  1. Lol, ugghhhhh, my internet connection just very randomly died for 10 minutes. And it had to happen when I repopped a lag with A932ds on the button at a 400 table. I have no idea what happened afterwards, if it just folded my hand or if I dp'ed and won/lost a little $60 pot.Aseemand edit: double ugghhhhhhh as I had a nice $1400 stack at a $600 table which I got booted off of and now I'm fourth on the waiting list. And all my 400 tables also kicked me off and those waiting lists are ridiculous (9 long on each table). HYACHAHCHAHCHA
  2. Bleh, was super card dead the whole time and am now position 94 out of 102 with a little over 1k chips. =/Aseem
  3. I understand, but I'm asking from a purely EV point of view. This is of course super high variance, but am I doing anything wrong by just pumping this pot up when I *think* I have the best of it?And also, if the money doesn't get in on the flop, the turn can be tricky to play depending on what it is and the stacks still in play. 7. Sorry, I don't reveal my FT and Bodog screennames. I don't play on Bodog that much, though, because the software is a huge pain in the *** and it kills my computer sometimes too. And it randomly crashes and that's sooo ridiculous if I'm in big hands. So mainly just Stars and Tilt for me.Aseem
  8. Seems American evenings+nights are best, but there are usually games going at most reasonable times.Aseem
  9. Unfortunately, the lesson is only learned for a few weeks. Inevitably this damn cycle repeats itself every month or so, and it has varied between just a small $50-$100 pot to a full $1000 buy-in to a medium $400 pot or so.****ing Bodog software. I hate it. I really want to email support and ask them if they can block me from sitting at any PLO table above $200.I think the total damage has been ~$1500, so not terrible, and this is over 6 months or so.Aseem
  10. No problem. Just PLO8, although five times counting now, something like this has happened...Aseem opens up a few sites to see if there are any good PLO8 games going.Okay, just the usual couple 400 tables, a shark sitting by himself at a 600 table (no thanks), okay, okay...HOLY BATMAN a full ring 1000 table!!!! aoiusdoahdsaohdahdiadaAnd I only see like two sharks, the rest are unknowns!!!!Immediately buy in full, fold a couple of hands as I read 2+2 (BBV), check email, play other tables, etc. Then I get A-2-6-8 and open somewhere in MP and get a few callers.Flop is 7-5-3 rainbow, I pot and get c
  11. What I almost exclusively play is 400 and 600. On Stars, the 400 is decently soft while the 600 basically depends on if a decent fish is sitting (otherwise it tends to not be that great). On Full Tilt, the 400 is quite soft while the 600 generally only runs short and game selection is important (i.e. don't sit if just a couple of sharks are sitting). I also once sat down at a Full Tilt 200 and it was ridiculous(ly soft), but I almost never play 200 anymore so I'm not sure if that was normal or not.Aseem
  12. I am willing to buy some action, anywhere up to 50% (I cover x% of the buy-in and receive x% of any profits -- I believe that's the standard method), but it depends on who. PM if interested. I'm that confident in this forum's PLO8 skills. =)Aseem
  13. H_Factor, you are extremely off and way wrong. You have such a monstrously huge edge with A234s in a six-way field. And fwiw, position is the least important factor to consider in loose, low limit LO8 games, imo. As in, I think position is basically irrelevant in those games and you're completely fine making every move as if you were the button (preflop specifically).Aseem
  14. Just my two cents that I wouldn't like it combined either. For those who think they're similar games....I almost never play PLO.I feel extremely uncomfortable at PLO.I have a decent understanding of the game but don't feel myself experienced enough to give advice.I.... don't think PLO is at all that similar to PLO8.I don't know how to stress it enough. JKOffsuit did a pretty good job explaining how much the bi-directional nature changes things. And also, not to sound arrogant or cocky or anything, but it does get very annoying when people who think they're qualified to give advice, when they're
  15. JacKing,I don't think check/call river is a good option at all. I was mostly wondering between check/fold or push, or some other alternative like bet $70 and fold to a push.I agree that checking with the intention of calling is not great. But I think I see in your post why checking with the intention of folding also isn't great.Aseem
  16. checky, can you elaborate here? I don't understand why I would want to shove on the flop if AAxx (esp with a low card) almost always calls here, but on most turns he might fold. and why do we have to fold a brick turn if it's a low card, e.g. this turn? the bold part made me laugh. reraising with 5678 ds is clearly a losing play, but you are right that i would want to get out of the game if the player was good enough to be able to do that AND make money consistently. yikes.aseem
  17. Check/call a river push is not an option, I think that's really bad without a read, and even then it's super marginal. On the turn, the choices are:- donk bet push (tptk + 2nd nut low draw + fold equity against a better high hand)- check/call a push(I think check/folding the turn to a push isn't great, because here a lot of bare A-2's are likely to semi bluff push in a big pot, but tell me if you disagree and would check/fold to a push here. I think that's pretty weak, though, with good prospects on both the high and the low and the big pot...)On the river, the choices are:- donk bet push (fold

  20. No read on villain. This is literally the third hand of the game. (First hand, I folded the SB. Second hand, he raised to 30 and I folded the BB.) Blinds are 5-10 and starting stacks are 1500, so he has 30 more chips than me at the beginning of the hand (I think this is very irrelevant).FCP is really dumb with Omaha hands; I can't put all the suits up graphically because it apparently exceeds the image limit. So just read the hand from Pokerhand.http://www.pokerhand.org/?686432Please share all opinions -- did either of us overplay our hands? Take into account that:a. winning the hand virtually
  21. It was in response to the hypothetical that BB checkraised.Aseem
  22. okay, I think this is my LO8 side coming out. I know you don't stack off going for only half the pot heads-up, that's really basic, but I figured in a seven-way pot you should still at least bet for value with a nut high hand (and you can't get quartered with a nut flush).albeit, it's different if i have a made nut flush on the river than with just a nut flush draw on the flop.aseem
  23. No, we should still be folding unimproved. BB three-bet out of position preflop, bet the flop, and checkraised the turn multiway. That's pretty strong.Aseem
