  1. I've been playing for about 3 months on PokerStars and PartyPoker (just started Party 2 weeks ago) and I'm up like $200 overall. But, I got retarded on PS for a while. I was playing way over my head and skill level .. 3/6 and 5/10 games with a $200-300 bankroll. I took time to learn the game without thinking about proper money management. Now I'm playing $.50/1 to build up my bankroll while still learning the game.
  2. Heh, yeah. This is like watching reality TV and then fighting with people about the stuff that goes on in the show.
  3. I agree. Unless the table is moving in slow motion, 1 BB+ is completely doable. Yes, I said doable.
  4. I was wondering what he was blabbering about...
  5. Small world. I work in North Quincy.
  6. Guess it would depend on the stakes of the game.
  7. Yeah, keep up the solid playing.I haven't won any tourneys, but I do very well at lower limit Sit n' Go games. Just won $50 this morning in a one table $10+1 limit SnG on PartyPoker.I guess that's ok for having only played for a few months.
  8. Couple things.First, I don't consider making $80 playing a 2/4 game to be "killing" it. I can make $80 playing .50/1 or 1/2 for a couple hours if the right cards fall. Plus, if you usually did kill it when you played, you'd have bankroll to survive bad beats like that.If you don't have the bankroll, you can't do it. Simple as that.
  9. I wasn't taking it that far, but thank you for the responses.
  10. Thanks guys.Btw, it was about an hour's worth of playing, and at such low stakes, I only lost like 5 bucks. I've only played about 300 hands so far, and I don't plan on moving up to $1/2 unless my bankroll increases to about $500-600.
  11. ...or is there something to this?OK, so a week ago today I joined PartyPoker and made an initial deposit of $100. I only played $.50/1 and $25 NL and was getting great hole cards and crushing the game. By Monday I had $340. Now? Rags. In the last 40 hands I've played, I had 3 decent sets of hole cards. The rest are J20, 460, 37o, etc.Think newbies get good cards when they sign up to get sucked in, or is this just a natural swing?I'm taking it in stride, btw. Just wondering what pop. opinion is about online sites. Thanks.
