 2nd in one with about 1800 players. (2800.00)I've played in about 50 B&M tourneys. I've won 4 of em. Placed in maybe 5 others. I play tourneys so much better than cash games. The B&M tourneys are getting to have too much of an entry fee. So I'm playing more online than B&M these days.
