for those who believe that sitting out is the "ethical" thing to do:while blinds are escalating and you are sitting out to be "fair" to your disconnected opponent, what happens if you are dealt premium hands (AA, KK, AK, etc.) while you are sitting out? do ethics obligate you to fold these hands too? if not, where do you draw the line?

I think the movie is easier to enjoy if you view it as a series of (related) vignettes as opposed to a cohesive movie. the performances of the actors, particularly willem dafoe, the visual imagery, and the meandering pace of the movie were what i enjoyed - much more so than the actual plot.don't worry if you feel that you "didn't get" the movie - i really don't think there was any deep or hidden message to get. i think wes anderson just wanted to get some of his favorite actors together to do a quirky movie and have some fun. said another way, don't bother looking for the subtext, it was all r
