I guess I can't bring myself to watch another episode of Tilt because I'm just plain irritated. How cool would it have been if they would have revolved the story around a guy who was involved in small hometown poker games and eventually made the transition into the 'bigger leagues'... the ups, the downs, the toll it took on relationships...new relationships it lead to... the things he had to give up to chase his poker dream. There are plenty of twists and turns they could have taken with addictions, emotional struggles, financial struggles, relationship struggles.... yada yada yada... all from

Women are just plain good at that in general. ;)Mary

Here's my analogy on why the writing for Tilt went bust...Take a show like CSI, West Wing...or whatever popular medical drama I can't think of.... Those shows appeal to the masses because they dip into areas that a consensus of people may find some intrigue in, but don't necessarily have a personal interest or knowledge in. I think in those cases, you have some creative license to go a bit extreme with the writing because it makes for good entertainment and frankly, people don't care if it's accurate to the subject matter. We don't have a real need or want to relate directly to the premise

One more voice on the disappointed side of the fence. I actually missed the first portion of the show... but the last half that I did see was quite a disappointment. I guess they figured that nobody would be interested unless they got outrageous with the story line.... which is rubbish. They forget that they are catering to an audience who will gladly sit there and watch grown adults play cards for hours at a time and not think twice about it. How hard are we to entertain? Mary
