Pretty much my whole Masters class had their pick of firms to work for since i graduated right at the height of sarbanes implementation. A lot of those people got passively laid off over the last couple years as business and the regulators realized that a lot of the regulations that were causing so much extra work and money for the companies they were there to protect were essentially worthless. I did a TON of controls testing my first 2 years. I would say it had some non-zero value in that it helped a lot of companies shore themselves up internally, but most of what was forced on business

the only woman you listed who isn't amazingly outclassed by dozen or more people on this forum alone at tournament poker is kathy liebert, and she's been around forever. There are 55ish events at the WSOP this year. subtract out the ladies / seniors / specialty events, and that's about 50 normal open events. I'll happily give you 2-1 on any amount of money you can raise that 10% of the bracelet winners in open events this year won't be women.

You are seeing a statistical anomaly. Historically, in open events women have underperformed in poker relative to their numbers in the field. jack mcclelland F'd himself with this tournament hard. All of the prelims were $500 or 1k events, mostly rebuys which had pretty horrible turnout. 40 or less players for a bunch of them. In prior years the series prior to the WPT championship had tons of good events with 100+ players, but until a couple weeks ago the schedule was 100% $1k rebuys, which I don't know a single player that was excited about. EPT san remo was over capacity, even though the continent had half its flights grounded due to the volcano. Pretty incredible imo.

There are plenty of fair minded people on this forum who started as rabid fanboys. DN is a great tournament player. He has a style that allows him to dismantle inexperienced opponents extremely well, and live tournament experience that maybe a dozen people on earth can match.
