Having the same basic car and paying an extra $12-15k for some more horsepower doesn't really interest me at all.

I tested the Lexus IS, it was just nothing special imo. It just kinda felt like a real nice Toyota, which is kinda what it was. It felt like it had less performance with a V6 than the Audi does with a 4-cylinder.

Cane, I appreciate advice and input anywhere I can get it. I've talked to people who have gotten different models of cars from the same dealer, and have had no problems with that dealer. I'm definitely considering all options right now, and still may get a different car, but I think the A4 is the most likely choice for me at this point.

Don't worry. First thing I did was square away the taxes situation. I basically split my bankroll in thirds. 1/3 for taxes, 1/3 for poker bankroll, 1/3 for a new car, then taking whatever is left over from that third and investing it. I really have no big purchases to make other than a car, I figure I might as well get a nice one for $30k rather than getting something decent but not that nice like a Mazda 3 for $23k.

What you have to remember is that Ann Arbor might as well be its own state. I doubt my car will be hassled at all.I def realize your first sentiment. I looked at Infiniti for a while, just felt like it was a little too old of a car for me.

Between the Government's cash for clunkers program, dealer incentives because new car sales are tanking, and the government's new car tax credit, it's probably the best time in a long time to buy a new car.This car had a list price of $35,400, after trading in my junker Town Car and all dealer incentives, plus taxes, I'm going to get it for like $30,300. Only thing I have to sort out now is the extended warranty.

Don't worry, I'm not getting a Mazda. I'm about 95% getting a new Audi A4.
